The Strange Case of Donald J. Trump: A Psychological Reckoning
The Strange Case of Donald J. Trump: A Psychological Reckoning
“Written by a world-renowned professor of personality, this is the best book for serious students of Donald Trump’s psychology. It will be around years from now when people want to know what made Trump tick. Unlike authors who simply relate Trump’s history and behind the scenes actions, McAdams covers those events and then places them within the context of modern developmental personality theory. While this may sound dull, the book is, instead, simultaneously a page turner about Trump and an education in the science of personality.” –Arthur Nielsen, MD, Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University and faculty, The Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis

I actually bought this for myself. It is well designed with good quality sound. The box it comes in is great for gifting. It's a lot of fun and makes me smile when I use it. It's my new favorite coffee cup. The reviews from NON-verified purchasers who didn't even buy or use the product should be taken with a grain of salt. It isn't fair that this small business' product review rating is being negatively impacted by people that haven't even touched their product.
The Best Of The Original Mono Recordings
The Best Of The Original Mono Recordings
This is a most welcome album. Finally, mono digital recordings of Bob Dylan's early songs! And an excellent selection of songs too; covering every phase of his output up through the album JOHN WESLEY HARDING. Almost every song here is a better digital recording than you will get anywhere else (except of course the full mono albums themselves). One of the rare exceptions, actually, is also one of the bigger disappointments. This mono version of "Like A Rolling Stone" does not compare well with the version on the, now out of print, DCC release of HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED, which was remastered, in stereo, in the early 1990s by Steve Hoffman. That stereo version of "Like A Rolling Stone" crackles with power. It is clear, crisp, and overwhelming. This mono version is more average; not bad, just average. I did not actually expect this to be the case, so have now listened to both versions, back to back, twice at home and twice in my car. Steve Hoffman's stereo version wins, and it is not even close.

Okay, so that's the bad news. The good news is that every other song here is better in mono. In the case of "Mr. Tambourine Man" this is particularly true. It has never been better! The mono version makes the stereo version sound primitive. The recording is smooth and steady, with Dylan's singing warm and clear. Bravo!

Every Dylan fan will want this disc -- unless they are buying the entire mono box set.

P.S. I do not have a copy of the 2003 remastering of "Like A Rolling Stone." Thus cannot compare to this mono.
Take What You Need: UK Covers Of Bob Dylan Songs 1964-1969 / Various
Take What You Need: UK Covers Of Bob Dylan Songs 1964-1969 / Various
This is a very mixed bag of British Dylan covers from the 60s, we get off to a great start with the Fairies (with possibly Jimmy Page on guitar) who get a surprisingly good country rock sound for 1964 on “Don't Think Twice, It's All Right”. There are also more well known hit covers such as Manfred Mann’s “If You Gotta Go, Go Now” and also “I Am a Lonesome Hobo ” by Julie Driscoll and the Brian Auger Trinity (who also covered and had a hit with "Wheels on Fire"), as well as well-judged versions by established pop artists like Alan Price and Joe Cocker. We also get competent run--throughs by beat groups including The Cops and Robbers, The Factotums, The Mixed Bag and Country Fever (which included Albert Lee, Ian Paice and Chas Hodges). We also get artists from the folk scene including Fairport Convention, The Three City Four, Ian and also Alex Campbell as well as Cliff Aungier, alongside more show-bizzy folks like Julie Felix, Noel Harrison and Sandie Shaw. There are some interesting tracks here and nice period pieces but not sure that it all hangs together as a compilation.

Sun Bum Lip Balm, SPF 30, 0.15 oz. Stick, 1 Count, Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB Protection, Hypoallergenic, Paraben Free, Gluten Free, Vegan
I was looking for an spf protection for my lips. I wanted something that was moisturizing and had good clean ingredients. The ingredients, value and reviews seemed to make this the best choice, unfortunately the flavors are way too strong and too sweet. It is very strong and over powering making it very unpleasant to use. They are very moisturizing, I want the spf protection, not to mention I just spent my money on them so I am trying to use them but it is unpleasant. I bought the 3 pack so I'm disappointed with this purchase. All 3 flavors are super sweet and over powering. I've had lip balms with flavors but they were very light and not offensive. If you don't care for flavored lip balms you probably won't like this.
The Poacher's Son: A Novel (Mike Bowditch Mysteries Book 1)
The Poacher's Son: A Novel (Mike Bowditch Mysteries Book 1)
The sense of being in the main woods is the best thing about this tale. However, the only likeable characters are minor characters Charlie an ex-warden and his wife. But how can main character Mike even be sane in the insane world of this book? Mike's father calls him before Mike finds out his father is accused of murder. The immediate assumption here by everyone but Mike that his dad is the killer is far fetched to the point that the rest of law enforcement seem incompetent. Angst over mike's treatment, or his dad's lack of interest when he was a lad suffocates the begining of the novel. Characters seem to unrealistically dislike Mike because they think his father is guilty. And there is an amazing double standard in how Mike is treated as a law enforcement officer. Mike gives this jerk a ticket for not having permits and life vests. The guy files a complaint. Mike's boss seems to back him. Mike sees the same guy later with no vest on his young son and gives him another. This is something that could result in tragedy if the boat top sided. . But in this world now Mike is in trouble. How could he go after a guy who filed a complaint. Meanwhile a deputy who had problems with Mike's dad in the past arrests him without evidence. The cop car crashed and dad escapes. Dad goes on the run. It could be because he knows the deputy is out to get him. This guy now hates Mike's dad and will do anything to pin the murder on him. It seems to be the main reason Mike's dad is considered the killer. No one knows a motive why the dad would kill the people in question, there were better suspects. No one in the novel has any problem with the deputy with previous problems with the dad, being in on the case. Mike is referred to as a coward. Yet when law enforcement think they have his dad trapped, and are going to shoot up a cabin to get him (and yes the TRIGGER-HAPPY deputy with the grudge is there) Mike, who is not supposed to really be there, almost gets shot saving the lives of who is inside.
What is really annoying is that Mike seems mostly helpless in this novel. He does take action until the end and almost seems to sleepwalk into it in a world where most of the people seem indifferent or nasty. I suggest skip this one.
Bamboo Toothbrush and Travel Toothbrush case (4-Pack with Cases) - Wheat Straw Travel Toothbrush Covers - Soft Bristle Toothbrush - Natural Toothbrush Materials - Wood Toothbrush
Bamboo Toothbrush and Travel Toothbrush case (4-Pack with Cases) - Wheat Straw Travel Toothbrush Covers - Soft Bristle Toothbrush - Natural Toothbrush Materials - Wood Toothbrush
It's a good product. I spent weeks looking at different options online, and eventually chose this one because it came with multiple toothbrushes plus plastic-free travel holders. Would be great for a family but I bought them for myself.

The holder is the perfect size and fits the toothbrush perfectly, but it does not have enough ventilation for the toothbrush to dry inside it. After just a week of use, the bamboo parts of the toothbrush got all moldy from staying wet inside the case. Personally I don't like exposing my toothbrush to "bathroom air" which is the whole reason I bought a set with holders, so that was disappointing.

But it was a simple enough fix. I soaked the toothbrush handle in diluted bleach for a day to kill the mold and I've found somewhere else to store the toothbrush after use so it dries properly. Have not had a problem since.

The bristles are pretty soft. I prefer a firmer toothbrush and some of the reviews complained that they were quite hard, so i thought they would be a medium firmness. But no they're actually soft. Just something to be aware of.

Packaging was great, the four toothbrushes were inside the holders, which were inside a perfectly sized cardboard box. No plastic whatsoever.

All in all, a good purchase. I have a year's worth of toothbrushes now and a nice set of colorful holders that I can give to family members.
Black Panther Vibranium PowerFX Claw
Black Panther Vibranium PowerFX Claw
I purchased this to match the mask hat I bought in a local store. My 4 year old son likes it somewhat. It makes sounds with movement and lights up. Only 3 stars because to make it light up the claws have to be pressed across a surface and dragged. It requires quite a bit of pressure that is hard for him. And now he wants to drag it all over my floors or walls!! The fit is a bit uncomfortable when flexing and extending the hand.
A bit pricey for what you get.

Guardians Trilogy Collection Set (Stars of Fortune, Bay of Sighs, Island of Glass)
I loved it. Nora is at her best when she is writing about fantasy and Ireland. She creates fascinating characters and has a way of writing that moves like air through your lungs. It’s effortless. Definitely read this trilogy in order though as each book builds on the prior book’s story. The only sad part was the end of the last book! I wasn’t ready to let go of these characters.

Robert Ludlum's The Apocalypse Watch
Robert Ludlum's The Apocalypse Watch
I can see how this might have some modest comedic value when kicking back on the couch with a 40 oz and Papa John's pizza. But, nah, not for me.

Even if you can make it past the bloviating "Brit-speak" and acting aplomb that compares unfavorably to a middle school Christmas play, there's nothing like a "diamond in the rough" to be found here -- your garden-variety Lifetime Original or "ABC After School Special" is decidedly less wooden and formulaic.

Oh, my! How bad it is!
Navy SEAL Survival: An Anthology (SEAL of My Own Book 1)
Navy SEAL Survival: An Anthology (SEAL of My Own Book 1)
I really enjoyed this book. It had a team of Navy Seal's, and a heroine that would take on anyone to save her sister. Natalie had been a operative for a covert agency until her parents were killed. She found another job, when she became the guardian of her younger sister. Her sister went on vacation, and she got a call saying her sister was missing in Mexico. Natalie was ready to play bait, to find out who took her sister. She called up a friend that she had worked with at the agency, and he was willing to do anything to help her bring her sister home alive.

Duff and his team mates were on vacation. Duff, and Natalie hit it off right away. Duff and his team mates needed a vacation, but they all stepped up to help Natalie find her sister.

I loved the action, and the suspense throughout the story. Great book, that I will be adding to my list of favorite's.
Bleach, Vol. 5: Right Arm of the Giant
Bleach, Vol. 5: Right Arm of the Giant
When Ichigo first encounters the Quincy, Uryu Ishida, the oblivious Ichigo is totally unaware that Ishida is in his class. In fact, he’s top of the class. But not only is Ishida aware of Ichigo, he knows that the substitute soul reaper is following him home. Ishida challenges Ichigo to a game to decide who is superior—a Quincy or a Soul Reaper. Meanwhile, Rukia has gone to see the shady shopkeeper, Kiskue, to see if he knows anything about a Quincy.

Ishida proposes to draw Hollows to the area and then see who can kill the most, but Ichigo is against this idea, as it will put the people of Karakura in danger. But it’s too late, the heedless Ishida has already dispersed the Hollow bait and they are beginning to converge. Then Ishida drops another bombshell—Hollows are drawn to anyone with any spiritual energy. As Ichigo races toward his home, Ishida thinks they aren’t the only ones close to Ichigo who possess spiritual gifts.

Ichigo sends Kon to retrieve the phone from Rukia, who is still at Uruhara’s store. She suddenly starts to receive Hollow reports, but they end almost as soon as they begin. What’s going on here? When her phone begins to blow up, she realizes something sinister is going on.

Meanwhile, Chad senses something shimmering and he knows it isn’t good, so he tells his friends to run before he punches it. He decides to lead the thing, whatever it is, to a vacant lot where he can fight without hurting innocent bystanders. There he encounters Ichigo’s sister, Karin, who is practicing soccer. Oddly, she seems to be able to see the creature that is following Chad, although her teammates cannot. She yells at them to go away. Maybe, if she and Chad team up, they can do something about this creature.

Chizuru and Tatsuki constantly vie for Orihime’s attention, and Chizuru makes no bones about her attraction to her. Suddenly Orihime announces she wants to hurry home to watch a TV show, but the truth is she’s seen something on top of the school building and is trying to get her friends to safety. This doesn’t work, to her dismay, and she finds herself facing the strange creature. But she is about to discover powers she was unaware she possessed.

In this volume of Bleach, we are getting a better grasp of who’s who in this world, and their growing importance to Ichigo and the story. Bleach is full of hilarious moments, and this volume is no exception. I love Kubo’s sense of humor, as well as the diversity of his characters. There is a lot of action as the people Ichigo cares about find themselves in peril. Although I do prefer watching the action scenes in the anime, they are still fund to look at in the books.

Another great volume, looking forward to more of the same.

Siddhartha - Bilingual Edition, German and English (English and German Edition)
Siddhartha - Bilingual Edition, German and English (English and German Edition)
Siddhartha is a great book and I was very happy to find a bilingual edition. I prefer to read German works in German, but having the English handy is helpful when the German exceeds my fluency. When the book arrived, I was a little disappointed by its cheap look, from the poorly designed cover to the printed pages that looked like they were spit out of MS Word. However, after finishing, it's hard for me to recommend this edition. I can't speak for the English pages because I rarely checked them, but the German side is full of typos. I rarely went more than two or three pages without finding misspelled words, stray punctuation (there are frequent places where a space between words is filled with a stray comma or period), missing punctuation where it should be, and other similar errors. It looks like a poorly proofed OCR scan. I don't mind a few typos in any book, but in this one they were frequent and distracting enough to make me mistrust the German pages and to mar the experience of reading this great work.

I spot-checked the translation and it was decent, but not great. If you want to read this in English, you're better off with a different edition. If you want to compare the languages, this edition is OK, but be aware that it is poorly produced.

I had looked through the other interesting titles provided by this publishing house, but after experiencing the poor quality of their work, I don't plan to buy any more of their books. I'd have to be extremely interested in a book that I can't find anywhere else to go to them again.
The Worlds of Edgar Rice Burroughs
The Worlds of Edgar Rice Burroughs
This book was created by authors who lovingly wrote short stories about worlds that were created by a man who influenced so many people during his lifetime and beyond. This man's name was Edgar Rice Burroughs, and for him writting was about paying the bills, a way to survive, but in the process, led the way for so many authors of the past and the present, who thank Mr. Burroughs for his contribution to the field.

In this book there is an introduction by Mike Resnick and Robert T. Garcia, and eleven short stories by Kristine Kathryn Rush, Mecedes Lackey, Richard A. Lupoff, Mike Resnick, Ralph Roberts, Peter Davis, Kevin J. Anderson and Sarah A. Hoyt, Max Alan Collier and Matthew Clements, Todd McCaffery, Paul Wilson, and last, Joe R. Lansdale. There is also a section with each author's biography.

I have only read stories by five of the authors and found the stories to be well written and a joy to read the contributions from all the authors.

This anthology is a marvel, and thanks to Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc., the authors were given the chance to pay tribute to a man they have admired for their whole careers.

I recommend this book to people who hold Mr. Burroughs close to their hearts, and hope they enjoy the stories within which are lovingly written for everyone's enjoyment.

This book gets five stars from me as it transported me to the worlds that Mr. Burroughs created a lifetime ago, and of which was hard to put down.
The Bridges at Toko-Ri
The Bridges at Toko-Ri
I have always loved watching Grace Kelly; so beautiful and talented. I also enjoy watching William Holden; I really appreciate the actors of his caliber from the 1930,1940s, 1950s and 1960s; I do not know what it is, the quality of acting, the characters they portray or even the scripts; either way, I really enjoy watching them.

About the movie, unfortunately, this movie did break a few rules one of them is "you never kill off the leading character", they could have made this into a sequel where William Holden being captured by the Koreans, taken to prison, interrogated, tortured; and then, a dramatic escape ensues and finally he gets rescued; then, is eventually brought back together with his family and kids. But, that is not to be in this case.

About the film it self, for the era that this film was shot the quality of the film making is very good, yes there are a few errors made when it came down to landing jets on the deck with other planes being on the deck and a few seconds later they are gone. I definitely enjoyed watching these older jets taking off and land on the aircraft carrier, flying, and attacking the bridges; obviously, the navy would use it's own pilots for flying, that is a given. The film companies are not about to let their lead actors fly or get killed. But, the way the scenes were shot and edited were very clean making the transitions easy from actual pilot to actor and back again. I know the jets used in this movie were not the same jets written about in the novel, that's okay, it does not matter, the jets look close enough to the original ones. The special effects were good at the time this film was made.

Overall, this movie was directed well, the acting was pretty good along with the story line and special effects. But, I had to take it with a grain of salt and forgive the lack of technology. What can you say? I spoiled. I am so used to seeing green and blue screen special effects that I have to remind myself that I am looking at something from the past. At the time, this was an excellent movie and was recognized by the Academy Awards for best editing and special effects. I know the acting overall may not be Academy quality but it is acceptable. More over, it is a movie based on a novel called The Bridges at Toko-Ri by Pulitzer Prize winner James Michener; the foundation for this movie came from Mr. Michener's experiences while working as a news correspondent during 1951-1952 while aboard the Carriers USS Essex and Oriskany, at the time the navy had missions to attach the railroads and bridges of Majon-ni and Samdong-ni in North Korea; this makes watching this movie worth while, I feel it is an homage to those who gave their lives for us.

LEGO Harry Potter The Burrows 4840
LEGO Harry Potter The Burrows 4840
This had so much detail in all the features, a key by each door, a swivel pot. But the most exciting thing my grandson liked was the light brick. He said it was the rarest piece, not in any of his many kits. The only two reasons I didn't rate this five stars was the two parts to each section kept coming apart and had to be rebuilt. There was only one small part holding them together and it wasn't enough. We finally put a spare brick across them to stabilize it until it had more pieces installed. The second reason was that Fang was not included. It had two owls and three small spiders that we would swap for Fang. All in all, this is a great kit and we have enjoyed putting it together.

Flight of the Order of the Phoenix
You"'re almost flying yourself, as this track starts off with an anticipation of something happening, then the feel of the "Order" skimming the Thames at breakneck speed! It's heart pounding, wind rushing excitement, until the flight concludes with a very calming "that was soooooo cool" feeling of a feather landing.
LEGO The Lord of the Rings Hobbit The Mines of Moria (9473)
LEGO The Lord of the Rings Hobbit The Mines of Moria (9473)
I bought this Lego set for my 8 year old grandson for his birthday. His room is wall to wall Legos and he has a large table set up with his current Lego projects. My daughter is very organized and various Lego pieces are in bins stacked along the walls. All this is to say he is MAJORLY into Legos and has been for at least 3 years. This set was recommended for kids older than my grandson, but he likes a challenge and he is able to do this, but not so fast that he is finished immediately. He specifically wanted to begin a Hobbit Lego collection and was so excited to get this one, bragging to all his friends that this was a present from his grandparents. From my perspective a great gift for a child who is really proficient with Legos and likes a challenge. Have heard no negative comments from him--only positive.

Power Rangers: Dino Charge - Volume 5 - Hero
My kids recently started watching Power Rangers and I felt it was good and kid friendly, especially since it is on Nickelodeon channel… But then my three-year-old son told me to ‘shut up’ and the next day I heard one of the power rangers say it on the show and then I realized where he had heard and repeated the phrase from! Same thing happened with my 5-year-old daughter. While that is not a cuss word by any means, it’s not something I want my kids saying so I ended up deleting this app and I don’t let them watch the Power Rangers anymore… Maybe when they’re older but right now, it’s just too much for the age of my children.

I happened to see this by renting it because the plotline sounded interesting. Although I didn't expect a hit because it is considered a B movie, I loved it. Personally I enjoy action movies with a mixed group of people that need to pitch in together to fight off a common foe. In this case a crazed biker gang. A hodge podge of people board a bus in Texas not realizing several will die getting to their destination. The bus is attacked by some bikers. The events that follow cause the bikers to decide to trail the bus for kicks because they are so doped up they really don't care about anything or anybody. As we know fast moving buses don't always stay on the road so the rag tag group must seek shelter in a junkyard to avoid the attack of the killer bikers. I don't expect this movie to earn critical acclaim, but the average action thriller fan won't be disappointed.

Fred Ward isn't on the bus but is a military officer after an AWOL soldier that is on the bus. Ward doesn't have as large a part as the other notable actors but every scene you see him in you wished they used him more. The key roles are the bus passengers and they are all excellent in their parts. Although the overall storyline isn't new, we have all seen bikers attack families, other gangs, et cetera, but what they do with their little group is great. I never quite knew what to expect and when each passengers talent comes to light you should be entertained with how it is done. I have to say I enjoyed this as much as

The idea is a good one & for the few days it actually WORKED, it worked well. Mind you, it initially didn't work at ALL be cause the microcharger cord wouldn't stay in its little port. I tried another cord from another rechargeable microcord item & it worked great...until it stopped, once again indicating that the port was defective.
Sadly, I discovered all this after 30 days had passed. Very frustrating. Don't waste your money, there are MUCH better & very reliable chargers out there that do actually function as they should.

I bought this on the recommendation of Vivo as a maker of good quality, mid-priced monitor arms and chose this model specifically because it has built-in USB 3.0 ports in the base. The c-clamp included in this model is a single, wide metal piece that looked more substantial than others I'd looked at, and the base itself is cast metal as well. The edge of my desk is scalloped, however, so I wound up drilling a 3/8 inch hole to accommodate the included grommet mounting plate.

Installation of the arm itself was simple using the included Allen wrenches, and I had no issues following the instructions. The VESA mount also fit my monitor without issue, and I appreciate that it's quick-release. The cable management system was also fine for accommodating a single display port and power cable, though I could see the clamp portion getting a bit crowded if you're trying to run multiple input cables through it. Vivo also includes a cable management "ring" to put on the base's pole, and a clip for the back if you use the c-clamp option.

The USB parts are both male-to-female, though Viva doesn't include an AC adapter. The though being that you'd plug them into your PC, although I've just got them running to a two-port Anker power adapter at the moment and they work fine for what I wanted.

My only advice for installation is that the upper arm and monitor connection point (for my unit at least) were both shipped in what I'm presuming was their loosest position, so I was initially concerned when both the arm and my monitor did nothing but droop. After tightening both of those quite a bit though, they both seem more than capable of supporting my 34" ultrawide that exceeds its stated maximum width and is right against its maximum weight. There's zero wobble when I type and no drooping at all.

First off let me say I am in the IT business and have used and tested quite a few laptops over the last few years and I will say this one hits almost all the right buttons. Its small, premium look and feel with the aluminum design, has a great screen (which I was afraid of since I am somewhat of a screen snob) and honestly pretty decent battery life.

Now the reason I am sending this back is there is an issue with the new Intel graphics driver with the Iris xe chips. This appears to be an Intel issue as people with the new Dell XPS (has the same screen panel and same Intel chips) are complaining as well. The screen will intermittently go black and when it comes back the colors and brightness will be off for a few seconds. it can go for 30 minutes just fine and then will crash 3 times in the next 5 minutes. You never know and it is just really irritating. I ran the diags and it is telling me the video driver is crashing. It crashed 9 times in an hour on me when I was running the log. Now I reinstalled Windows from scratch, twice, went to the Intel site and tried the latest drivers, and tried every setting on and off in the intel control panel and nothing is working. I am not saying this is Razers fault here and I absolutely love everything else about this laptop but its a business laptop and I have to have this stable in order to do work.

I dont care about gaming on this at all as I have a gaming rig for that, but there is zero excuse for Intel to put out trash like this in the year 2020. This chipset should NEVER have come to market if there is not a stable driver for it so at this point the laptop is going back and I am going to take a hard look at Apple which really sucks. Sorry for the negative post on such a great machine and Kudos to Razer for making this device but man this si so dissapointing.
Lakrids 1 Sweet Licorice
Lakrids 1 Sweet Licorice
For my palate Panda plain black licorice is still the best. While Lakrids beats drugstore brands, such as Twizzlers and Red Vines, in both quality and flavor, I didn't find Lakrids superior to the Australian-style licorice also ordinarily sold in drugstores.

Arriving on schedule from Amazon, the contents of the jar I received looked and tasted fresh -- no complaints there -- but I find the texture overly tarry. Perhaps that's due to the rice flour that's used instead of wheat, but I'm only guessing.

So, for those who must remain gluten free, Lakrids might be just fine. From my perspective, however, especially considering the steep price, I won't buy Lakrids licorice in the future.
