"White text on black background enhances the nighttime theme, serving as a natural fit for lights out exploration. This would make a fun addition to your general animal collection and would pair well with [Neil Gaiman's] CREATURES OF THE NIGHT."―San Francisco Book Review

"These illustrations invite repeated exploration... Attention-grabbing."―Kirkus

Animals don’t light up. It’s like an other kids books...
If you turn off your light, dark as charcoal, couldn’t read if course and couldn’t see any color animals.
Don’t buy unless you just want this book.

Gave this gift to my nephew over the holidays paired with one of those partial over-the-bed glow tents. Total hit. I only flipped through a few times and made a few pages glow but was very impressed with the quality of the writing, illustrations, and the glow-in-the-dark effects. This is exactly the kind of book I'd have loved as a kid. Definite keeper for years to come. I'd absolutely purchase again for another child.

Really long, wordy, and factual. Not the most fun thing to read to your 3 and 6 year old. Pages glow well.

Didn't glow as bright as I had hoped even after "charging" it in light

Is it an actual glow in the dark book? I can barely see anything at the night time
