Respect / Until You Come Back To Me (That’S What I’M Gonna Do)(7In) (Rsd)
This cd is a very good compilation. Featuring some of Aretha's biggest hits. Chain of Fools, and Respect are known the world round. This cd also features such classics as Baby, I love you and I Never Loved a Man The Way that I Love You. I personally enjoy Aretha's version of te Smokey Robinson and The Miracle's classic Tears of A Clown and the Band's anthem The Wait. This cd shows the Queen in all her glory. All Hail the Queen of Soul... Aretha Franklin
Together Through Life
Together Through Life
The "Deluxe" Together Through Life has the standard album plus a sticker, poster, and two bonus CDs. The sticker and poster are worthless; the former merely shows the album title, and the latter the lame cover photo. One CD is the "Friends and Neighbors" episode of Dylan's popular XM radio show. A typically enjoyable example of the program, it has an astonishing variety of music mixed with Dylan's lively, informative, and often amusing commentary and quotes. It is a good introduction to the show for anyone unfamiliar with it but of little value to those who are. The other CD is also virtually worthless -- an outtake from landmark film No Direction Home lasting only a few minutes. It has an interview with Dylan's little-known first manager, Roy Silver, and a slightly different audio take of "Blowin' in the Wind." The segment has no revelations, and it is easy to see why it was excluded, but hard-cores may find it somewhat interesting. All must decide if this makes the "Deluxe" edition worth purchasing over the standard; in most cases, it certainly does not.

As for the album itself, though not on par with his three prior later career masterpieces, Together Through Life is another worthy Bob Dylan album. Fans should certainly get his major albums first, but anyone interested in him should eventually check it out, while significant differences from his other albums mean it may possibly appeal to those not usually keen on him.

It is immediately clear that Together is far more modest than other recent Dylan albums; it lacks their epic feel and is indeed only about two thirds of their length. One might almost see it as Dylan kicking against his Grand Old Man of Meaningful Songs title. Songs are short and to the point; there is no attempt at epic or panoramic music. More notably, there are few words by Dylan's standard, and what we get is unusually simple and straightforward, stripped of imagery and grand themes. They generally focus on love and lust in familiar terms and are doubtless highly influenced by co-writer and Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. Those who value Dylan's profundity may be disappointed and perhaps even curse Hunter; it is surely no surprise that the only song written by Dylan alone ("This Dream of You") is easily the best.

All this suggests that Together has little merit, but this is not so, though it is undeniably minor. The concision and punchiness of the words are quite intriguing, if limited, and Dylan's vocals retain their latter-day strength. One would have to look very hard indeed for another singer of his age with such emotional vitality and diversity. "Life Is Hard" has a surprisingly nimble falsetto, but his gifts, as ever, have nothing to do with hitting and holding notes or having range. Instead, his phrasing remains impeccable, and he puts the songs forth with verve and vigor few can even approach; this is particularly important, given the lyrics' unusual nature.

Music is probably the biggest point of contention. Aside from "Life Is Hard," an acoustic take on Dylan's recent Rat Pack balladry fixation, it is essentially split between accordion-dominated Tex Mex and Chicago blues. The former is a great surprise; Dylan has hardly ever used accordion, and never for an extended time, and had dabbled in Tex-Mex only on 1976's Desire. Accordion - courtesy of Los Lobos' David Hidalgo, who also plays guitar - is practically the lead instrument on several cuts. This takes some getting used to, as does the musical genre generally, but grew on me significantly, as it likely will on most. The blues entries are far easier for fans of latter-day Dylan to appreciate. If less than revolutionary, they feature some fiery playing from Heartbreaker Mike Campbell and three members of Dylan's crack touring band. A few cuts mix the two styles to interesting, if somewhat jarring, effect.

"Beyond Here Lies Nothin'" is a good example. Essentially a take on the classic Otis Rush blues "All Your Love" with accordion instead of harmonica, it is a high energy opener with several notable short guitar solos, blazing trumpet, blaring organ, and powerful drums. It is also a good introduction to the lyrical style, beginning as simply as possible with "Oh well, I love you pretty baby."

"Life Is Hard" will not convince those turned off by Dylan's recent ballads but is excellent for those who like them. With beautiful music and a supremely touching vocal, it is highly affecting despite words that are occasionally too clichéd.

"My Wife's Home Town" is another harmonica-cum-accordion blues update, this time of the classic "I Just Want to Make Love to You," and even credits Willie Dixon. Well-done if hardly world-shattering, it epitomizes Together's lyrical modesty but at least has some amusing lines. The fiery vocal improves it substantially.

"If You Ever Go to Houston" may be the most accordion-dominated track - probably too much so for many, especially as the riff is very simplistic. A Wild West ballad and Texas ode, it is one of the slightest cuts but still enjoyable.

Further proof that no one does torch songs like Dylan, "Forgetful Heart" mixes things up somewhat with dramatic, Neil Young-esque electric guitar and other musical nuances.

"Jolene" is the most uptempo song, with a killer riff and some short, incendiary guitar solos. It is nice to hear Dylan and company rip it up, though the asinine words will disappoint many.

"This Dream of You" is Together's closest thing to a masterpiece - and it is tantalizingly close. Flat out mariachi, it shows that Dylan can quickly master nearly every genre; whatever one thinks of the accordion elsewhere, here it approaches sublime, while the bittersweet lyrics and mournful croon match it. This is a piece of emotional vitality only Dylan could create and has the album's best lyrics by a considerable margin.

"Shake Shake Mama" may be the most minor cut but is an enjoyable, rollicking blues.

"I Feel a Change Coming On" is probably the second best entry. A weeper with fine lyrics and excellent, highly creative drums, it may be Together's best vocal and is a worthy canon addition.

"It's All Good" is another accordion-laced classic blues send-up, reminiscent of Slim Harpo's "Shake Your Hips" among others. The words are very good, some of Dylan's best satire in years, and possibly contain veiled political references. It is a zany, freewheelin', and effective close to an unusual album.

All told, anyone expecting another masterpiece will be disappointed, and Dylan easily has at least a dozen albums that are much better, but this is very respectable, especially considering Dylan's age and how much great music he has already made.
Bob Dylan - The Little Black Songbook: Revised & Expanded Edition
Bob Dylan - The Little Black Songbook: Revised & Expanded Edition
There are unfortunately some glaring omissions in this book, some key Dylan songs are not included, like With God On Our Side, Tombstone Blues, Buckets of Rain, Highway 61 Revisited, It takes a lot to laugh it takes a train to cry, Highway 51 Blues, Pretty Peggy-O, Baby let me follow you down. Instead, a bunch of throw away outtakes and filler material have been included. The author made a poor selection, and I can't give it more than 2 stars.

If you want to watch full games and film go to NFL Gamepass. The show is rated Mature. I am tired of all these people who want their children to enjoy a product put out for mature people and give bad reviews because of it, not helpful. Let them watch cartoons or something. And if you wanted this to be a documentary on the concussions of the Arizona Cardinals, sorry to disappoint, there is other things out there for that.
Now if you want to see what a full season and postseason is like for a team in the NFL (not just meaningless preseason games) this is it right here... You can feel the heartbreak, the victories, the pain of the players. It gives you another perspective of what the game means to a lot of people. It also allows you to see deeper into who these players are, some people complain about the cookie baking, cooking, and changing diapers, well I say we get enough of the bad apples on the news and everyone is all over these guys when they screw up, it feels nice to see that they are real men, with real families, and a lot of heart.
As a die hard Cardinals fan:
I love this team, and I really wish Larry gets his ring. No man deserves it more than him in the NFL.
Marvel Rubie's Men's Universe Classic Muscle Chest Deadpool Costume
Marvel Rubie's Men's Universe Classic Muscle Chest Deadpool Costume
Bought this costume to wear to a movie-themed works' summer do. Not content with ordering a padded costume to walk across Manchester in 30+ degree heat, I also ordered the "weapon pack". Thank god the mask covers up the embarrassment of a middle-aged man walking around in public wearing plastic swords. I got A LOT of strange/bemused looks. What they couldn't see thankfully (but most probably suspected) was that I was sweating my nuts off in it. As I stood smugly, beer in hand, at the work's do, in walked a colleague ... in the full theatrical (leather!) version of this. It was like M&S costumes meets B&M costumes. The only consolation was the heat which forced my colleague to go change before passing out due to dehydration. The costume is great. But you get what you pay for. The weapon pack is also impossible to use once strapped to your back. I also ordered the utility belt which was great for storing money/keys/phone in :) and better and more useful than the printed piece of material that comes with it that you just tie around your waist. All-in-all, reasonably good value, but unless you could do with losing a bit of weight, then think twice about wearing it in warm weather! :)

Ranma 1/2 (2-in-1 Edition), Vol. 19 (19)

Annie's Vegan Deluxe Rich & Creamy Shells & Vegan Cheddar 11 oz
Annie's Vegan Deluxe Rich & Creamy Shells & Vegan Cheddar 11 oz
Ok: in search of a good vegan Mac & cheese I’ve tried daiya, Annie’s gluten free vegan (the kid looking version) and this here deluxe version. Which I’ve originally given top reviews for.

This beats daiya by a landslide in terms of taste (daiya tastes too chemicaly).

I will agree with some of the other reviews about this tasting too buttery & herb-y. I also had problems with it not being enough sauce for a creamy texture to my liking.

BUT AH-AHH I have evilly cooked up a solution.

It’s expensive & wasteful but worth it:
1 box of this stuff
3 ;or 2 boxes of the gluten free kiddie kind

After boiling the noodles I added my favorite unsweetened vegan milk and 2 of the powdered cheese packets then added the creamy sauce. Worked like a charm.

Creamy, “cheesey” Mac & cheese complete!

I won’t be totally wasteful & give those extra noodles to a family member but I’ll have to find an eBay smuggler for those powdered cheese packets for the future!

Daiya looses, Annie’s Wins!

Guns of the Timberlands
This book is in my top 5 of L'amour's works. The build-up to the climax is suitably gripping enough that I decided to finish the book in a single sitting. The romance here sounds similar to the way it happens in a lot of his other books but it still somehow seems refreshing in this one. And as one reviewer points out below, L'amour doesn't ramble. The supporting characters are developed convincingly to the point that I actually started caring about a couple of them. I thought the title of the book was somewhat poignant.
Riding for the Brand: Stories
Riding for the Brand: Stories
This set contains two now out of print audio books: "Four Card Draw" and "The Turkey Feather Riders." All three are well done with a great cast of characters and special effects. The audio is crisp and clear, easily heard in an automobile's noisy environment.
Four Card Draw. Louis L'Amour starts this audio volume with a short discourse on period books about the old west. "Four Card Draw" is told first person by Allen Ring, a gambler who wins the Red Rock Ranch in Arizona. He is told the ranch is haunted by someone who was murdered there. That someone was one of the three Haslet brothers, owners of a neighboring ranch, who are out for revenge. Allen walks right into the middle of a frying pan and ends up fighting for his life!
Riding For The Brand. Jed Asberry wins a poker game only to find himself robbed by the angry losers. They dump him in the desert with no clothes, left to die. Days later, on his last legs, he stumbles across three recently killed people (two men and a woman)... in the middle of the desert. Taking clothes, guns, and papers from one of the men, Jed becomes Micheal Latch. Micheal was on his way to inherit a ranch, so Jed decides to assume this role. He finds himself up to his neck in serious shooting trouble as someone else is willing to murder to get the property!
The Turkey Feather Riders. Louis L'Amour starts this story by giving a short discourse on cowboys and the cattle business as it was in the 1860's through 1880's (and now). Jim Sandefer is the forman for a New Mexico ranch. His boss, Grey Bowen, makes a sudden visit (after years of being away) with his daughter, Elaine, and some new guests: Rose and Lee Martin. Grey wants to marry Rose, but Jim discovers that she and her son are up to something that doesn't smell right! Then the shooting begins!
Well worth the purchase price. Run Time: 180 minutes.

MW
MW
This is the story of the two survivors of an "accident." In the early `60s, the United States stashed away on a tiny Japanese island, with Japanese cooperation, of course, some deadly gas (Tezuka calls it "MW,"--hence the title)--we really did---but in Tezuka's manga some leaks out, killing all 800 inhabitants of the island. The survivors, Iwao Garai, 15, and Michio Yuki, 9, are protected from the gas because they are sheltered in a cave. When they come out the next morning, it is to an island of the dead: men, women, children, birds and beasts--every sentient being. The gekiga (a manga for adults, which MW is, in spades) tells us about the rest of their lives, (almost...) beginning 15 years later. We find out about the events on the island in flashbacks.

What happened to the rest of the gas? (The cover-up has of course been enormous.) And what will Garai and Yuki (now, respectively, a Catholic priest and a loan executive at a Tokyo bank) do about it? Garai is haunted by his memory of the dead, and Yuki is simply a madman: he inhaled some of the gas, which gives him occasional attacks of bad health, but worse, it warped his brain, robbing him of every speck o conscience, so that he takes great joy in using, kidnapping, torturing and killing people. We find out his reason--just as insane as the acts themselves--in the second third of the manga. Yuki always confesses his crimes to Father Garai, who--and we don't understand why, at first-- never tells on him.

Yuki and Garai have (since when?) an uneasy homosexual relationship (Yuki is Tezuka's only true homosexual main character). It's very hard to hate our arch-villain Yuki: he's cute as a button , very smart, has a great sense of humor, and really loves Garai (although he loves nobody else on earth). Garai--until the second part of the manga, when he begins to develop a backbone--is a rather poor creature, although he's a big, handsome fellow, not being able to honestly follow any part of his heart. But it must be difficult to be in love with God and a sociopath at the same time. He lies to his father confessor, the police, Yuki, and himself. Of course Yuki lies to evrybody.

There are many fascinating characters in this manga: the reporter to whom Garai finally tells the story of the island, the public prosecuto0r, who has a face like a misshapen dinner plate, but whose brain is in fine order, Yuki's brother, an onnagata (a man who plays women's parts in Kabuki theater), who looks as much like Yuki as the second pea in a pod. Mistaken identity is common in Kabuki; it occurs here too. Some of Tezuka's best drawing is here--the faces of the dead in the reporter's article, Yuki's disquisition on...Garai's day. There is all you could wish for of political corruption, self-sacrifice, ugly violence, sadness, humor, anger, and occasional very kinky sex (which I have not mentioned). The ending is worthy of the darkest Hitchcock.

The translation (from the French I read) is occasionally disappointing, The French is softer in tone, but--is the French, or the English closer to the original Japanese? I don't know. Sometimes the drawing is too stark. (It'a 30 years since the serialization....what are we looking at?) Perhaps ....an "18+"would be more appropriate than a "l6+" as a rating. The sex is not explicit, nor is the plot just an excuse for it, but a few scenes would be shocking to some, and there is the occasional use of the right word in the wrong place at the wrong time (being used to American films, this really surprised me). I wouldn't want to keep anyone from reading it, but more conservative human beings might see the equivalent of an "X"-----and think, "I think I'll sit this one out."
Riders of the Purple Sage (Annotated) LARGE PRINT
Riders of the Purple Sage (Annotated) LARGE PRINT
What can one say about "Riders of the Purple Sage"? For as long as man has dreamed of the west, he has written about it or sought it out for himself. Yes, James Fennimore Cooper wrote about the "west". There were the Dime Novels and the Penny Dreadfuls of the 1800's written by such as Ned Buntline. Then an Easterner named Owen Wister created a character called "The Virginian" and Zane Grey had already written "Heritage of the Desert" but "Riders of the Purple Sage" would immortalize both the author and the genre of "westerns". From then on every "western" would be compared to this one. The ironic part is: Zane Grey never considered them to be "westerns"; they were romances, romantic adventures, romantic novels. And to be totally accurate, the word, "western" did not exist at the time this book was written; it did not come into use until 1927 at the earliest, so to insist Zane Grey was a "western" writer is suspect, at best. But "Riders of the Purple Sage" has everything a person has come to know and understand that belongs in a story of the west--the taciturn gunfighter; the woman in distress fighting a losing battle; great scenery; fast horses; and evil men. Yet "Riders" is more than that. It has sub-plots upon sub-plots that keep the reader wondering what is going to happen next, and this book "fills the bill". And, what most people don't know or realize today, Zane Grey wrote quite often from a woman's viewpoint, and does so in this book. At the time of Zane Grey's greatest popularity more than half of his readership were women, and he was published in such magazines as, Cosmopolitan, Colliers, and Ladies Home Journal. If you have never read a "western" I whole-heartedly urge you to try this one.
Roping Lions in the Grand Canyon
Roping Lions in the Grand Canyon
Roping Lions in the Grand Canyon is Zane Grey's telling of his first adventure out west with Buffalo Jones in 1907 and the antecedent of the book, The Young Lion Hunter, which was fiction; this one is fact and uses information Zane Grey had written in The Last of the Plainsmen, the true story of Buffalo Jones. This book was dedicated to the Boy Scouts of America and ZG writes, "I am hoping that it may influence boys to a keener love and appreciation of all the wonderful outdoors of their native land." In this book you will find not only Buffalo Jones but the many other westerners who influenced ZG and instilled in him the "code of the west". The lion dog, Don, also plays an important role in this book. What a wonderful inspiration this book is to all of us who have grown up in a time in which we can still relate to what ZG is writing about. Perhaps if these books were made available in school libraries today, our world would be a much better place to live--they instill values still needed to today.

For Your Eyes Only
For Your Eyes Only
This book is exactly what it claims to be: The author says, “It is not a biography of Ian Fleming… nor is it a biography of James Bond… rather, it is a personal investigation into the intersection of two lives, one real and one fictional.” It is not a coffee table book that outlines every Bond movie, and it is not an autobiography of Ian Fleming.

It is, however, a treatise on how Ian Fleming’s life was shaped by his experiences both in childhood and during his participation in the war effort, and how in turn James Bond’s character was based to some degree on Fleming’s life. It begins with Fleming as a child and describes elements from his formative years, which included a hero father who dies in the first world war, a domineering mother who both pushed him and protected him, a bout of failures in a variety of schools, and a poor sense of direction and possibly some rather loose morals. It then describes how his life changed and gained some measure of focus when he entered service with the clandestine activity during the second world war. Years before the war ended, he told his friends that he was going to write a spy novel that would be better than anything written so far.

The book reveals how Bond’s life in many regards was an extension of Fleming’s, but was also an amalgamation of many of the people Fleming worked with. Likewise, it describes how various well known and loved characters found in the books and movies (M, Q, Moneypenny) and even various baddies (Blofeld, Goldfinger) were rooted in the personalities or characteristics of numerous Fleming acquaintances. As it turns out, some people were flattered to be included in his books, and some were less pleased, and in fact a lawsuit occurred due to the naming of a particular villain.

Of chief concern are the early Bond books. The later movies are mentioned rarely, and the earlier movies are only touched on, mainly to show how the movie Bond differs from the book Bond. The paper versions were indeed heavy smokers, heavy drinkers, and indiscriminate womanizers (like Fleming himself), but the celluloid versions were in various ways far worse or far better. (Interestingly, the book Bonds kill relatively few bad guys, while their film relatives blow away more than one hundred.) If Fleming’s life was cut short by his vices and his lack of concern for his own health, then Bond, for the same reasons, conversely became immortal.

This book, though far from being all inclusive, and certainly not the type of book that describes every single Bond book and movie, is a must for anyone who wants to see behind the scenes and learn why Fleming and Bond are the way they are and how the two are in many ways cut from the same cloth. This isn’t an “exciting” book, and at times somewhat repetitive, but it is quite informative, and is yet another work by Ben MacIntyre which displays his ability to thoroughly research a topic and make history readable.

Was looking for a palette cleanser after binging a bunch of random TV, and this short really surprised me with how much it makes you care about the characters and the truly excellent mixing of filming techniques. I'd watch a feature length film of this in a heartbeat. Kudos to the artists involved.
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 - PC
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 - PC
Here's my review of the Lego Harry Potter Game, I put 4 starts for my review because overall it was a great game to play. I just focus on more of the negative aspects because i'm nit-picky about accuracy.

I have to say this probably is my 2nd favorite Lego game of all that I've played (Lego Star Wars being my #1). I also own the Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, Lego Batman and Star Wars: the Complete Saga. Lego Harry Potter was challenging and fun to play, much like the Star Wars game. IMO the Indiana Jones and Batman Games were too easy; however, i'm 35 years old and the games were meant for kids around age 10, so I can't complain too much.

I completed the game (100%) yesterday while my girlfriend was watching her "True Blood". I hate vampire shows so i was happy to play the game and miss out of that stuff (sorry if you like them). I got the game a couple days after it was released (around July 7th) and finished yesterday.

My only complaint (which has nothing to do with strategy or game play) would be that the music seemed to follow mostly the John Williams movie scores (even though the 4th movie had a different composer). Even though they did mix in some (very small amount) of the Patrick Doyle music in Year 4, most of the time the Year 4 level resorted back to the Williams Scores. And, the music was mixed in such a way that it didn't really follow the stories as accurately as they could have. They seemed to do a much better job with the other games than this one, meaning the music in other games seemed to follow the story very accurately, scene by scene. Whereas, in this game they sometimes did and sometimes didn't. But i'm a huge geek about film scores, and probably only a handful of people would notice that.

I had a really hard time with one of the levels at the very beginning, I couldn't figure out how to get into the girls bathroom to follow the Troll in Year 1. So I must admit I had to look for a walk-through online to figure that one out. A lot of times in the game, you'll be going through levels so fast that you'll miss something so obvious and pass it right by. That happened to me on the level "Restricted Section" in Year two as well. Also, finding the characters that have the "Dark Magic" ability was a bit of a challenge, I didn't know that Snape had that ability, but I guess Snape having the dark magic does kind of make sense.

My only other complaint would be this...I wished that they would have spent more time figuring out a better layout for Hogwarts. I know they did it in such a way as to be more organized but I wished it would've been more accurate to how it's laid-out in the films/book. For example, all the entrances to the house dorms/chambers are on one level, unlike how it's described in the books and seen on film. Also, Dumbledore's Office is way at the top of the moving staircases, which is totally different from where it is in the books/films. This may be my inner geek coming out again, but i feel it would further enhance the game if Hogwarts' floor plans were more accurate to the books/films. Yes, I know, the game is organized in such a way so you can more easily find/remember where certain things. Just me nit-picking i guess.

I can't wait until the 2nd installment!

"If I was a betting man", my prediction would be that they release a 2nd installment (years 5-7) as a single release, then 6-12 months later, realese a "Complete" Saga (like Star Wars) with updated and revised levels. Although, they might do it like Indian Jones did (which would suck) and revise all the previous years and then add new years in a single release. I hope they do it more like my first thought. I won't buy the revised Indiana Jones because when I read how they changed all the previous game's levels, it sounded like it was worse than the original.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed my review. It's well worth playing. From what I've heard, it's way better than the EA versions.

Note about Amazon.com pre-ordering: if you ever pre-order anything from Amazon, be aware that you will receive it in the mail the day the item goes on sale, not a few days after like it usually states in the shipping estimate. I've pre-ordered about a dozen items over the years and they always show up on my doorstep the day they go on sale, regardless of shipping preference. However, I usually go with the 3-5 day shipping always, which costs a little more. What kind of stinks about this case, is that I wasn't there to receive the package and it required a signature. I wish they would not do that. It's annoying since i work every day and won't be there to pick it up.
Harry Potter Magical Creatures Coloring Book
Harry Potter Magical Creatures Coloring Book
There are 3 things I don't like about this coloring book.

1- pictures are printed on both sides of the page. This means you have to be careful about what you use to color (markers/pens bleed through, colored pencils can make indentations to the other side).

2- Some of the pictures are drawn across 2 facing pages. These don't look nice because there is a gap in the middle of the picture where the pages meet.

3- The book does not lay flat, so it's hard to color the edges sometimes, and if you're in the front or back of the book (as opposed to the middle), you have to hold the book open while you color sometimes.

I do like the pictures and think they are fun to color. I just wish they had put more thought into the actual format of the physical book.
Criss Angel Mindfreak
Criss Angel Mindfreak
Will try to review the DVD's rather than Criss Angel, but I will say one sentence about the man: An amazing performer who--among David Copperfield, Lance Burton, David Blaine, and Penn&Teller--has done for the art of magic what Tiger Woods (ahem) did for golf which is to say he's made it exciting to watch again. The set's box comes with a bit of a cheesy pop-up based on C.A.'s infamous buzz-sawed-in-half routine. I can't say I've gotten to watch all the DVD's, but I did pop all of them in to verify they weren't damaged. It's interesting to see his evolution across 4 seasons and then some. They say the set contains the last 5 seasons (2010 and he's currently in season 6) and I'll have to take their word for it. I bought the set primarily because I didn't have time for A&E every week but I definitely want to see all the tricks, especially the smaller production "street" stuff which are more impressive illusions to me than the big "escape" stunts. There's about 3 DVD's for seasons 1-4 and 3 more DVD's of "theme" material like the 5 Lives of Criss Angel. Fifteen altogether. Sad to say, as has been reported by others, there is no Halloween special DVD. DVD 14 = DVD 13. Bummer. The fault of A&E's disc producer I imagine and not C.A. Still, the set is a must-buy for anyone who considers themselves an afficionado of magic. Mindfreak! Mindfreak! Are you ready?

So like the other reviews have stated, as of January 24, 2018, there are no refill cartridges available anywhere online (not even on Kodak's website). I placed an order for them with BH Photo & Adorama (they're both back ordered), and I'm hoping they'll restock and arrive in the next month or so. To some extent, it's not all that surprising because it seems the Mini 2 only launched recently. That said, it's REALLY annoying that Amazon recommends a bundle with cartridges that DO NOT FIT! (seriously, what the heck is up with that, Amazon!)

That said, the device itself still functions pretty well. Getting it to sync with your phone is a little bit tricky at first, but I managed to get it to connect without much issue. I noticed that photos taken with low lighting are printed a little darker than they appear on your mobile device, but photos taken outdoors or in good lighting are pretty closely replicated in the print. The app lets you adjust exposure, though, so I'm not all that concerned with slightly darker prints.

I had contemplated a couple other options that use ZINK technology, but ultimately opted for the Kodak Mini 2 because of it's reliable printing technology. The pictures do come out really clear and pretty accurate in color (minus the exposure issue at times). If I had known the Mini 2 cartridges were unavailable, I would've gotten the older version of this (Kodak Mini). I just like the smaller size and design of the Mini 2 when I made my final decision. So if you don't want to deal with waiting for cartridges to come back in stock, check the Kodak Mini out!

Prextex 150 Party Balloons 12 Inch 10 Assorted Rainbow Colors - Bulk Pack of Strong Latex Balloons for Party Decorations, Birthday Parties Supplies or Arch Decor - Helium Quality
I give honest reviews because I like to review other customer reviews before I purchase . We liked the balloons very much but they had an odor.......I have a keen sense of smell....very keen! I sat them out side in a box in the air and the odor was better. I don't think I would have used them if we hadn't had our electric balloon blower.
The colors are vibrant, nice size and appearance and while inflating them, they didn't burst easy like other balloons often do and even a week later, they are still inflated. The price is great....lots of balloons for the money. So, I would purchase this product again and recommend purchase. Please see about the smell.
The Best of Carly Simon
The Best of Carly Simon
In the early 70s, a blend of jazz/folk/rock emerged on the East Coast. Although having folk elements, it was not part of the 60s folk revival and was distinct from both the folk/rock movement in Britain and the 'Beatles meets folk' West Coast sound. It was jazzier and more metropolitan in style. Its most famous exponents are Carly Simon and Carole King.

This album presents a good selection of Simon's early 70s work. A more comprehensive collection, spanning her entire career, can be found on "Anthology".

If you like Carole King you will probably like Carly Simon, and vice versa. (And you can add the 70s work of Neil Sedaka, King's contemporary and friend, to that list). King appears on one track here, 'Attitude Dancing', albeit that is the weakest track on the album. Simon's then husband, James Taylor shares vocals with her on "Mockingbird". Many reviewers seem to have found "Mockingbird" too quirky or 'goofy', but I say it's a masterpiece, and the album's best track by far. Although not penned by her, it is redolent of "Itsy-Bitsy Spider", that she sings over the credits in the movie "Heartburn". If you have not heard it, you should. Taylor also plays guitar on several other tracks.

Carly Simon has a great voice and is a considerable musical talent. Her lyrics lack the poetic depth of James Taylor, Joni Mitchell or Bob Dylan, and she cannot summon up the soulfulness of Joni Mitchell or Judy Collins, but the total package - singer, songwriter and musician - remains a great and unique pleasure.

4 Ports Charging Station for Wii Remotes, TechKen Controller Charger Dock Station with 4 Bonus 2800mAh Rechargeable Batteries (Updated Version)
The chargers use thin metal 'staple' connectors while the stand has cutouts for wide metal strips. This actually is problematic as getting all the batteries to charge at once, or getting them to charge for a length of time, or at all even, can become a huge pain the the rear. I have decent luck with the Wii more charge spots more than the battery only spots, but even then it's a battle, to the point I have a red/blue rave show from it constantly connecting/disconnecting. When the little staple wires connect, it charges pretty well, but only *if* they connect.

No idea on battery life though, I refuse to review new batteries as it's more important to know how fast they deteriorate from new. They don't have any issues going into a official Nintendo wii-mote at all, perfect fit.
Noche más oscura Juego de miniaturas
Noche más oscura Juego de miniaturas
Purchased the "improved" second edition set and was very disappointed. These are perfect for immediate placement on a shelf, where they would remain untouched. These figures felt cheaply made and brittle. The faces of the figures were blank and undefined. Practically every character base (the piece they stand/pose on) was warped; thin and regular sunlight on a porch/stoop could melt these. Each figure who carried a weapon (sword, staff, etc), their item was bent or curled. Beware the marketing materials - they use design graphics (which look nice and sharp) to promote this product instead of *actual* photos (which would, I imagine, show the severe flaws of these figures). To the touch, the miniatures feel brittle and unusable. Compared to Reaper Minis or the D&D licensed products, these figures are underwhelming. On the other hand, if you are looking for unplayable miniatures and want to buy for display purposes *only*, I could see where this product could be a win for you. Painted professionally and left untouched behind thick glass, you may very well have something with potential here.

Sweet Dreamers, Ewan The Shushing Sheep - Crib Sleep Soother, Baby White Noise and Shusher Sound Machine with Cry Sensor and Night Light
I love this lamb, I just wish there were separate buttons for the modes instead of just one. I also wish there was an option for continuous play instead of just the 20 minute option. There is a cry response mode but my baby squirms and fusses a lot before the lamb hears noise and turns on again
Which is sometimes too late. It’s a little annoying to have to push it back on every 20 minutes to keep baby sleeping peacefully.

OPPO Find X2 (Ocean, 12GB RAM, 256GB Storage) with No Cost EMI/Additional bank Offers
Display is top notch. Video Streaming is an absolute pleasure using this phone. Ultra Vision Engine and Dolby Atmos stands out.
Charging from 0 to 100 in around 45 mins.
Photos were good. Videos were far better than I expected . Auto Focussing speed and Stability were the highlights.
UI is clean . Color Os is definetely getting better.
No heating issues as of now. I got a clear 7 hrs ON-screen time with heavy usage On 120 Hz , Auto Fhd-Qhd .
It was just a day of use and I'll update my thoughts after spending more time.
EDIT -
I have attatched camera samples .
After 3 weeks of use -
1. Display is one of the best.
2. Video streaming- I had one of the best experience using Netflix and Youtube.
3. Charging and battery - The battery lasts 7 hrs on heavy usage constantly and can be fully charged under 40 minutes . The battery standby is also good.
4. Camera is good and it depends on the individuals use , as to what that person demands from the cam. I had a good experience with it. Front camera was really good and gave decent selfies.I did observe a dynamic range difference when shifting from normal to ultrawide sensor.
5. No heating issues during heavy usage and charging . But did observe some while recording video . The regions around the rear cam gets heated up during recording. But that was not much of an issue .
6. UI was okayish but could definitely improve. I was using Oneplus 5 for 3 years and shift from oxygen to color OS was observable. One hand mode was of great use .
7. The curved edges and design are beautiful . The case sent along with the phone was also good. The charger wires could have been of better quality. (There is also an unavailability of other quality cases for the phone.)
8. I had been waiting to buy Oneplus 8 pro but due to its unavailability and display issues , I went for this one and I do not regret about it . Its almost identical to what Oneplus has to offer except for the smaller ultrawide camera sensors and an increase in price by 5k . The price would have been perfect at around 55k-60k.
Final Verdict -
It depends on the persons preference . If you are a person who would want a premium feel smartphone with excellent display, video streming experience , good design, good camera setup and fast charging : Go for this one . It would definitely win your hearts - a quality product from Oppo.

XTRONS Car Auto Play Mini Dongle USB Android Auto Receiver Adapter for iPhone & Android Smartphone Work with Android Car Stereo GPS Navigation DVD Radio Player
I was none too happy at the prospect of having to put my Android phone into USB debug mode or developer mode to get this to work, but that seemed to be the way all of the dongles on the market operated. I was EXTREMELY PLEASED to find out I didn't have to do any of that. Both my Google Pixel and my iPhone plugged in and worked without any issues.

Finding and installing the initial APK was a little shady though. Downloading anything from just an IP address these days is just weird when domains are so cheap and easy to manage.
TP-Link Archer AX11000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 Router
TP-Link Archer AX11000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 Router
Amazing router when it works. Maybe I got a lemon.
I got this router at a different store, but I wanted to share my experience here.
I am testing this with my 1gb plan.
I tried every single possible configuration, which there aren't many. For some reason, depending on which channel I use, it can take minutes or hours to suddenly reduce the signal power; so I can't get the speeds I'm paying for.
I am fully equipped. I got my new modem with 2.5gb port and my ax200 antenna.
When it works I am able to always get over 1.1gb down, sometimes over 1.2gb down, so the router is obviously capable.
The higher the channel the fastest it fails.
I ruled out everything, modem, antenna, drivers...
I doesn't matter how I configure the router. If I reboot the router everything goes back to normal, but I don't even have to reboot. A single change on the wireless settings, even on a different band unrelated with the band I'm using with my PC; any single little change will trigger the wireless connection to refresh itself, and it goes back to normal, for minutes or hours as mentioned.
I'm usually getting between 1.3 to 1.9gb of link speed. Being most of the time at around 1.6 to 1.7gb. Rarely saw it at 2.4gb. It works if stays like that. The problem comes when the speed links get stuck at 1gb and below, and never goes back to normal. Then I can't even reach 700mb down.
I'm on the latest firmware 1.1.1 Build 20200716 rel.84595(5553)
I don't think new firmware will change anything.
If you don't have a 1gb plan you might don't notice anything wrong with the router, so this review is directed to those who have a 1gb plan or are planning to have it, and want the full speeds they're paying for.
As I said, I might got a lemon, but it is something to consider when making your purchase if you are in a similar situation, upgrading the network around your house.

I love Läkerol- been enjoying them for ~15 years now...but this latest batch I ordered indicates they’re manufactured in Slovakia now...and they don’t taste quite the same. I know they changed sweeteners somewhat recently but I don’t think that’s it entirely...something is different. So far I notice it most in the Original so just FYI!

They do what a filter is suppose to do. I don't have equipment to test them against others, but I have tried other brands, and to me they do their job better. I will buy them again.
