A Beginner's Guide to the Stock Market: Everything You Need to Start Making Money Today
A Beginner's Guide to the Stock Market: Everything You Need to Start Making Money Today
When I was about 20, I picked up a book called "The Only Investment Guide You'll Ever Need" by Andrew Tobias. That book opened a whole new world for me, and led to a lifelong (profitable) fascination with investing and trading. Unfortunately, I eventually lost (or tossed) that book, and have wished I could find it again, even though it is definitely outdated.

Matthew Kratter's book is the same kind of book, only, perhaps, better. He summarizes many different approaches to investing and trading, and provides solid tips and resources to get started, including some of his own books (fair enough). Whether you want to start with the blue chip world of buy-and-hold dividend collection, or try the more active world of options trading--or something in between--there is something here for you. Looking back over my highlights, I find advice as diverse as the simple "Only losers average losers" to more advanced concepts such using a stock's float to make trading decisions.

I have three boys who are entering the workforce and ready to start investing. I think I know what I'll give them for stocking stuffers this Christmas.

Steve Jobs: 100 Success Lessons from Steve Jobs On How To Be Successful In Life And Business
Digital nerd Jesus, one of the greatest innovators of all time, visionary… Steve Jobs was the man from which we can learn a lot. He really did change the world, he changed our lives. This book gives us 100 success lessons which can learn from this great man’s example. Mr Rohn did a great job writing this very educative and helpful book for all of those who crave motivation and inspiration as a most needed fuel for journey to success.
Jeff Bezos: The Life, Lessons & Rules for Success
Jeff Bezos: The Life, Lessons & Rules for Success
This intelligently written book explores Jeff Bezos' life and his early interest in space exploration and computers. I feel this book is more focused on the intricate details of Jeff Bezos' life and amazon's beginnings which make the reading experience enthralling.

The author focuses on key moments that led Jeff Bezos from job to job as he climbed the ladder of success. By the time he realized selling books on the Internet was an extraordinary opportunity, you can see how he got there and brought his dream to life.

What was the first book amazon sold?
What is Amazon Air Prime?
Why do you need reusable rockets for space travel?
What is Jeff Bezos' favorite book?
What companies are probably famous today because Jeff Bezos invested in them?

The author answers these questions and more. I also found the author's wry wit to make the book very funny in places. A lot has happened since that fateful day in July 1995 and each book on Jeff Bezos and amazon presents different perspectives. This is essential reading if you love amazon and want to know more about Jeff Bezos' rise to richest person on the planet. I am really impressed with how this book was written and I feel it is very well researched.

The Design of Everyday Things: Revised and Expanded Edition
The Design of Everyday Things: Revised and Expanded Edition
A lot of people voice their disappointment with this book, because they expect it to be an in-depth, authoritative guide written for professional designers, and it turns out to be something else. Let me tell you a little secret, design people: it's not "the design bible", it's not "the UX bible", it's not anything bible. It's more of a religious pamphlet aimed at laymen who don't normally think about design in their everyday work, to bring them the gospel of good design practices in an extremely condensed form.

Developers love this book, because it's good (duh!) and also because it comes with recommendations from several luminaries in the field, most notably Jeff Atwood, the co-founder of StackOverflow. I'm no exception. It helped shift my focus from making software that does its job well, to making software that helps its users do their jobs well. It explains in very simple terms why you should care about how users experience and interact with the things you make and how to start thinking about making their interactions more satisfying and rewarding. It also walks you through the typical interaction cycle, from the idea of action that user wants to perform, to the interpretation of feedback they receive; it is a tremendous help when you are trying to 'debug' the interactions and figure out the exact reason why users find your design distracting, irritating or counter-intuitive.

There are sections clarifying the terms you might have heard elsewhere but don't know exactly what they mean (A/B testing, root cause analysis, iterative vs. waterfall approach) or how they might help you improve your design. There is a particularly illuminating chapter explaining why fridge controls and stove controls (among many other things) come in so many different and incompatible designs, how companies are trying to solve this problem with standardization and why standards sometimes create more problems than they solve.

What else? It's also short, well-written and entertaining. The jokes are rare, poignant, and usually delivered with a deadpan snark. To give you an example,
"The typewriter was a radical innovation that had a dramatic impact upon office and home writing. It helped provide a role for women in offices as typists and secretaries, which led to the redefinition of the job of secretary to be a dead end rather than the first step toward an executive position".
Nice, huh?

To summarize: buy this book if you want to know more about design in general and/or become a better designer to complement your other skills. Don't buy this book if you expect a huge how-to manual or a cookbook aimed at experienced designers.

Great read and some refreshingly insightful look into facets of life.
The Ultimate Experience
The Ultimate Experience
I love this CD. I think it represents Jimi Hendrix brilliantly, in compilation form. However, buyer beware when buying a copy. You do not want to buy a UK PDO printed CD from the year 1992, non picture disc. PDO UK now cease to exist. Discs from them at this time were manufactured defectively and tend to rot - they owned up to this problem; meaning they will effectively cease to play. Tell-tale signs (apart from UK origin): a gold tint to label side; later turning coffee coloured. I see many of these Ultimate Hendrix CDs for sale- often stated to be new. Sometimes passed off as scratch free, but obviously 'bronzing' when viewing from published images. Go for a US MCA print or mainland Europe PDO (Germany) print (the US version seems to be more rare); both tend to be safe, along with the HDCD version - which will play on any CD player. I think all picture disc CDs ' may' be OK as they seem to post-date the manufacturing problems, I believe. (PDO UK are said to have changed the protective CD lacquer formula; plus, possibly, substituted aluminium for silver in a disc's make up; the results meant a CD was 'attacked' by the sulphur present in CD booklets - leading to disc disintegration.) Suspect discs illustrated in attached picture (all were 'as new' on playing side; no scratches - bronzing tends to show on label side):

Amazon Brand - Solimo Silver Energy Drink, Sugar Free, 16 Fluid Ounce (Pack of 24)
Amazon Brand - Solimo Silver Energy Drink, Sugar Free, 16 Fluid Ounce (Pack of 24)
I tried the Silver flavor as I'm a fan of the White and Blue Monster Ultra energy drinks. First, to start with the energy boost, it is extremely comparable to Monster Ultra. If you're looking for a different flavor of the same type of energy drink, this is a perfect replacement.

For the flavor, it has a comparable taste to the Monster Ultra energy drinks, except a little less sweet. The silver flavor I can best describe as a a melted orange popsicle sweetened with artificial sweeteners. It has a less natural taste than the Monster Ultra drinks and has a lingering aftertaste that is... not great. The artificial sweeteners really pull through at the end which is why I couldn't rate it five stars. It is certainly sweet, but not as sickly sweet as the Ulta flavors. If you like the Monster Ultra flavors, you'll definitely like these, especially if you think that the Ultra flavors are a little on the sweet side.

Overall these are a great, cheaper alternative to the Monster Ultra drinks. If you're looking for another low carb and low cal energy drink and don't mind a little artificial aftertaste then these are a perfect match for you.

Arris Touchstone 16x4 SB6183 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem - Black (Renewed)
You get what you pay for but I think with this little bugger I got more. I have Xfinity and this works perfectly for me. I replaced an old model that I had for about 12 years so anything newer was going to be a big upgrade for me but this does the trick for a cheap price.

I did have to contact Xfinity to setup the modem as the self starter wasn't working. However, I think that was due to me being a little impatient as I contacted them right away when it didn't work. When I was on the phone with the Xfinity tech support the self starter popped up on my web browser so I think if I just would have waited 10-15 minutes I could have done it through the self starter.
GUND Fuzzy Teddy Bear Stuffed Animal Plush, Grey, 24"
GUND Fuzzy Teddy Bear Stuffed Animal Plush, Grey, 24"
I had 2 of the 13 inch Fuzzy Teddy Bear which I donated to a second grade classroom in need of "huggable toys" for 'at risk' children. so I already knew what these great bears were going to be like. I knew they are very soft, squishy, extremely floppy, and adorable. What I didn't realize was how big 24 inches is and how much better the bear is in the larger size, especially for an adult or older child. The smaller size is so great for little children but this big one would be a great gift if you want to send a 'hug' to a friend or give a gift to an older child. I'm going to send some of these to a family I know in need of a 'hug' : )
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (Theatrical)
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (Theatrical)
An author writes a book on their own. A comic book may have two authors (artist & story-writer). A film requires enormous up-front finance these days, dozens of people, etc. This may explain why "First in the marvellous new series..." feels natural where a book is concerned, but "sequel" in films screams "The first one made money! Quick!! Let's write another & cash in!!!" Despite the fact that GotG is "based on" Marvel Comics superhero characters, this is exactly how these films feel to me. Longish review shortened - GotG1 is decent, 4*; GotG2 is a duff cash-in, 2*. Average that out - 3*.

I am NOT a comic book fan. I've read the odd one here & there. Watchmen was damn fine & so was the film. But comic books have mostly passed me by, Marvel superhero stuff entirely so. I've happily escaped the money-making franchise mushroom that has appeared over the past decade or so. But GotG looked like fun, and this pack gives me both so...

GotG on film is as shallow as a puddle. If there's any depth to the comic books, it's not shown in either film. Consequently as a non-reader, I'm sure there's back-story & stuff that I'm utterly unaware off. And I can feel it; that things I should know are missing. This is not a good start. For all that, GotG can, I think, be fairly described as an SF action-adventure romp. It's fun but without any depth. Characters are cardboard cut-outs at best, wholly one dimensional if not. It's crash, bang, wallop, knockabout fun with gags & comedy side-kicks. Nothing wrong with that. It's 4*.

I don't know what they thought were doing with GotG2. I don't know whether it's actually based on a genuine GotG story, or whether it was written for the film. But it's duff. The plot is dodgy anyway, but then they load 3 sub-plots onto a script that has a dodgy premise & would struggle to support one sub-plot. The chuckles diminish, the SFX are... only what we've seen before, the crash bang wallop keeps getting interrupted with dull philosophising / moralising, "Why do you hate me / why don't you love me / how can you be like this" shizzle that simply doesn't work in the shallow universe we see. Oh, plus it is ENTIRELY predictable. Meh.

Let's put it like this - 1 is worth having, 2 isn't really, 3 is currently shelved. And if it becomes unshelved, I won't be taking any interest, given what 2 was like. I can't remember the prices I saw when I added GotG to my Wishlist, but if the price for this pack is close to the price for 1 alone, then buy the pack; you might as well. If it's not... 1 is worth spending a few quid for; 2 isn't.
VALEN 3D Desk lamp Acrylic Deadpool Night Light 7 Color Change Furniture Decorative Colorful Gift Household Accessories Boy Toys
VALEN 3D Desk lamp Acrylic Deadpool Night Light 7 Color Change Furniture Decorative Colorful Gift Household Accessories Boy Toys
Inexpensive and it absolutely made the kids go "ooooh, aaaaah!" They love it.

It's bright. It sucks almost no power. It takes up very little desk space, yet it also has a big visual appearance and seems larger than it is.

The one drawback—if you touch the front or back with your fingers, it's basically done for. It's acrylic, and the way the acrylic is being used (as a carrier of light), fingerprints light up like a Christmas tree once they're there—but trying to clean them off with *anything* (even soft tissue or microfiber) adds tons of microscratches that also light up like a Christmas tree.

So buy it, find a place to put it, and enjoy it, but be sure it's high up enough (if you have kids) that the front and back surfaces never get touched.
Seed of Chucky
Seed of Chucky
Continuing from Bride of Chucky... Tiffany has given birth to a strange looking razor tooth baby named Sh*thead. The seed is kidnapped by a british ventriloquist and forced to compete in ventriloquism contests in England. Sh*thead looks like a dead ringer for David Bowie in his Ziggy Stardust days. He has a kind soul and is nothing like his parents.

As each day passes hes wondering where his parents are and dreaming of meeting them. Soon enough he manages to escape and ends up in America. He makes it to the set of the movie where Tiffany and Chucky are filming a movie. He reads the voodoo chant words on his necklace and manages to bring his parents back to life.

Chucky and Tiffany cant tell what their child is so they take off his pants to reveal a barbie-like crotch. Tiffany wants a girl so she names her Glenda and Chucky wants a boy so he names him Glen. If you ask me id say its more like a boy. But Tiffany and Chucky continue to argue over it throughout the movie. To the suprise of Glen/Glenda his parents are killers , they try to do whats best for Glen/Glenda but its hard to stop killing, especially for Chucky. Papa Chucky wants to turn his son into a killer but Tiffany wants to stop the killing for her son/daughters best interest.

Overall, its a strange funny film more than scary. The movies in the series just get more weird by the years. I wonder what they'll think of next.
Dragon Ball Z (VIZBIG Edition), Vol. 9 (9)
Dragon Ball Z (VIZBIG Edition), Vol. 9 (9)
The Dragon Balls are collected, Shenlong the Dragon God is summoned, and this time THREE wishes are available - something to do with the Dragon Balls being larger/Shenlong appearing in his true form? But with Freeza on the way and mad as hell, what can the gang do - and will they be able to defeat him?

As expected, the big f you to the reader Akira Toriyama throws in towards the end of the last volume gets reversed pretty quickly at the beginning of this one. Without getting into spoilers, it’s an almost slapstick sequence of events that’s actually quite funny in its absurdity. And the whole Ginyu Special Force is revealed to be the joke it always was so, bravo, Toriyama, it was right in front of us the whole time but you kept us guessing anyway - they weren’t that serious a threat!

It does mean though that Son Goku is taken out of the main story once again but I’m not mad. I understand Toriyama’s decision to use Goku sparingly as he’s clearly the audience favourite and putting him in here and there, rather than all the time, only makes his appearances that much more special. Plus you know he’s the secret weapon who’ll turn the tide in the fight against Freeza so Toriyama’s keeping us from getting bored with Goku.

Once the Dragon Balls are activated by Dende, the tension REALLY ramps up. This time Kuririn and Son Gohan are given three wishes but with Vegeta and Freeza separately rushing to get their wish for immortality in, they’ve got to urgently decide what to do.

Bringing Piccolo back to life was a masterstroke - instigated by Piccolo of course but still. With him back to life, the Dragon Balls on Earth return so they can bring the others back to life again, and now he’s joined the ranks against Freeza, it’s looking like a possible victory for the good guys. I did laugh at his entrance though - his pose was very, ahem, “badass”.

Freeza’s no pushover though and has more than a few tricks up his sleeve. He deploys one in this volume but there’s definitely more on the way. The fights in Dragon Ball have been increasingly excessive but I think the fight against Freeza will be the most insane one yet!

Volume 9 is a completely thrilling chapter in the Dragon Ball Z saga with Toriyama skilfully building up the dramatic pressure, piece by piece. A wonderful read and a superb comic.
The Quickie
The Quickie
NYPD Detective First Class, Lauren Stillwell, also a lawyer, suspects her husband, Paul, of having an affair. Their married life deteriorating, Lauren decides to have a one-night stand of her own. She chooses a young undercover narcotics detective, Scott Thayer, who has recently made flirty advances toward her. Lauren’s night of revenge soon turns deadly when she witnesses a brutal murder. To make matters worse, she is assigned as lead detective to solve the murder. From this point on, Lauren is involved in a series of moral missteps—delaying investigative progress, deception, and falsifying and suppressing evidence all under the guise of protecting herself and her husband.
The book starts off with a bang with more than enough intrigue to satisfy even the most critical mystery aficionados. Constant surprises keep the reader turning pages. I won’t go further into the story for fear of depriving the reader of these surprises. Patterson and Ledwidge enrich the story with their writing style providing humor and just the right mix of exciting narration and dialogue to bolster the story.
The authors bring Lauren Stillwell to life early on. The reader gets to know her as a thoughtful but hardnosed detective. Lauren is a lovable character in spite of her continuing ethical lapses and moral misdeeds which she feels forced to engage in to protect her family. Lauren is spunky, courageous, funny and spirited. The reader quickly falls in love with her.
I have read over 40 Patterson books—The Quickie is one of his very best. I rate it a 5 out of 5.
L'ospite (The Host in Italian Language)

[(Mary, Mary)] [by: Ed McBain]
[(Mary, Mary)] [by: Ed McBain]
This book never really seems to get going. There is too much time spent in the courtroom while basic questions about the crime and the suspect/defendant are left unasked.
After 200 pages, I realized that this book wasn't going to pick up or reveal any crucial information to make sense out of things until the very end.
As a result, the whole story rapped up very quickly in an unbelievable way and you are left wondering why no one could figure anything out earlier. Based on the ending, the detectives and attorneys appear rather incompetent.
I did enjoy parts of the book, however, and I think the plot needs to be unfolded at a different rate (not so slow in the beginning and not so fast at the end). I am a McBain fan and think that some of his other books are better written.
Harry Potter Double Feature: The Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2 [Blu-ray]
Harry Potter Double Feature: The Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2 [Blu-ray]
Not at all what is displayed in the pictures. So far the discs seem to work fine and I like the special features. As displayed, the discs are supposed to come in one package, instead they arrived in two separate cases, with completely different art work. The 2nd part of the movie has 3 discs (1 Blu-ray, 1 DVD, and 1 special features), and the little thing that hold the discs and flips back and forth was already broken when it arrived, and the plastic wrap didn’t seem to be completely sealed. They also each came with vouchers and codes for digital copies movies, which I was initially excited about, but both of the codes are long since EXPIRED (one expired in 2017 and the other in 2013). At this point it doesn’t seem worth it to return or exchange it since the discs are fine but it is TERRIBLE advertisement/subpar packaging and I am VERY ANNOYED about the expired Digital Copy codes. I literally just wanted to replace one damaged disc in my complete set of Harry Potter movies and got stuck with this. Very bad.

Harry Potter Years 1-5 Limited Edition Gift Set
Harry Potter Years 1-5 Limited Edition Gift Set
First off, let me say the actual HD DVDs are excellent, considering they're the theatrical cuts of the movies. They look great, have some nice extras, and remind me why I wish HD DVD had survived instead of Blu-ray Disc.

However, HD DVD is dead, and that's why I picked these up. In a word: Inexpensive. You won't get five Harry Potter movies in Blu-ray Disc format for the current going price of this gift set. This was an excellent buy. I still have my HD DVD player, and this is a good way to use it. HD is HD, and in 1080p, the Harry Potter movies look brilliant.

Now, as to the rest of the package, I'm impressed. It's got a lot of neat little toys and things. The whole thing is meant to look like Harry's chest, and the HD DVDs are packaged in little cases that look like Harry's school books.

While I appreciate what they were trying to do there, I have to say: I really wish they'd given me standard HD DVD cases instead. The little flip-open jewel cases are in two different sizes, and are definitely not shelf-friendly. I guess the designers of this gift set couldn't fathom anyone wanting to keep their discs anywhere but in the included chest-shaped box. It's really kind of a bummer, because now I'll have to dig up some HD DVD cases and print some cover art so I can store these with the rest of the collection which has to be on Blu-ray Disc (since they're not making HD DVD versions to finish out the collection).

The bookmarks are rather nice. Too nice, in fact. I hate to take them out of the case!

The Interactive DVD game is a nice bonus. While it's standard fare for this type of thing (kind of a "choose your own adventure" book in DVD format), it's fun and was essentially a freebie in this gift set.

The bonus features for all movies are on one disc. This is both good and bad. Good, because you're not swapping, but bad because when I do put these in their own HD DVD cases, I'll have to have one case for the special features for all the movies, which is kind of odd. Most movies come with their own special features disc.

The other negative to this Limited Edition Gift Set is the fact that Warner Bros didn't give us extended editions of the movies, like the ones they televise on Disney Channel and ABC Family. Instead, these are all straightforward theatrical cuts, flaws and all.

While I enjoy the theatrical cuts, there's just so much missing once you've seen the extended editions, and I don't understand why WB didn't sell them in "limited edition" sets like this. This would be the ideal set in which to include those editions, don't you think? I guess we'll have to wait until the whole eight-movie set is available before they offer the extended editions in a set like this.

These are minor quibbles though. Really, this is a brilliant set of HD DVDs, a bonus interactive game DVD, some nice toys and collectibles, and a cool box. The price is right, and I highly recommend it to any Harry Potter fan who still has an HD DVD player.

AND A NOTE TO WOULD-BE BUYERS:

The HD DVD version you see here DOES require a special player. You can't play these in your DVD player, even if you think it's a DVD player that plays HD (it doesn't). You can't play these in your Blu-ray Disc player, either. You need an "HD DVD" player, which is a discontinued format.

You can get HD DVD players here, or elsewhere. The XBox 360 can play HD DVDs if you purchase an add-on drive (you CANNOT play HD DVDs on the XBox 360's built-in DVD drive). Just please, please, please understand that HD DVD is not meant for DVD players. It's a separate technology, and frankly, I'm sick of seeing poor reviews of this EXCELLENT product because some people are too technologically-impaired to understand the difference between DVD and HD DVD, or HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc.

Once again: YOUR DVD PLAYER CAN NOT PLAY "HD DVD" DISCS!

Now that we've sorted all that out, I'll summarize the review by saying this: If you want Harry Potter films 1-5 in HD, this is the best, least expensive way to get them if you don't mind a lack of HD DVD cases.
Multiplayer

I love Uno, and I absolutely love Harry Potter, so obviously this seemed like a great investment. The cards look great, the game is pretty much the same:

*Except for that “New card” which truthfully you can just not use it, it doesn’t affect the game if you don’t and my roommates and I didn’t like the rule that it brought up to the gameplay so we made up another rule ourselves.*

The Rule we invented:
If a Player uses/places the card (The new 9 3/4 one) on the pile; that same person has to pick one of the cards that he/she is holding and press it against their chest so no one else can see it. The person who is supposed to go next has to guess the color of said card the person is hiding. It’s pretty simple, when guessing the person has to say Red (for Gryffindor), Blue (for Ravenclaw), Yellow (for Hufflepuff) or Green (for Slytherin). If the player guesses right the one who played the card has to draw 5 cards or viceversa. *The number of cards is subject to change, but we wanted to make that card a very high risk play*

*Also the card the person places against their chest is the color it’s going to be changed to since the original card is a color changing card.*

*Also if the person doesn’t have a color to hold against their chest. They cannot play the 9 3/4 card. They will need to draw a card from the deck first and then play it when they have a color. *

*We decided to change the rule because it doesn’t make sense and makes the game a little boring.*

Apart from that, the game is pretty good even though my box came pretty damaged.

Great gift for Harry Potter fans like me.

My niece, who's ten years old is visiting and I had this on her guest bed when she arrived. She loved it. I did wash it in cold water by hand and put in the drier and it came out nicely. For the price, it's very sweet. No complaints with the exception of the plastic it arrived in was sticky on the outside, so I had to handle with care while opening. Otherwise, I'm really glad I had it for her as a welcome gift.

There is no UL Logo printed anywhere on this unit labels nor on its packaging. I have my doubts that this is UL Listed (certified, approved or whatever you would like to call it) as claimed in the Item description. I wonder if the seller can provide a proof of UL certification.

Other than that, the unit has a sleek design and it is working fine so far (I won't know for sure until I have a power surge and/or the seller provide a UL Listed proof).

We are in the San Francisco Bay Area which has had unhealthy air quality ratings for the past week due to massive fires throughout California - - 200+ outside on the EPA 2.5 AQI particulate scale used on the news lately. "Unhealthy for the entire population" I got $400 in fancy air laser quality sensors, the same that are used by the weather service, and the little 22" GermGuardian. We closed up this air filter in the 400 square master bedroom, not expecting anything huge because this filter is only rated for 160 square feet, but hoping it would help somewhat. Running on high had indoor air qual down from 250+ to the 150's in 30 minutes, and in the low 100s "moderate" after a few hours. Screenshot of air qual readings attached. Note: indoor particulate count of "20" is equivalent to EPA AQI of 90. Note again we were using it in a space 3x bigger than its advertised range so I would say it's working quite as advertised. We bought 2 more to put in smaller rooms and I will try to remember to update this review.

I've waited a while to write this review so I'd get a proper chance to 'test drive it'.
The bottom line is that this is a superb product. It makes a strong, full flavoured, vividly coloured (but non-staining) drink. It's well worth leaving a decent time to brew in order to get a really complex, fully flavoured drink. In fact i often ad hot (85C) water and then leave it overnight to make a very strong extract, store that in the fridge and then dilute it with hot (85C) water in my cup.
The 'elephant' in the room is the description 'whole flowers'. I think that there has been a 'lost in translation' moment here and what is meant is 'whole petals'. For the substantial resealable bag is full of whole petals that are of very high quality - plus you can see that there is no dust / fragments.
So, yes, can highly recommend.

After discovering that Pony clamps are no more, I had to get something. This clamp is the same height as the Pony clamps I already own. The price was good.

Honestly, they are OK. The clamping feet are larger and they include clamping pads, which is awesome. The overall quality though? Meh. After a dozen uses the roll pins holding the clamp foot to the screw are no longer holding. I can drive a pin in to fix this as they give out, but...really?
They aren't GREAT. They are mediocre. Sadly, they are the best clamp of this type that I have been able to find that are the same height as the Pony clamps I already have.
