Japanese: The Spoken Language, Part 3 - Supplement: Japanese Typescript
Japanese: The Spoken Language, Part 3 - Supplement: Japanese Typescript
Jorden comes from a unique background as she was tought at Yale by one of America's most distinguished linguists who himself discovered some aspects of the Japanese language that even the Japanese didn't know and are only now acknowledging.
I am not much of a linguist myself but I can tell you that I and everyone in my class learned from this book what no other series can give you: a thorough understanging of the Japanese language.
I have been studying for many years now and have not found a better source yet. Just read each lesson, use the video or cassete tapes to drill on understanding and rapid reponse. The very inexpensive teachers suppliment contains all the drills and conversations in native japanese (for the guy that didn't know this)
Also, the written language is a seperate book but you don't have to use it. Of course from day one in class we began learning the kana as well and then the kanji but to learn the kanji from lesson 1? That would be too difficult because the book is in order of most usefull words, not most easy to write words. The offical system is more like kana and eaiser to see how the conjugations work where as the Hepburn system has too many unnecessary rules you have to learn to make it work. In Jorden's book, you quickly get used to the offical system and I wouldn't have it any other way. It also has helpful pitch markings to remind you how to nautrally shape the sentences until it becomes rote.
I cannot say enough good things about this series, it doesn't take you all the way to being fluent of course but by the time you get though the 3rd book, I gaurantee you will be able to understand what people are saying to you and be able to respond right away in real world situations.
Bottom line, these books work and is part of a whole system of videos, audio tapes, drills, writing, reading, and listening practice that will make you an expert on Japanese that puts all other books to shame.
The Law of Success: In Sixteen Lessons
The Law of Success: In Sixteen Lessons
In defense of a particular audio rendition of this work, I'll make a few points about what we commonly refer to as The Law of Success by Napoleon Hill.

Since few reviews list them, the 17 principles of success according to Dr. Hill are as follows:

1) The Master Mind - Learn the psychology behind success and how you can use it to enhance your personal power.

2) A Definite Chief Aim - Save wasted effort, and focus your heart and mind on a well-conceived, practical purpose.

3) Self-Confidence - Overcome the six basic fears and empower yourself without falling into the trap of egotism.

4) The Habit of Saving - Master this basic concept and learn to harness your greatest source of personal power.

5) Initiative and Leadership - Develop your instincts to anticipate problems and know when to seize opportunities.

6) Imagination - Stimulate your mind to create new concepts out of common ideas and put them to work for you.

7) Enthusiasm - Overcome uncertainty or shyness, and inspire others to take an interest in you and your ideas.

8) Self-Control - Find the firmness of character to truly be "master of your fate and the captain of your soul."

9) The Habit of Doing More Than Paid For - Take advantage of the Law of Increasing Returns to earn more for service rendered.

10) Pleasing Personality - Transform yourself so that you can master your relationships and control any situation.

11) Accurate Thinking - Separate real facts from mere information so you can devise definite, practical plans.

12) Concentration - Laser-focus your mind on one subject at a time so the plans you create are plans that will work.

13) Cooperation - Eliminate envy and greed, and learn to apply the Law of the Master Mind in all of your relationships.

14) Profiting by Failure - Train yourself to recognize the difference between failure and what is just a temporary defeat.

15) Tolerance - Eliminate mistrust and doubts so you can reap the rewards that come naturally to accurate thinkers.

16) The Golden Rule - Use this most basic law of life to ensure cooperation from any individual or group.

17) The Universal Law of Cosmic Habitforce - Transform your thoughts and habits so they harmonize with success-consciousness.

One reviewer here remarked that you ought to just skip this entire book set and instead get Think and Grow Rich, however a cursory examination of the table of contents for Law of Success and Think and Grow Rich shows that the latter book covers a slightly different set of topics. Law of Success lays the groundwork for a success mentality whereas Think and Grow Rich spreads into the realm of some specific actions which you ought to undertake. To expand out from there in the realm of modern reality, consult works by, say, Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn, Dale Carnegie, etc.

As for the Law of Success course, the original text appears to be out of copyright protection, having been first published in 1928, so now we see a plethora of publishers performing the old "copyright two-step" where an original public domain work is reprinted in its entirety with a few minor editorial touch-ups here or there, some light editing work done, and/or a modern introduction by the editor. Thereafter, the entire work is re-copyrighted. Hence we see a collection of competing versions of the same original text, some of better quality than others. Any hard copy will run between 1,000 -1,600 pages, so check the page count to ensure you get what you are bargaining for.

As a personal fan of both the science of self-improvement and audiobooks, I recommend against both the BN Publishing edition and the Audible download edition.

The Audible edition is an earlier rendition of the text which contains only 15 original main principles, whereas Mr. Hill gradually expanded his Law of Success central thesis from 15 to 17 over the course of his later life. Additionally, I advise against any Audible product because I cannot in good faith suggest your purchase of any sort of digital media download which contains Digital Rights Management (DRM). With DRM downloads, you run into headaches with playback, copying or burning and ultimately you don't really own the media you paid for.

The BN Publishing edition gives the impression of being extremely poorly executed and the final product leaves a bit to be desired. The two-cd set is well-printed, but the text is an earlier version, the quality of the MP3's sound terrible, and the back cover points to the wrong homepage for the publisher(!).

Therefore, with neither package do you get the "real deal."

The best-quality audiobook of The Law of Success is the High Roads Media edition, which you can buy either from the Napoleon Hill Foundation or here at Amazon. It is a 4-volume unabridged set with some minor editing, some more current examples, and editorial clarifications.

The Law of Success, Volume I: Principles of Self-Mastery
ISBN: 1-932429-06-9

The Law of Success: The Principles of Personal Power, Vol. II
ISBN: 1-932429-08-5

The Law of Success, Volume III: the Principles of Self-Creation
ISBN: 1-932429-10-7

The Law of Success, Volume IV, 75th Anniversary Edition: The Principles of Personal Integrity
ISBN: 1-932429-12-3

This set is a bit more expensive than other audiobook approaches but you get the most exposure to the material for the money. Hard copies of this set are also available and are also strongly recommended.

For myself, I am about halfway through the third volume and the going is great. Already my mind and mentality is beginning to shift towards more success-consciousness. I feel better and my "success instincts" are beginning to sharpen. The content is a bit long-winded and archaic, but very solid and very well-thought out, what with 20 years of active research necessary to produce these insights. I heartily recommend it and it should not be passed over. I wish I had come across this 10 years ago.
Beyond the Model T: The Other Ventures of Henry Ford (First Edition)
Beyond the Model T: The Other Ventures of Henry Ford (First Edition)
This review relates to the 1990 1st edition...

Dustjacket blurbage: "Henry Ford was once described as a lazy farm boy who would to go any length to avoid work. The vast and varied enterprises he undertook with earnings from his Model T, however, belie this assessment."

This book explores the many, many endeavours undertaken by Ford -- automotive, philanthropic, in the media, his schemes in social engineering, his education projects, his forays into aviation, mines, lumber, the rubber industry. A fascinating topic. When someone with ambition finds himself with a huge fortune and almost unparalleled power, where does he devote his energies and resources?

This is a well-researched and heavily illustrated book. Bibliographic information appears at the end of each chapter. It covers a lot of ground. At 204 pages, this book doesn't devote a huge amount of energy analyzing Ford's interesting, complicated, and controversial political and social views. But is certainly a novel, well-illustrated, and comprehensive piece of work.

Cloth over hardback boards with dustcover; glossy stock, a sewn binding. About 250 black and white illustrations. Index.
Henry: A Life of Henry Ford II
Henry: A Life of Henry Ford II
Fairly good, but could have been far more detailed. It should have focused more on the cars and the company itself as much as it did on his strange private life. I wanted to know more about the '49 Ford and how the decision was made to move from the Flathead V-8 to the modern OHV engine; the sales "blitz" of swamping dealerships with cars; the Thunderbird and many other things about the cars and the designers, etc. Instead, I got pages about Christina and his art collecting and his Liberal politics. I only bought this because it's the ONLY biography about Ford II I could find.

Before The Flood
Before The Flood
The very first time I listened to this was back when it was first release in 1974. My brother had purchased the cassette tape and I use to borrow it from him. It was my first experience listening to either Dylan or The Band live and was blown away. I thought "How can anyone top this for a live album?" Over the years I had pretty much forgotten about it until I had the opportunity to purchase the double CD last year. With great anticipation I started listening and came away a little underwhelmed. Not that it is a bad set, it isn't. In fact it's quite good. But there are a couple of things that can make this a little disappointing.

1. Regarding The Band's two sets: I also own both Rock of Ages &The Last Waltz. Both are better sets for The Band, with Rock of Ages being the best. On "Before the Flood" some of the songs really sound like the group just weren't on the same page. When you compare both "The Weight" & "The Shape I'm In", two of my favorites, they just do not compare with the versions from Rock of Ages.

2. Dylan also seemed out of place with The Band at first. The first three songs, "Most Likely You Go Your Way (and I'll Go Mine)", "Lay, Lady, Lay", and "Rainy Day Woman" have a below-average sound to them.

But as we hit song #4, "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" the music does start to blend. As we move through CD #1 we're treated to some classic music by both, with a great version of Robbie Robertson's "Stage Fright" to finish off the CD.

CD #2 starts of with Classic acoustic Dylan, as we hear "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right", "Just Like a Woman", and "It's All Right, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)." It's here we get a little bogged down by the second Band set. As mentioned previously, "The Shape I'm In" & "The Weight" are not up to other live versions of the songs. But hold on to your hat, Dylan comes back on and we get the best song of the night, "All Along The Watchtower" and it JUST rocks. If I have only one complaint about it, it's too short. I would have loved an extended guitar solo at the end but we get only about 32 bars. Great, just not enough. It's followed by solid versions of "Highway 61 Revisited" & "Like a Rolling Stone." And as an encore we hear "Blowin In The Wind" and it does not disappoint.

Overall, I am happy with this purchase. I still pull it out and listen to it now and then. I would recommend it to any Dylan & Band fans, at least to round out your collections.

Amazon Brand - Solimo Silver Energy Drink, Sugar Free, 16 Fluid Ounce (Pack of 24)
I tried the Silver flavor as I'm a fan of the White and Blue Monster Ultra energy drinks. First, to start with the energy boost, it is extremely comparable to Monster Ultra. If you're looking for a different flavor of the same type of energy drink, this is a perfect replacement.

For the flavor, it has a comparable taste to the Monster Ultra energy drinks, except a little less sweet. The silver flavor I can best describe as a a melted orange popsicle sweetened with artificial sweeteners. It has a less natural taste than the Monster Ultra drinks and has a lingering aftertaste that is... not great. The artificial sweeteners really pull through at the end which is why I couldn't rate it five stars. It is certainly sweet, but not as sickly sweet as the Ulta flavors. If you like the Monster Ultra flavors, you'll definitely like these, especially if you think that the Ultra flavors are a little on the sweet side.

Overall these are a great, cheaper alternative to the Monster Ultra drinks. If you're looking for another low carb and low cal energy drink and don't mind a little artificial aftertaste then these are a perfect match for you.
Go Power! Heavy Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter (3000-watts)
Go Power! Heavy Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter (3000-watts)
After testing a friends that had this one but a older model I went ahead and bought it to run a 1/3 horse swamp cooler motor which the older did run just fine...The new Model Might say HD but it is just a chinese built peace of junk like the Harbour freight ones...I've found out that the difference for HEAVY duty is that the Inverters are either high frequency or low frequency...most manufacturers have gone the cheap High frequency route but it will not do if you are looking at high inductive loads I can run my swamp cooler with a borrowed old 1000 watt inverter that weights about 12 pounds but cannot with a new go power that weights like 7-9 pounds...explanation below................................................................INVERSION METHODS EXPLAINED
High Frequency Inverters (HF)
The large majority of inverters available in the retail market are high frequency. They are typically less expensive, have smaller footprints, and have a lower tolerance for industrial loads. HF inverters have over twice the number of components and use multiple, smaller transformers. Their application is appropriate for a wide variety of uses like tool battery chargers, small appliances, A/V and computers, but have a decreased capacity for long term exposure to high surge loads like pumps, motors, and some high-torque tools.

Low Frequency Inverters (LF)
Our UL-listed, low frequency inverters and inverter/chargers are the pinnacle of electrical durability. The massive iron core transformer is aptly capable of absorbing surge loads because of the “Flywheel Effect” inherent in the physical amount of a transformer’s iron. LF inverters have larger and more robust Field Effect Transistors (FET’s) that can operate cooler, in part due to the slower frequency of switching required to produce AC power. These inverters are feature rich to include the optional ability to hardwire additional external GFCI outlets, input of multiple DC voltages, provide regulated dual output voltages (120/240VAC), and integrate chemistry appropriate battery chargers and transfer relays for shore power.

HIGH FREQUENCY
Pros

Smaller footprint
Less expensive
Cons

Doesn’t operate well with high-surge loads like pumps and high-torque tools
LOW FREQUENCY
Pros
Runs well with high-surge loads
Operates cooler
Cons

Heavier
More expensive
Walking with God: A Journey Through the Bible
Walking with God: A Journey Through the Bible
I am about 1/3 of the way through this book. I wish I had had it when doing the actual bible study with Jeff Cavins last year. The bible study gives the big picture of salvation history, and this book delves in more detail the who, what, and why. It is important to know the original meaning of the Greek or Hebrew words used in scripture as well as the cultural and historical meaning behind the event, without which many events seem arbitrary. There are many connections I would never think of, many subtleties I would never guess at that are actually important to understanding what God is trying to teach us in these stories and histories. Everything is important--each word, each phrase, the order of stories, the meaning behind the detail. For example, I have always skipped through the laws and details of the Levitical priesthood (boring), but one of the things the details of God's command for the ornate garments (details of stones and their colors on the breastplate of the priest)and materials used in the building of the ark, etc...is to show us that the very best is to be used to worship and glorify God. Hence the importance the Catholic Church places on the beauty of her churches, priestly robes, altar, tabernacle, etc...is clearly indicated by Scripture, God Himself! A barren, plain church (as was frequently built during 60's,70's, and 80's in the name of giving to the poor)does not glorify God and does nothing to bring hearts and minds to Him in worship, thereby neither serving God, nor supporting the people in becoming the charitable people God wants them to be through true worship. Truly fascinating, very good reading, and makes me love to read the Bible.
Wild Kratts Season 7
Wild Kratts Season 7
This is just a great show all the way around. My 7-year old daughter and 5-year old son LOVE it, and they watch it together every single day. That's TOGETHER. As in, no fighting over princesses or cars. They love watching it, but they have learned so much. My husband was joking with our son a couple of nights ago and asked if a cheetah or a road runner would be fastest in a race. He said "Well, the cheetah is the fastest land mammal, but the roadrunner is also a bird. And the fastest bird is a peregrine falcon. And he can go over a hundred miles an hour just flying, but h can go over TWO hundred miles and hour when he rucks his wings in like this!" Yup. Five. No sassy characters, good teamwork, consequences for poor choices (but they don't make a habit of showing flawed characters)... Yes, kids, you can watch it. Every...single...day.

Shatner's Raw Nerve Season 3
Shatner's Raw Nerve Season 3
William Shatner is the consummate interviewer. He listens to his guests and has the ability to draw more out of their story so you can see a clearer picture of who these people are. He also asks some pretty tough questions that expose their 'raw nerve' - makes the viewer realize that these amazingly powerful, successful people are just as human as we all are. Shatner exposes their humanity in a way no other interviewer has. Bravo to Shatner and the show - I only wish it was televised more broadly than it was. If you like to be inspired by extraordinary people, watch all seasons. I went on a raw nerve binge and did all 3 seasons in a day - definitely worth your time.

Although it is not tremendously expensive, my 7 year old used his own money to purchase this. Out of the box, it looked cool and worked - remote control worked, the black panther changed colors, etc. However, literally that night, it only glows red, won't change colors, won't turn off when desired or just turns off. Clearly a waste of money and a disappointing product.
Doctor Strange Masterworks Vol. 2 (Strange Tales (1951-1968))
Doctor Strange Masterworks Vol. 2 (Strange Tales (1951-1968))
Dr. Strange finds himself in an intense battle against a group of sorcerers whom he manages to overcome. However, his greatest challenges lies ahead as his nemesis the Dread Dormammu returns. To include other would be conquerors will stand up to challenge him. -summary

This second volume of Marvel Masterworks Dr. Strange collects Strange Tales issues 142 - 168, and continues the rest of his shared stories with Nick Fury which took place between 1966 - 1968 across Marvel's title Strange Tales. After this series Dr. Strange would see his own title due to some popularity. For those who may not know, Nick Fury's stories are collected in his own Marvel Masterworks trade titled Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.

This second batch of stories may not be as good as the first volume but they're far away from bad, and they still maintain a great amount of entertainment through some imaginative writing. The stories this time around are also longer focusing on actual story arcs which is a good thing, because some of the individuals Dr. Strange is forced to battle are indeed some tough customers, and through so much build up it would be quite lame for bit-sized stories.

Now one thing to point out is that these stories were written by a plethora of writers such as Steve Ditko, Marie Severin, and even Dennis O' Neil. Dr. Strange's titles weren't looked at in the same favorable light as Spider-Man, Hulk, or Thor for example. Therefore his Strange Tales title was like a testing ground for writers. Despite this revolving door of writers; I found a good enough consistency between the stories.

Dr. Strange engages in another confrontation with Dormammu which is nothing more than a set up to introduce newer and more powerful characters such as Eternity, The Living Tribunal, and finally Dormammu's powerful sister Umar; whom actually doesn't care for her brother, but considers it a duty to kill Strange and avenge her brother's defeat and apparent death due to a mortal. This is one of the better and quite possibly best encounters in the book. However, there's nothing afterwards I can consider to be boring.

Dr. Strange's title really is a lot better than some people give it credit for. One thing I still find interesting about his stories is how unique they are to him. As master of the mystic arts, Dr. Strange's world is strictly based on magic and even the occult. In these stories he faces sorcerers and demons with these battles taking place in different dimensions. It seems as if he's the only hero capable of performing these missions which sets him apart from everyone else. The cleverness needed to escape and confront many of his enemies is something only he can do, and it adds another dimension to the overall action. His fists are rarely the answer which provides a huge change of pace when compared to about 99% of the stories written around this time.

The artwork delivers some highly creative fantasy landscapes that fully develops Dr. Strange's world. When picking up this title and witnessing these highly colorful backgrounds and different demonic creatures, it's clear that a frequent comic reader will be getting something different. The different otherworldly settings reminds me of Thor's title during his trips to Asgard. There's a grand feel to everything that towers over the usual streets of New York Spider-Man frequents or the Hulk's desert stomping grounds. I find it to be a lot of fun.

The only real flaw besides the artwork and writing not being as tight as the first volume, is that I can imagine hardcore action fans, the fist to face types not really getting into this fantasy world where the characters battle through incantations and magic wielding; but if one can get pass those things then they more than likely may come away enjoying these stories. I definitely recommend giving this early Dr. Strange run a look. I enjoy these stories much more than when I was younger.

Pros: Very good writing at times, nice imagination

Cons: Could be too different from other titles, multi-arcs may bother some
Ranma 1/2 (2-in-1 Edition), Vol. 19 (19)
Ranma 1/2 (2-in-1 Edition), Vol. 19 (19)

A Year in the Woods
A Year in the Woods
I got this book for my 10 year old granddaughter to introduce her to Thoreau. Here is a man who lived a couple of years in the woods near the town where he grew up. He chose to spend some time in solitude to allow himself to think more clearly about life. He kept a journal and recorded his observations. He was a transcendentalist and believed in the goodness of nature and man.

I would like her to see life can be lived simply and still be rewarding. This book is not the end of the journey, but the beginning.

The words in the book are Thoreau's and the illustrations add to the overall picture of life near Walden Pond. The book is a comforting read for an adult. I recommend it for 8 to 12 year olds as well as adults.

I was given this book by the publisher and I promised to write an honest review.
Dark Canyon: A Novel
Dark Canyon: A Novel
Gaylord Riley, a young sixteen year boy, whose father was murdered by roaming thieving gangs of men, who were up to no good. Gaylord chased those six men down and exacted the revenge for his father's murder. Gaylord Riley didn't have any family so he did what he had to survive as so many young folks did when they had no choices.
He became known as "The Brazos Kid," who never picked a fight, not did he back down from a challenge. He became involved with Jim Coburn leader of "Coburn Gang" whose gang is wanted for bank robberies. Riley was at the bar when all of a sudden Jim Coburn is up against two gunnies, after he accused them of cheating, so just imagine the scene folks and everyone in the saloon moving out of the way of flying lead. Coburn knows this could be the end for him, but he was taken at least one before the bullet finds him. Just at that moment Riley steps up along side of Coburn backing his play..Folks it's a normal situation in those times to settle any type of accounts with guns.what else is new..right?
This Coburn gang Gaylord ran with them, but he never killed anyone, just shot overheads to make them take cover. Coburn noticed this and decided The Kid needed to hear out disconnect from the gang, with the request, that h e but a ranch and if they ever wanted to leave the owlhoots 👣trail they would have a p!ace to go to. Riley agreed and told them where he would settle, they all knew the area, so that's how Gaylord Riley became a cattleman.
The town of Rimrock and the surrounding ranches/farms is bullied by Martin Hardcastle who feels he can have any woman he wants, and the chosen woman should be grateful and appreciative of his charm..What a bunch of malarkey, but that's how those men in the West acted.
Everyone please if you've never read Louis L'Amour, I suggest you hurry up and read his Westerns. He even has Tell Sackett make an appearance, I should say a "Cameo" appearance he's with the Sackett Family Saga, another great family who helped settled the West.
So ENJOY read , read you'll get a lot of enjoyment and a history lessons as you ride the high plains and over the Great Rockies, it's beautiful folks.
P.S. folks they spelled Coburn, Colburn for the Coburn Gang, little confusing but go with the flow...right folks?

Zane Grey Collection: Riders of the Purple Sage, The Call of the Canyon, The Man of the Forest, The Desert of Wheat and Much More (Xist Classics)
I like westerns and especially those from Zane Grey's era. I like most of the popular writers and Grey is among them. Riders of the Purple Sage is one everyone should read if he wants to get to know Zane Grey. Grey's style is somewhat slow moving and delves more into personal relationships than some of the others that move faster, but he is a master story teller and a describer of nature and beauty.
I've read this book in English at least a dozen times, and yet reading it in French showed me things I hadn't really noticed before, probably because I had to read more slowly. One also gains a new appreciation for reading things in the original language. The translator did an excellent job, finding equivalents for Tolkien's mix of esoteric and homely language, even managing to put the poems into a form that rhymed in French and kept the overall sense. Yet "Seigneur Sombre" is never going to work right as a translation of "Dark Lord" - one realizes there really isn't a way to say some things in French. Tolkien liked Anglo-Saxon words, preferring "Many Meetings" (title of first chapter of second half) to the possible alternative of "Numerous Encounters." Yet French doesn't have A-S words. It only has about half as many words total as modern English, and it's thus stuck with "Noumbreux Rencontres."

It's really interesting to read in French nonetheless and improves one's reading vocabulary. My French is excellent, yet every couple of pages I come across a technical or unusual word I didn't know. A French-English dictionary downloads along with the ebook, allowing one to tap just right (on a Kindle) on a word and get a translation. The ebook does not however have the promised illustrations of the paperback.

Hard Hat Harry: Monster Trucks
Hard Hat Harry: Monster Trucks
The Hard Hat Harry series is the BEST for little kids! My son watched the farming one over & over again! It was even entertaining for us adults! It's done in a wonderful way that doesn't talk down to kids. I work in public education, this is one of my favorite recommendations!
Aquarius Harry Potter Hogwarts Express 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle
Aquarius Harry Potter Hogwarts Express 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle
First off, if you are claiming the puzzle is "missing pieces" then you lost the pieces....Lets be honest with ourselves. They cut the puzzle and press the pieces out and they go right into a bag. I do at least 5-6 1000 piece puzzles a year, they never have missing pieces. I have most of the Aquarius Harry Potter collectible puzzles for a game room, not one was missing anything. Do the puzzle on a dedicated table and organize your pieces, be careful what you vacuum / throw away, and drop on the floor. This puzzle was especially hard because the red text is used on the top and bottom, the pieces look very similar. The train was super hard because its so dark like the sky, but it looks beautiful when complete.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (English and Japanese Edition)

LEGO The Lord of the Rings Hobbit Gandalf Arrives (9469)
LEGO The Lord of the Rings Hobbit Gandalf Arrives (9469)
When Lego announced that they would sell the Lord of the Rings collection, I became a Gollum looking for his beautiful ring.

I decided to buy first the small box, which is Gandal Arrives, and I must to say that every detail of this toy has made me enjoy. Gandalf the Grey came with his cape, beard, rod and hat. The tumbril came with a brown horse, with a beautiful white mark in his front head. The chair in the tumbril, only let one minifigure stay in there. In the tumbril back, you can put the barrel in which you can put the fireworks (2 normal and 1 dragon firework) and a bag with carrot.

Frodo, has his hobbit suit, the book (which you can open or close), the envelope (with seal) and two faces(happy and worried in the back and front head).

It's beautiful and you can enjoy it.
LOVEF Large Oversized Metal Frame Clear Lens Round Circle Vintage Eye Glasses 5.42inch
LOVEF Large Oversized Metal Frame Clear Lens Round Circle Vintage Eye Glasses 5.42inch
So... These glasses are pretty cool. I really like the size of the frame but the bridge is a LOT higher than it looks in the pictures.
The biggest con for me is that the lenses CAN'T be changed. I used to work with glasses, and metal frames should have a screw holding two parts of the lens area together. There is a space for this screw, but there isn't a screw, and it looks like it was welded together.
I bought these to use for my new glasses, but because of this reason I'm returning them.
They look good, but that's all they're good for.

Controllers for Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action: The Movie Trivia Game (Xbox 360) - Rated T
Great little camera that produces first class pictures.
We bought it to monitor hedgehogs as we knew they were visiting our garden.
Wow were we surprised we now have hundreds of pictures from different times of the night.
The camera seems to be very robust.
Iwas devastated when I dropped the camera but to my please try surprise, at close inspection, there was hardly any damage taken by the camera.
Defo worth considering if you are a novice and getting into taking pictures and videos of wildlife!
The camera is very flexible in that you can adjust the settings in the menu according to your requirements.
For example image size, video length, interval between the camera being triggered are amongst a host of things that the user can decide.
Superb quality pictures especially with the night vision settings.

My primary reason for loving this movie is that it is a tale showing the consequences of of not forgiving and not repenting.

I understand that it can be viewed as over sympathetic to Hindus or to Muslims, as viewed from either side, it can be viewed as unrealistic, and as an example of how not to do some CGI. But I love the plot and what I perceive its message to be.

***SPOILERS***
When Balraj rages against his illegitimate son's existence, he breaks our view of his character as restrained and fair and reveals his human frailty. The acknowledgement that his wife was evidently willing to take in Zafar is something I do wish the story might have gone further into, but I love how it shows the presence of a desire for amity even in the presence of evil and its consequences. One wonders how different the story would have turned out had Balraj really listened, repented, and been willing to suffer for his wrong by building the relationship his son deserved.
This tragedy of non-repentance leads to Zafar's willingness to destroy his own integrity to revenge himself on his father. The monster he creates ends up eating him, taking his life and his possibility for happiness in this life with the woman for whom he has affection. For me, the hug between Roop and Zafar before the riot is as tragic as the embrace between Newland Archer and Ellen Olenska in Scorsese's The Age of Innocence.
Ultimately for me this movie provides a vision of what the world becomes when we do not forgive and repent. So in the end, I love Zafar's quote,"But Roop is right, when someone else's failure feels like victory to us, then we are the greatest failures in the world..." and I'll surrender a half star.
New Balance Men's 608 V5 Casual Comfort Cross Trainer
New Balance Men's 608 V5 Casual Comfort Cross Trainer
I have been thru several different makes and models in the last few years and was disappointed by every purchase.
I have arthritis in both ankles and my left was shattered in an accident and is always painful. I was buying spongy shoes for the cushioning but those bothered my hips and back. My feet also roll outward and the shoes were only lasting 8-10 weeks. I've been wearing this current pair for 4 months and they are still supportive and comfortable. I hope New Balance doesn't mess with a good thing as they seem to always do. I would recommend these to anyone needing a supportive cushioned shoe.
Update: I live in SW FL. where it rains everyday. I was wearing a new pair to work and I got caught in a downpour. I work outside so I ended up having to walk in soggy sand and when the shoe got wet it lost all support.
The shoes were only a week old and I ended up with my foot rolled outward and I was walking on the actual side of the shoe. Being out of town for a job I had to wear them walking on the side for 2 more days. My ankles hurt so bad I had to crawl through the house because I could not walk. This went on for 2 more days before I could put any weight on them.
Having worn New Balance for as long as I can remember I ordered another pair and it felt awkward after just trying the on. I took a mini square and was amazed how far the shoe was. The top part of the shoe was attached to the sole crooked.SEE PIC.
I just ordered a pair of Reebok DMX Max to try.

If you are a very very neat person I will not recommend you this product. I like to keep my case very neat as it is so white and idk how some black stain was in my case and I tried to clean it so many times but it doesn’t go away. And I had hopes for this product but it still is the same. Although the packaging was good.

Wireless Charger Dock 4 in 1 Fast Charging Station, iKALULA Nightstand QI Quick Charger, Foldable Adjustable Stand for iPhone SE/11/11 Pro Max/XR/XS Max, iWatch 5/4/3/2/1 Airpods Pro/2/1 Apple Pencil
I recently purchased an Apple Watch which I have loved having but having to charge it every night can be a bit of the hassle, especially when I have several other devices that need to be charged after a long day of use. I randomly found this charging station and immediately bought it hoping it would make my life easier and it certainly has! Instead of having to have several different chargers around my bedroom, I’m now able to just use this one device. After a long day at work, I’m able to just put all of my devices on it and forget about them until the next morning. I also really appreciate that it doesn’t require any other wires or chargers to use as I’ve seen other versions that are basically just stands as they require separate wires to actually charge. Overall, I am very happy with this and hope it will continue working this flawlessly.

Embassy Stainless Steel Cooker Separator Suitable for 3 Ltrs Prestige Popular and Popular Plus Outer Lid Cookers (Steel)
Embassy Stainless Steel Cooker Separator Suitable for 3 Ltrs Prestige Popular and Popular Plus Outer Lid Cookers (Steel)
Good product. Fits well into Pigeon 3 litres cooker. Though there is no steam vent-hole or a dent in the edge of the container for steam to escape, there seems to be no problem with the usage.
Only minor drawback is that both the containers are of the same size. But typically, we keep more rice and less dal for cooking. So it would have been ideal had one container been larger than the other.

I really really like this paper. I bought it because of the reviews, and I’m glad I did.

However, because of the reviews, I counted the paper before using them... and like most other people, I did not receive all 50 sheets. I only received 47. So that’s why I docked a star.

If you have a project where you need 50 sheets exactly, I’d order two packs or use a different vendor for sure.

With that said, I love everything else about this paper. They packaged it up really nice so it wouldn’t be damaged. It was in a box with plastic wrap around it and then inside the box had a bit of cardboard paper to keep the box from smashing.

The paper arrived in perfect shape with no bent corners or damaged sheets.

It held up well using watercolors. In my last pic you can see it curled a little bit, but not anymore than norma watercolor does. When I put some heavy books on it overnight it flattened back out just fine.

I really like how colored pencil and my other pens/markers showed up on the sheet.

They are slightly different colors of black from the front and back. You can see that In my 3rd and 4th pic. My pictures make it seem like it’s a huge difference but it’s just the way the lighting hit it. It’s not THAT noticeable. But one side does seem to reflect light a little more than the other.

Overall I do really like this paper. It’s black all the way through, the edges are clean and sharp, not frayed and rigid like construction paper.

It’s a little thinner than a normal card, but a lot thicker than printer paper.

I’m using it mainly to make cards and pictures using watercolors and calligraphy, and it’s definitely good for that.

I would absolutely buy this again.
