Mark Zuckerberg: A Biography of the Facebook Billionaire
The book is not really a biography . It is very short and most of the information can be found in blogs of Mark's fans.
If you can get the book for free go ahead it is well writing and short, but don't pay for it because is not biography .

To Pixar and Beyond: My Unlikely Journey with Steve Jobs to Make Entertainment History
An awesome business book written by the brilliant Lawrence Levy, who served as CFO of Pixar, giving an inside peek into the transformative journey of Pixar from a confused state and an uncertain future with $50 million in negative; into an outstanding storytelling creative studio making multi-billion dollars via sales of movie tickets, merchandising, DVD sales etc.

Steve Jobs spotted Lawrence in a magazine and kept him in records. A few years later he calls Lawrence and invites him to visit Pixar and consider joining Pixar to help hone the strategy, run the business and make it public. And that's where the story begins and progresses on how Steve Jobs, Ed Catmull, John Lasseter, Lawrence Levy and team and associates of Pixar made the necessary strategic and creative choices in the background of several challenges and survival pressures.

This is a must read for those who have loved the work of Pixar, the various movies and characters they built, the toys, fish, monsters, cars superheroes. And for those who have not watched Pixar movies, they will love the book too as the author takes us through a vivid journey of his various interactions with Steve Jobs and team that led to one of Hollywood's greatest success story.

Louis Armstrong Fleischmanns Yeast Show & Louis Home Recorded Tapes
Louis Armstrong Fleischmanns Yeast Show & Louis Home Recorded Tapes
Folks, hardcore Satch fans have known for years that the great Daniel Louis Armstrong was the first Black host of his own sponsored radio show back in 1937, but only one recording of that has surfaced-until now!

This CD is an absolute joy to listen to! It has all of the earmarks that made the beloved Satchmo so wonderful. Unlike much of the stiff recitations so common of singers and radio hosts of the era, improvisation is the key here. Satch banters with the audience and clowns and jokes while putting his own spins on songs not usually associated with him such as "The Love Bug" (familiar to this generation through Alfalfa in the Our Gang Follies of 1938) as well as more familiar tunes such as "You Rascal You". It is clear that the man loves what he is doing and the band is first rate to boot (especially the drummer).

There is a particularly nice teaming of Satch with the Mills Brothers doing "Darling Nellie Grey." Our man is abit more subdued than usual and if you listen closely to the lyrics, you'll see why. This is a thinly disguised song about a slave who loses his lover to a slave sale

Disc 2 consists of our man at home telling stories, playing along ot old records, and in the best two sequences, telling a story to his little neice and closing on his philosophy of life. You are less likely to listen to this stuff more than a couple of times, but it's nice to hear.

Now why do I give this 4 stars and not 5? It's because whoever edited this thing is in need of a triple dose of Swiss Kriss (Satch fans will dig). These are cut versions from different episodes (which were originally variety shows with other performers-some mentioned in the introduction but do not appear on disc). Instead of the disc of Satch's home recordings (which is admittedly nice in its own way), there's no reason that this cannot be released as a series of the shows in their complete, original form. From what the liner notes describe of what's missing, it really sounds fascinating. The Mills brothers teaming mentioned above is the only guest act segment used here, while many other sremain on the original broadcasts. I HATE when record companies do this stuff! I hope the editor reads this and wises up for future releases!

That aside, it will truly bring joy to your spirit (though some minor surface noise will annoy the audiophiles). Satch lives again live and in his prime! A history lesson with a beat! This makes me want to get some recordings of Satch's other radio shows (such as the "Jubilee" show that he occasionally hosted in the 40s available elsewhere on the web). Listen and enjoy.
Sams Teach Yourself Java in 21 Days Eighth Edition
Sams Teach Yourself Java in 21 Days Eighth Edition
I thought that after five editions and some really nice comments I was in for a pretty good book. No way. In addition to the problems mentioned by PMD1973 there's a lot of code in examples that are not explained and the language is often unclear and apparently contradictory.

"A variable or method declared without an access control modifier is available to any other class in the same package. The Java Class Library is organized into packages such as javax.swing, which is windowing classes for use primarily in graphical user interface programming, and java.util, a useful group of utility classes.

Any variable declared without a modifier can be read or changed by any other class in the same package. Any method declared the same way can be called by any other class in the same package. No other classes can access these elements in any way."

Perhaps using a Kindle instead of an emulator would solve technical problems then one would only have to deal with the language problems that might be solved with significant editing.
London Homesick Blues
London Homesick Blues
This song is great and I have only heard it performed this last year. The title is misleading because it is about missing Texas, Arizona so he is not homesick for London. A person has to listen to these lyrics.
Captain America: Civil War [Blu-ray 3D] [2016]
Captain America: Civil War [Blu-ray 3D] [2016]
The original Civil War Marvel comic series was one of the most famous milestones in that comic lines history. It pitted virtually the whole pantheon of Marvel characters against one another...and some didn't make it.
This film is supposed to be the equivalent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe...it nearly is. The main difference being, not all of the characters are in the MCU. So with those limitations, it is a pretty fundamental milestone in the MCU timeline and sets up the upcoming Infinity War films well.
Without providing too many spoilers, essentially we have our favourite heroes (with a couple of exceptions, as they are otherwise occupied) having to chose what side to be on, when a superhero 'Control Act' is passed. Friends become enemies, with the flames stirred up by a bad guy in the background.
New characters appear (the excellent Black Panther and finally, Spiderman thanks to the Sony agreement with Disney) and are portrayed well by the respective actors.
Is this the best Avengers movie? Ironically it is actually a Captain America movie by name but is really an Avengers movie. But still the answer is no, but it is close.
All in all, this is up there with the best of the MCU films so far released. It is not a fun movie like the Guardian movies and Thor:Ragnorok but it is a important part of the overall story and a great action movie with the usual excellent characterisations from the cast.

Black Panther by Christopher Priest: The Complete Collection Volume 1
Black Panther by Christopher Priest: The Complete Collection Volume 1
This is my first time actually sitting down and reading some of Christopher Priest's Black Panther run, so it's a little early for me to say for sure, but i'm fairly confident that this will go down as one of my favorite comic book runs in history. What you get from the series here is just that good. I've been aware of the Black Panther during most of my time reading comics and have even done an extensive amount of research into him in order to understand his character and more recent appearances he has made. I'm familiar with Priest and the impact he had on the character, but never found the time to pick up any of the older volumes featuring his Black Panther work. So this new volume, and the ones that come after it, seemed like the perfect chance for me to fill a gap in my comic collection. I think it's safe to say that Priest is the man that put Black Panther on the map and that were it not for this run the character probably wouldn't be getting a film next year. The fact that he is getting a film next year is then probably why Marvel chose to start reprinting Priest's work, so that new and old fans could have a treat to munch on before the main course.

T'Challa has always been a king, always been a hero, always been honorable and resourceful, but Priest took all of that and presented it on another level. What you get in this volume are the first 17 issues of his run and they are perfectly written to show that T'Challa is one of the big dogs of the Marvel Universe. This is probably the perfect series to read if you're looking to get familar with the character, since so much of his past is covered here. You get information concerning the death of his father, Wakandan traditions and rituals are constantly mentioned, his foster brother, White Wolf, and their tumultous history takes place, alongside one of the main stories, Panther's history with Captain America is mentioned and shown to some extent. You just really get a good deal of information that is balanced out by a healthy amount of action and Marvel Universe politics. It isn't said outright, but it's clear that T'Challa is the equal to other leaders in the Marvel Universe, such as Namor, Magneto, or Dr. Doom. Similar to his recent appearance in Captain America: Civil War, everything T'Challa does is tailored to show you just how awesome he is, from tearing out Mephisto's heart to facing down the Incredible Hulk. A series like this would probably receive a good deal of criticism today for portraying T'Challa as being too perfect, but back when it was originally being written this is exactly what was needed to make people understand that he is a man who has just as many resources as Reed Richards and who is just as intelligent as Tony Stark. There is also a good chance that this is the moment where many fans of DC came to recognize that Black Panther could be looked at as a Batman expy, since he handles so many situations with the same level of calm determination and preparedness that DC's Dark Knight does. For all their similarities however, Priest is very careful to show how the two men are different in terms of their supporting casts, enemies, histories, and demeanors.

Perhaps the most enjoyable thing about this series is the way that everything is connected. The story being told in issue 17 is partially due to the story that was taking place in issue 1. The book starts off with the death of a little girl who had been involved with a Wakandian charity group. While Black Panther heads to America in order to investigate how this horrible turn of events came about, tensions back in his nation reach a boiling point and a bloody civil war begins, which is quickly followed by a coup. Armed with only the weapons and gadgets that he thought to bring with him, his deceased father's trusted friend Zuri, and his favored bodyguards/assassin the Dora Milhje, T'Challa is forced to quickly make his way through the criminal underworld, while also being forced to foray into the battlefield of politics with the United States goverment. U.S. officials place T'Challa in the hands of their agent Everett K. Ross, who is assigned to act as an escort to the visiting monarch, in order to ensure that he stays out of trouble. When Ross took on the assignment he was confident, figuring that he perfectly understood his client and superheroes in general, and that this would be an easy assignment for him. He is quickly proven wrong, as before the end of the 3rd issue he finds his soul belonging to Mephisto and T'Challa nowhere to be found.

This brief summary is just a small taste of the amazing adventure that awaits you within the pages of this book. The story is written in a way that i've never really seen before. Though all of the events in the story are shown to us they are not always shown in chronological order and this has to do with the fact that they are actually being told to us by Agent Ross. For the most part, Ross ends up tagging along with Panther for almost all of his adventures and the ones he doesn't tag along for he ends up being told about later, after which he relays them to his superior officer and the readers. This adds an interesting element to the story, because one of Ross' character tics is that he can't quite manage to tell the story in chronological order, leading to him jumping around all over the place, and endlessly frustrating his superior. Most importantly of all, this makes him a comedic figure. In many ways he is the reader, an average person, with average intellect and skills, that has been thrown into this fantastic situation. He therefore reacts with disbelief at many of the things that are happening around him. He really manages to shine as a supporting character and makes T'Challa shine as a titular character, because they are so different. In show terms, Ross would be the comedic relief and Black Panther would be the straight man. This is taken to new heights with just how serious T'Challa remains throughout the story, making Ross' reactions seem that much more exaggerated, but you realize that they're really not when you step back and think about just how crazy the events of the story would be for an average person.

The non-chronological storytelling might be confusing for some at first, but I think that it is easy to get used to, since you'll start to see when one arc ends and when another is beginning. The previous arcs are also constantly being referenced. My only complaint is the artwork. This series features work by multiple artists, so while everyone is still recognizeable they do noticeably change, as does the world around them, in terms of just how they are drawn. This is simply annoying for me, since I enjoy consistency in my artwork. Can't blame the writer for that however, so i'd still give this work 5 starts. I highly recommend this volume to anyone looking to learn more about Black Panther or to anyone who is just looking for a new comic series to sink their teeth into.
Kamado Joe KJ-PS23 Ceramic Pizza Stone, 15" Diameter, White
Kamado Joe KJ-PS23 Ceramic Pizza Stone, 15" Diameter, White
This stone fits and works perfectly in the Joe Jr. It makes beautiful pizzas with nice crisp crust in about 10 minutes. There first couple of times I used it at a high temperature (525) and the crust was a little too charred in the bottom. I adjusted the temperature to 450 and cook for about 9 minutes and it produces a perfect crispy pizza. I use parchment paper to make things easier to clean and remove without having to use corn meal.
Dreamfields Healthy Pasta Living Elbows, 13.25-Ounce Boxes (Single Pack)
Dreamfields Healthy Pasta Living Elbows, 13.25-Ounce Boxes (Single Pack)
Cardboard or wood. Finding healthy fast carb pasta comes with a big price tag. I don't know why, but like all "health foods" it always costs more, a lot more.
Texture and flavor were no different than standard name brand pasta. That's a big win.
The big downside is that pasta is sold across the U.S. In 1 pound dry boxes from spaghetti to spirals, all 1 pound. I mean regardless of the shape, it's the same thing.
This is only 13.25 oz instead of 16, thats almost 1\4 of a standard box.....

This particular item has a much better price than the other Dreamfields offered on Amazon. Some of the boxes were almost $5 a 13.25 oz box. I get name brand pasta on sale for $.99 a 16 oz box any day at any grocery store.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
This is yet another great film within the entire "Harry Potter" film franchise. The sixth in the series, "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince" boasts, as with all of the other films, non-stop action, special effects, drama and last but certainly not least, magic! It picks up immediately in the Department of Mysteries, within the Ministry of Magic, with all cameras blazing, but Harry is not exactly pleased by this response from the press, given that none of them would believe him after he claimed that he witnessed Voldemort's rebirth in the first place. Albus Dumbledore, however, has other suspicions about Voldemort, and Harry must see fit to follow Dumbledore's lead than he would usually do; whatever you may say about Harry, he does get himself into loads of trouble! The level of creepiness and suspense, balanced by good humour and the trials of romance throughout the entire movie is perfect, and for the first time the whole aspect of becoming a Death Eater is explored extremely well with it showing just how hard and horrible a job it is to be such a hard hearted villain for the latest antagonist in the story, and to do the nasty deeds it entails while under immense pressure. One niggle that I have is with the new addition of Mrs. Malfoy, played by Helen Mcrory; for me she is just too easily outshone in her debut role as a "Harry Potter" character when standing next to the likes of Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange, so it's a treat to see Mcrory wield a wand and show more fear of and resistance to Voldemort in "The Deathly Hallows" since Mrs Malfoy is as much a favourite character of mine as her sister Bellatrix. Otherwise, I do think that "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince" is still a very engaging film. Along with a marvellous Special Features disc that aside from its usual material also includes a moving and insightful documentary entitled "A Year In The Life Of J.K. Rowling", this is pure wizarding entertainment everywhere!
King Will Magic 7mm Tungsten Carbide Wedding Band Sapphire Blue Lord of Ring Comfort Fit Highly Polished
King Will Magic 7mm Tungsten Carbide Wedding Band Sapphire Blue Lord of Ring Comfort Fit Highly Polished
I first bought this ring for my youngest son. He had some cheap “gum machine” ring that he loved, but lost. He was upset because that ring was symbolic to his young “love” and hope for a “stable future”. So his mother and I found this ring to replace the lost one, and he loved it! However, one day he was walking to the car from the pool and he tripped and the first ring shattered, which his hope did as well... again.
I contacted the seller about this issue, and although they couldn’t issue a refund, they did provide me with a promo code to purchase a new one, for which I was grateful!
If I took anything away from this ordeal it would be that “love and hope” ,for some, can be quite fragile.
Besides the one issue, the ring is quality, especially for the price. King Will’s customer service is superb as well... awesome buying experience!

Just Beyond: The Scare School
The story and art are fine, but he quality of the books is utter garbage. I bought three copies at a school book fair for gifts, and the covers came off of all three, and the pages seemed like they would fall out after the first reading. Save yourself the headache and just get a digital copy.
The Neighbor (Short Story) (Kindle Single)
The Neighbor (Short Story) (Kindle Single)
If you’ve ever wondered how good a short story can be, Dean Koontz reminds us in The Neighbor. While it is touted as a prequel of sorts to his novel The City, you need not have read it — I haven’t — to enjoy this mesmerizing and tender short story. Koontz immediately sucks us into the world of gangly 12 year old Malcolm and his beautiful 17 year old sister, Amalia, whom he adores. Their parents are terrible and Malcolm describes their house as being like Poe’s House of Usher just before it sank into the swamp. Music is an escape for them, Malcolm finding the one thing he is graceful at in the Saxophone, while his very talented sister plays the clarinet and wants to be a writer. They also share a love for Big Band music of the 1930s and 1940s, which they play on vinyl records in the garage to avoid parents who hardly speak to one another. If this already seems like a lot to include in a short story, it is little touches like these which separate Koontz from the pack.

At the center of the story is the house next door, once belonging to recently deceased teacher Rupert Clockenwell. Someone is turning on lights at night in the old house, and Malcolm and his sister Amalia decide to pay the new neighbors a visit. Except there are no new neighbors, only sad revelations, and great danger. To reveal more would ruin this touching and enthralling short story I truly loved. In addition to being an amazing read, it reminded me why I so often prefer Koontz to King. Though the novels of both have become bloated as of late, they both excel — when they want to — at the short form. But Koontz’s attitude in regard to the human spirit, and the spiritual in general, sets him apart. Everything I love about Koontz — when he’s at the top of his game — is on display here in this tender and unforgettable short story. Highly recommended.
The Sixth Shotgun
The Sixth Shotgun
“It is this by which we measure a man, by what he does with his life, by what he creates to leave behind,” – Louis L’Amour. These words describe perhaps better than any the essence of noted western author, Louis L’Amour, the man who set the standard for the western genre.
The Sixth Shotgun by Louis L’Amour, edited by Jon Tuska, contains two of L’Amour’s most famous works, the short work from which the book gets its title, ‘The Sixth Shotgun,’ a tale about a stagecoach robbery and frontier justice, that details in pithy passages the course of justice in many frontier towns of the Old West. The longer work, ‘The Riders of the Ruby Hills,’ is one of L’Amour’s typical range war novels, with lone hero, Ross Haney, facing off against gangs of killers and ne’er-do-wells, while contending for the hand of the fair maiden.
For fans of westerns, Tuska’s editorial notes, giving L’Amour’s biography and discussing his writing style, are fascinating. The fact, for instance, that L’Amour’s novels were often written in first draft with no editing before publication, leading to inconsistencies and errors, was something I was not aware of. Especially considering that the short stories he wrote for pulp magazines were strenuously edited. That said, L’Amour’s stories still stand the test of time. They are full of action, vivid descriptions, as well as his trademark hard-nosed philosophy.
This one is a must-read for western fans.
Ranch Dressing
Ranch Dressing
This book contains two novels: The Traveling Kind & Dakota Dreamer

The Traveling Kind:

Charely Collins needs a hired hand to help around her Idaho ranch since her brother was in an accident and broke his leg. Sexy and handsome drifter Shad Russell is just the man to get the job done. Shad's experienced on the ranch and with the ladies. Soon their both fighting temptation knowing that after the season, Shad's going back on the road, back to the life as a drifter. Charley is crushed when Shad leaves and decides -hell with him- to start dating her besotted neighbor Chuck. Engagement comes soon, after all, Chuck is everthing a girl wants, right? Will Shad ever come to his senses?

Dakota Dreamer:

Edie Gibbs just received the shock of her life. Still mourning her boring/staid husbands death, she expects to find herself in even deeper dept after the funeral. She's in for a surprise when its discovered that Edie is now a wealthy woman. Apparently, her dearly-departed has been keeping her in the dark. Now with all this money she and her stepson and daughter decide to buy a Dakota ranch -their long forgotten dream. Eight months later, everthing is set and they move into a delapitated ranch in hopes of bringing it back to its former glory. Only one problem, Will Maddock owner of the neighboring Diamond D ranch has other ideas. He wants the ranch and will do anything to get it. As far as he's concerned, greenies don't belong here. Its the war of the wills, Edie vs. Maddock, but something strange happens along the way -they fall in love.

I enjoyed both of these, pretty good light reads. The writng is not bad, flows well, but they lack love scenes which could have helped. There's no roller coaster of emotions or heavy ~sigh~ here. I would recommend that you get this one from the library. Not a shelf keeper. If you want some steamy contemporary romances, try the *bad boys* anthologies.

Pippi on the Run
Pippi on the Run
This book is a delightful way to recapture the fun of the original movie. It's packed with large, beautiful color photos of those wonderful children from the circa 1970 Swedish/German films: Maria Persson as Annika, Per Sundberg as Tommy, and the irrepressible Inger Nilsson as Pippi ... the funniest and most natural kids to hit the screen since "Our Gang."

However, some of their adventures include climbing over a cliff, swallowing a fish's skeleton, sailing through the air in a car, hitching a ride on top of a train, bull fighting and (what in the not-so-innocent real world would be very ill-advised indeed) making friends with a perfect stranger ... so better remind the kids: Don't try this at home!
Taiko: An Epic Novel of War and Glory in Feudal Japan
Taiko: An Epic Novel of War and Glory in Feudal Japan
This is one of the most interesting, "informative" (in the general way of historical novels are - in the larger details) that I have ever read. Yoshikawa Eiji (Eiji Yoshikawa in the Western order) is one of the top tier of Japanese "Jidaigeki" (Historical / Samurai) writers of the 20th century. This is a very good translation of the Japanese "Taiko-ki" (The Chronicles of the Taiko) by William Scott Wilson. It is only a portion of the original. Many famous scenes are missing. Since the original novel was published in 8 volumes, you would probably require three volumes in English of the size of this book to tell the story of Hedeyoshi's rise to power from a peasant to Nobunaga's amusing servant, "Monkey (Saru)," who runs alongside his master on horseback, willing to do whatever it takes to please him. He rises from being a kind of pet, stage by stage, to be one of Nobunaga's most trusted generals. He always does whatever it takes to please his master, things that others cannot accomplish, and to take any risk. He finds a way to accomplish his task. Nobunaga finds in Hideyoshi an absolutely loyal, selfless servant, and masterful general. And when Nobunaga is assassinated, Hideyoshi immediately moves to take power and execute the traitor Mitsuhide. He takes power for himself, subdues the nation, and become the Taiko, the most powerful man in Japan, the shadow leader behind the figurehead Emperor and the figurehead Shogun. This novel covers Hideyoshi's rise to power, to the point where the crafty Tokugawa Ieyasu bows to the the realities and decides to bide his time and pledges loyalty to Hideyoshi. Hideyoshi's story has three parts. This story, the story of Hideyoshi as a leader and increasingly as tyrant, and his insane attempts to conquer China by going through Korea---two massive failures, but undoubtedly a factor in the Japanese moves into China in the 20th century. The third story is his last years, and pathetic attempt to get his generals to promise to support his child son. It is at this point that Tokugawa Ieyasu defeats the southern supporters of Hideyoshi at Sekigahara, and becomes the true Shougun. This book does not tell the later two stories.

Five stars. I couldn't put it down.

Sought some festive Mr Men books, bought this amongst others. Although these are new additions to the orignial set they don't differ too much in style and content. Would happily read a Mr Man book every night to my son! In fact I normally do!

Harry Potter Boys' Pajamas
Harry Potter Boys' Pajamas
I knew that these would run small from the reviews so I ordered the size 8 for my 9 year old. He is very small and fit for his age and normally wears an 7/8 The pajamas fit him nicely and he loves Harry Potter. The problem is that these were a Christmas present to him and the quality of the sewing is not good. They were opened and he immediately put them on falling apart at the seams in the crotch area.

Harry Potter House Crest Phone Ring Phone Accessories
I was incredibly happy with this product... for a month or two. But then the adhesive holder gave out and the ring would fall off constantly. I would try and reattach it and it would just keep falling off. Durability sucks, but the product is super cute and worked really well. If they used a different adhesive hold this could have been an amazing product.
Encounters with Authors
Encounters with Authors
I was extremely impressed with this book. First off, to have had the opportunities and experiences White did to meet and speak with so many authors of acclaim is astounding. It's the sort of wealth of experiences you hope will be shared.
There were authors and writers whom I knew by name but many which I didn't. Sometimes, the chapters on the authors I didn't know didn't leave me bursting to read their work. Many times, though, those chapters did intrigue me.
What I liked most was whenever they talked, in particular, about how they approached writing. It fascinates me to see how people go about the everyday tasks of producing great works. How many pages or words a day did they shoot for? What works were they proud of? What motivated them to write? It was illuminating to read how so many authors, like Eugenia Price wrote with their readers in mind. They would purposefully shape their characters based on what their established reader-base would accept and enjoy. I think there was only one writer mentioned who said you need to not listen to the critics at all because everyone will think they can critique writing because everyone knows the language. (I align more with that latter sentiment than with changing your writing just to sell more copies, like the one writer who said he wished to write more biblical works because he enjoyed them more.)
The chapter on Agatha Christie was very interesting, even though it was one of only a couple chapters in which he did not directly speak with the writer. Still, it was captivating to get any sort of insight into what she thought about her own work.
The chapter I think I enjoyed the most was with Hoffman explaining his beliefs on how Marlowe actually wrote all of the Shakespearean canon. That was really fascinating. I found myself wishing that I was reading a book wholly devoted to that topic and seriously thinking about searching for one. I think that it's the mark of a good, nonfiction work to leave you anxious to delve deeper into the subject matter and learn more. What is the good in nonfiction writing if it leaves you uninspired? This book certain left me curious of authors I had never considered before.
The only thing I did not like was the editor's note at the end of each chapter. Here, you have the literary work and creative process of various writers as aptly summarized as possible in usually ten pages or less but it's punctuated by the manner of their death. It left a black mark that marred their successes, I thought.
Otherwise, I thought this was a very intriguing read.
Grey Digital Musical Mobile with Elephants, Clouds and Stars by The Peanut Shell
Grey Digital Musical Mobile with Elephants, Clouds and Stars by The Peanut Shell
I absolutely love the simplicity of this product, and it does the job..sort of..the music is continuous and its basically a mash up of nurseries. It does not have a timer so you have to manually shut it off. For our particular crib it curves and the top is a little thicker than the walls, this causes it to lean a little. It does get nice and tight i triple checked it wont move but its just a little damper in the purchase. The elephants hang a little low when assembled so i had to untie the ribbons and make them higher. The tags were so bigg i cut them off. Other than that its adorable.

The product broke within minutes of my son playing with it on christmas. The return window has closed so now we cant get a replacement or our money back. A week later the blue ranger we bought broke as well in the same place..the legs...I have seen many complaints on amazon about these particular items but thought it was not real...I know now these figures are made poorly and not worth the money. Unfortunately my son loves these...I am very disappointed.

Microsoft XBOX 360 Kinect Sensor(Renewed)
I understood from the reviews that it was a gamble buying this, but for the price I figured it was worth it and it was. I got a Kinect in very good shape, hardly any wear on it at all and it works just fine. It didn't come with the AC-powered USB adaptor I would need to hook it up to my big old 360, but it didn't claim it would and that was easy enough to order and not too expensive. I gambled and won. It works great and all old was under $40.

Sheep Shears Pro 110V 500W Professional Heavy Duty Electric Shearing Clippers with 6 Speed, for Shaving Fur Wool in Sheep, Goats, Cattle, and Other Farm Livestock Pet, with Grooming Carrying Case CE
I know the instructions say to change to different blades if using this clipper on anything other than sheep. However, this clipper and the blades it came with are PERFECT for getting through the matted, thick, wool-like fur of my horse who exhibits all the symptoms of a pituitary gland tumor. He is SO much more comfortable now. I couldn't clip him all in one session, but then, I had broken wrist and was using the clipper one handed.

Love the power cord is plenty long -- I don't need to use an extension. I can even plug it in outside of his stall and clip him right in the stall on the mat if I want to. I got him about half done before I had to take the thing apart t clean out all the hair and oil and grunge clogging things up inside -- not hard to do and not too many pieces to keep track of.

POOR APP NOT WORTH IT! DOES NOTHING!

It doesn’t do what it says it does. Every time I logged onto the app it showed that there was zero apps opened even when I purposely left several open. I used another app to check my opened apps and sure enough it found not only the ones I left opened but several others. Once I closed them you were able to see a vast difference in the memory usage where this app failed to read. This also doesn’t not clear all the cache from the apps that are installed.
I have no idea why this is even being sold cause it’s definitely not worth the dollar or two I paid for it!!!

Bosch TES50651DE Kaffee-Vollautomat VeroCafe LattePro (1.7 l, 15 bar, externes Milchsystem) hell-anthrazit

Ordered this machine in June- The first one arrived and something was wrong with the grinder - only made extremely watery espresso and could not be adjusted. It was sent back and we received a replacement shortly after. This unit works GREAT! Makes really tasty coffee. Now that we've been using it for six weeks, here are my thoughts:

LIKES:

Easy to use. Lovely touch panel and display. Pretty red color! Works quietly, even grinding is quiet. Coffee quality and crema are good. Steams milk well via supplied silicon tube. The bean hopper is one of the largest I've seen in a home unit, and designed well so all the beans make it into the grinder. I love the cup heater on top.

DISLIKES:

Build quality is good but not great. The handling of used grounds is messy because there is a lot of spillage in collection area. The little plastic receiver catches most, but not ALL of the grounds, requiring additional cleaning inside the machine with towels. Not a deal-breaker, but inconvenient. Similarly, there is some spillage that occurs between the grinder and the brewing unit. Consequently there are grounds to clean up inside the machine where there shouldn't be.

The water tank is almost criminally small. Especially since the machine uses quite a bit of water for cleaning itself when it turns on and off. Making just 3 espressos a day, I find I have to refill the tank every 3rd day. Again, not a deal breaker, but considering you have to pull the unit out and open a side door to access the tank, a BIT inconvenient!

Despite the great customization options in the menu, there doesn't seem to be much difference in making a Latte vs a Cappuccino - not clear how to change the ration of milk to coffee. And there is no option to do a double shot - although you can just hit the espresso button after your latte is all made.

Despite these minor gripes, we are loving the machine so far!

TP-Link AC4000 Smart WiFi Router - Tri Band Router , MU-MIMO, VPN Server, Antivirus/Parental Control, 1.8GHz CPU, Gigabit, Beamforming, Link Aggregation, Rangeboost, Works with Alexa(Archer A20),Black
This Archer AC4000, Archer A20, V 1.0 router was easy to set-up. I was set-up in about 20 minutes from un-boxing to having tested my speeds. I set-up and tested speeds on 3 other devices in about 15 minutes more. It's large at about 8 inches square and about 4 inches from table to top of antennas. They recommend mounting on a wall for best coverage.

It worked great for a week. There was an electrical storm, then I experienced problems. The first problem seems to be 1) the router port 1 going to my laptop 2) the hardwired connection shows as my 2.4 G wireless name.

The router is connected to a UPS system which then connects to a high quality surge protector. My cable modem, NAS and external drive is also connected to the UPS system. My laptop is connected to the surge protector. The cable coax does not go through a surge protector. It is possible a lightening strike could be the issue through the coax cable, but I would expect other issues with the modem and the other network port from the router to my NAS.

I spent 40 minutes with tech support and had difficulty due to 1) language barrier 2) the agent was in a rush to end the call. My 2.4 G connection gets about 94 mbs and the two 5 G and direct network connections get about 480 mbs. My provider plan is up to 400 Mbps down and 20 up. I usually get 480 down on LAN and 20-24 up. The agent was trying to leave me with the 94 mbs speed via Ethernet although I told him my other laptop was getting the 480 mbs speed via wi-fi.

On a positive note, they have two options for replacement, get the new unit first, then return the old or vice-versa. I received a new, not refurbished unit. Since I've only had this for a week, I could exchange it with the vendor but I want to deal with TP-Link in case issues continue past the vendor return time. At least using another network port for my laptop works and wi-fi is working. I have to wait a day for a call back from the returns dept then 3-5 business days to receive the new unit.

Update: I did not receive a call back from the returns department and didn't see I had 2 junk e-mails asking me to send proof-of-purchase. I caught this several days later while the router started to lose connection several times daily. The phone rep was only partially right. He had said I would get a return shipping label so I would not have to pay however he didn't tell me I was expected to pay for shipping of the new unit to me. After several e-mails with the RMA department saying I refused to pay shipping for a router which lasted less than one week, they finally found a way to charge me then give immediate credit.

I received version two. Several reviews said Amazon vendors were shipping version one, which had problems, and to make sure you receive version two. When I saw I had received version one, I called TP-Link who said they only produced version one. So I didn't return it to vendor thinking it was another case of Amazon mixing reviews of different products.

The version 2 replacement router was more difficult to set-up as only the 2.4 wi-fi would show available. I tried calling customer support but they have limited hours. After more research I got all but one device to see and connect to 5 G. I verified all my speeds again and none get the 480 Mbps download I used to get. My phone gets the best download versus my laptops, which hasn't usually been the case. While setting up the new router, I could no longer use the Chrome browser to get into the router web pages. The tech said I had to use another browser which means I'll have to install my password app in another browser or always go over to Chrome to get it. After more research I still couldn't find any place to change my admin password after I initially set it up. The tech said her instructions were the same and she too didn't see the option so there must've been an upgrade and the instructions not updated yet. I was to end the chat and wait on an e-mail once she found the answer. No e-mail still after 5 days. Every facet of dealing with TP-Link has be frustratingly painful and slow. I wish I would have just returned the router to the Amazon vendor and bought a different brand. I hope this review helps someone else!

They still haven't received the unit back yet and if it's not received in 25 calendar days from when the RMA is created (not shipped or received by you) you are charged for a full unit! I can just imagine getting charged given our interactions so far!
