Firmware version 1.0.01.01 does not save any settings automatically. If you make any configuration change you must remember to save otherwise on the next power cycle the settings will be back to defaults!

* Original *
Pros: 4 Port POE with 4 normal ports, Easy to configure VLAN (Layer 2)
Cons: all VPN options are completely unusable. The PPTP is completely broken with the official "fix" from Cisco to use a Radius server for user authentication. IPSec appears to be broken as well as you can only use it from site to site from a known IP address meaning you cannot easily use your phone / dynamic clients to connect to the VPN. OpenVPN is broken too; couldn't even determine how it was busted.

Good only for POE and VLAN. Useless for anything else.

I replaced an old - out of service (gigabit Netgear fvs318g) router with this sucker and my download speed jumped from 25Mbps to 479. Upload went from 11 to 22.

The setup was super simple.

I unplugged my modem and old router and plugged in all the existing (cat6) cabling to the new one.
Plugged in the power to the modem and let it boot/connect.
Plugged in the power to the router and let it boot.
Then logged into the router admin page and executed the simple (all recommended settings) in under 2 minutes.

Yes, it's more expensive but I plan to use some of the features (PoE and remote access VPN). Plus it has Cisco IOS which is industry standard networking OS.

Highly recommend this. Just get it!

Very good performance. my ISP provider limited only 10 devices so I have to add additional router to expand more devices to access internet. This is the best Router I had. With PoE,8 ports, very fast NAT and easy to set up. The dimension is suitable for my desk, Very good package. Perfect Router which I want.

Less than a month and the unit burnt out. An expensive paper weight now. Joke of a product. Not suitable for a business. Who will pay me for downtown time ? Stay far away from this garbage.

Using this for business. Works exactly as described.

This router works great and has all the features we need. The ability to use VLANs and POE make it possible to operate a few smaller networks and WAPs without spending a fortune.
