Lie Down with Lions: Ellis, the American. Jean-Pierre, the Frenchman. They were two men on opposite sides of the cold war, with a woman torn between them. Together, they formed a triangle of passion and deception, racing from terrorist bombs in Paris to the violence and intrigue of Afghanistan - to the moment of truth and deadly decision for all of them... Eye of the Needle: One enemy spy knows the secret of the Allies' greatest deception, a brilliant aristocrat and ruthless assassin - code name: "The Needle" - who holds the key to the ultimate Nazi victory. Only one person stands in his way: a lonely Englishwoman on an isolated island, who is coming to love the killer who has mysteriously entered her life. Ken Follett's unsurpassed and unforgettable masterwork of suspense, intrigue, and dangerous machinations of the human heart. Triple: EGYPT -- where, hidden deep in the desert, a top-secret project to build a nuclear plant that will give the Arabs the bomb nears completion... ISRAEL -- where the Mossad's top agent, Nat Dickstein, is given an impossible mission: to find and steal 200 tons of uranium without any other nation discovering the theft... RUSSIA -- where top KGB officials have decided to tip the atomic balance in Egypt's favor...
A great collection of the famous Robert Ludlum adventure series and bought at a very good price. Highly recommended reading or listening pleasure. If you have not followed the late Ludlum’s unabridged novels, now is time to start with this wonderful writer, among the very best in keeping your interest from start to finish.

I spent almost £20 on this triple collection of tripe. I was a fan of Ken Follett's stuff for years but apart from Eye of A Needle I had not read/heard the other two books. The first story I gave up on after 10 minutes due to the very poor narration . He did no characterization, rattled through the text like he was reading the telephone book.
Eye of a Needle was marginally better in that I was familiar with the story , the narration was quite good [ why an american narrator ???] the inserted 'drama' sequences were appalling to the point I laughed out loud several times at the dreadful attempts at various british and german accents by obviously 5th rate american actors
I haven't bothered to listen to book three ..If it's anything at all like the first two I will throw it in the bin ..as it is I will hand it into the village charity shop... I'm very sorry to say but it's my duty to warn others .. Do not waste your money on tripe like this .

This is recorded like a radio play with different actors playing different roles. The sound quality when cutting between voices does not match in volume or general quality and the voice acting itself is at about the quality of a high school play. If you like that sort of thing, you will enjoy it, but if you wanted a real audiobook with a quality narrator, you will be as disappointed as I am in it.

I love love to read and I listen to books while I am driving. This mp3 has 3 books, although I have read one of the books on the CD, it was worth ordering it for the other 2. Looking forward to hearing the other 2 books.

This is a good buy. ThreeKen Follett novels for the price of one. Lie Down with Lions is an interesting spy/Agent story with a romantic twist. It is not as good as some Follett, but is well worth reading/listening to. Eye of the Needle is a gret story and among the best of Ken Follet's work. It is a great spy/secret agent story set in World War Two. Triple is a good story. I did not like it as much as Triple, but found it as entertaining as Lie Down with Lions. I plan to read all Ken Follett's novels.
This is a very good production from Brilliance Audio. I suggest subscribing to their newsletter if you are an avid audiobook listener. They offer good titles at a decent price. (Some titles are $10usd or less.)

This collection is a magnificent feat of audio oration and expertly crafted sound for some of Ken Follett's books, all of which were made into movies "back in the day." And no wonder: they are suspenseful, masterfully produced, and intriguing. If you've NOT been exposed to his earlier novels, and if you listen to audio books at home or on the road, I urge you to acquire this suite. Good listening, and timeless transportation to you!

Highly recommend these books... it's what I would expect from the early days of radio before TV. There are different people reading each character, men, women, accents, etc. What an absolute pleasure to listen to while driving.
