Samsung Rising: The Inside Story of the South Korean Giant That Set Out to Beat Apple and Conquer Tech
Samsung Rising: The Inside Story of the South Korean Giant That Set Out to Beat Apple and Conquer Tech
In a very detailed account (close to 400 pages), Cain provides an excellent view into the inner workings of Samsung - a company that perennially seems to be mentioned only if the lead story is Apple. With his unique access to former and current executives and employees of Samsung and its partners and his own reporting over the years, Cain not only provides a breezy, detailed, and informative look at the corporate dramas internal to Samsung.

While the Lee clan is center to the narrative, Cain is able to also provide an informative read of the region's history, rivalries, and political tribulations. Perhaps no other region has the fate of a company is inextricably tied to the wellbeing, pride, and ambition of an entire country.

One also gets to get glimpses of various management philosophies, flavor-of-the-month marketing tactics, cultural barriers of building a global brand, and how personal ambition conflated with national identity drove strategies across various companies, particularly at Samsung.

While the author succeeds in providing a detailed look at the key personalities, their motivations, and a somewhat time-linear narrative of key events, he does not make any attempt to contextualize those with a richer description of the technological breathroughs or other socio-economic factors that were driving business trends at the same time. Moreover, there is very little analysis per-se; no second-guessing of key decisions or assessment of leaderships - the author lets his interviewees provide that and he does a fantastic job of abstracting and synthesizing those. In the end, Cain achieves what Samsung probably wants more than anything - see it as a global company in its own right and not just as an Apple competitor. An excellent read for anyone interested in management, technology and/or leadership.

Jazz age! Hot Sounds of the 20s and 30s
Jazz age! Hot Sounds of the 20s and 30s
When I was a child my parents had a record by the Alberts, Temperance Seven and the Bonzo Dog Band and I loved it. At the time I did not realise that these were bands of the 1960s reliving the music of the 1920s in the Trad/Rad movement, I just loved the sound. Later I came across the Pasadena Roof Orchestra who concentrated less on humour and more on the music. As I grew older I understood the origins better, but recordings from the actual period that inspired these groups often sounded so small and scratchy that they could hardly be enjoyed.

So what a treat to find this compilation, which is of high musical and high audio quality. The transfer from 78 rpm disks is superb, there is almost no hiss or crackle and the dynamic range is about as good as could be hoped for. These are old recordings so there are limits but I can't imagine this being done any better. The fact that they don't sound modern gives them a nostalgic feeling which transports you back in time rather than being a detraction.

It is interesting to note that on Bryn Ferry's album, also called "Jazz Age", where he performs Roxy Music tracks in the style of 1920s jazz, the sound quality has been deliberately reduced to make it sound more authentic.

But more importantly the selection of music on this collection of original tracks is great. Lots of the key musicians of the age and a good varied selection of tunes. Most tracks are instrumental and had my toes tapping all the way through from the first listening. Considering there is around two and a half hours of material here, it is amazing that this never seems monotonous and not a single track I would want to untick in iTunes. The few tracks with vocals are well chosen and dotted here and there to make things interesting.

The booklet on the physical CD has biographical information about the artists and details of the individual tracks.

This is NOT some bargain bucket compilation CD. This is a quality offering through and through and worth the price (around £15 at time of this review). I listened to the samples on just about all of the other 1920s, Charleston, etc compilations but this is the one that stood out.

POTEK 1500W Power Inverter Dual AC Outlets DC 12V to 110VAC Car Inverter with USB and Bluetooth
POTEK 1500W Power Inverter Dual AC Outlets DC 12V to 110VAC Car Inverter with USB and Bluetooth
I’ve had this inverter installed for approx 14 months, in my off grid cabin. It’s input was run off the charge controller, in order to monitor and limit the input amperage to the inverter. I have only powered the unit up three times to run 110volt output from it. Yesterday, the third time I used it, it “popped” and smoke came out of the unit. I was attempting to power a small chest freezer, rated at 3.4amp draw, well below the inverters rating. I removed the cover of the inverter and all 6 30A fuses were still good. Something else went. This left me without the ability to run my freezer. I’m writing this the next morning, as I’m getting gas, on my 45 minute drive to a store to replace the inverter.
Blind occupies a curious space in the career of Corrosion of Conformity. It's either the metal tail to their punk/thrash crossover 80s period, or it's the hardcore beginnings to their Southern metal 90s period. Figure in the absence of departed Mike Dean (who would shortly thereafter rejoin) and the sole appearances of bassist Phil Swisher and singer Karl Agell, and Blind sticks out in their catalog from whichever direction you view it.

And stick out it should. It's quite simply one of the most devastating metal albums ever created. From Karl Agell's haunting, Ozzy-like scream, to the absolutely perfect production (particularly of Reed Mullin's superb and varied drum work and Swisher's bass), I don't think there's a dull moment on this album, thematically encapsulated by "These Shrouded Temples . . . Remain."

While COC would eventually go overboard with the light interludes on Deliverance, "Shallow Ground" here perfectly bridges the eastern-tinged speed metal of "Mine are the Eyes of God" and the heavy distortion of "Vote with a Bullet." Yes, that's a real song name on the album! The sheer severity of COC's left-wing lyrical content reaches its zenith here; in subsequent albums it would largely take a backseat to Pepper Keenan's inscrutable "poetics."

In every way - lyrics, production, riffs, solos (which never come close to over-the-top guitar heroics but remain more drawn and sorrowful), vocals, and drumming in particular, Blind is a complete metal masterpiece, almost shamefully under-recognized for its contribution to the metal mind.

(Having never owned the CD version, I can't speak to the three bonus tracks.)
Wolverine Men's Floorhand Waterproof 10" Steel Toe Work Boot
Wolverine Men's Floorhand Waterproof 10" Steel Toe Work Boot
Good, quality work boot, with lots of room for heavy work socks. Atrractive, functional appearance, whether pants are tucked inside the boot or pants are pulled over the exterior sides of the boot. I haven’t found out if they are waterproof yet, but it looks like they will be very water resistant for a breathable leather boot. And I didn’t buy these leather boots for wading around in several inches of standing water anyway, and in those situations, I’d wear some clammy rubber boots, not these good, everyday leather work boots. These Wolverine boots are great for construction, chores, just about any kind of work, and the steel toe is not even noticeable, except when you just find out it’s protected you from stubbing your toe! The only caveat might be, because they do have the convenience of a pull on boot, if you planned to go hiking for miles and miles, you would probably want to wear a lighter boot with laces that fit around your feet tightly, but that’s the case with almost all pull on boots. Highly recommended boots.
Gino Giovanni Boy's Formal Dresswear Set
Gino Giovanni Boy's Formal Dresswear Set
The set comes well packed in the double bag, but it needed to have the lines steamed. I had a $20 steamer, which made all the difference. I had to steam the blazer and the pants. My 9 year old son is a bit "thick", not exactly fat, but he's a solid built. I got him a size 12 husky, because I didn't want to deal with pants that are tight over the hips. He usually wears a size L Hanes sweatpants, size 14 tops and avoids jeans - but would likely need a size 14 jeans too. He just doesn't have the height for the size 14 husky tux, so the pants were dragging and the blazer sleeves were way too long. The tux pants have elastic. They resemble a cheap security guard uniform, but he doesn't need anything more "high class" than that. The vest is not adjustable like the ones you can buy separately, but it fit just fine, and it had the sheen of a sateen. The bow tie is adjustable. The shirt is the "weak link" but it can't be seen anyhow. I suggest planning on wearing a plain white t-shirt underneath. Overall this was a fantastic purchase for a special occasion and he looked like million bucks. We also got him a top hat and he was the talk of the whole town. The price is right, under $60.
Joe's Luck Or, Always Wide Awake
Joe's Luck Or, Always Wide Awake
Joe's Luck follows the story of Joe, a boy of 15 who is working for an older gent with a rude son. The deal is, he works and in exchange is provided food, shelter and clothing. The clothing however is awful. Joe looks like a ragged tramp. The son of his boss is a real piece of work as we used to say. He's mean and treats Joe like a servant.

Then Joe inherits $56. Wow! With that he quits the farm and heads to the city. His intention is to buy a ticket aboard a sailing ship and go to California. Via ship, taking months is the least expensive way to go west and Joe wants to dig for gold.

He's robbed of his $50 by an unscrupulous cad. Instead of riding in steerage (that actually costs $100) Joe ends up sharing a small cabin with a wealthy young man on his way to California. They get along grand and Joe and the new friend enjoy each other's company.

Once in California Joe's luck becomes mostly good luck. He saves a gent from injury and is set up in a restaurant for the deed. From there, Joe's kindness and generosity enable multiple good things to happen -- not just to Joe, but to new characters introduced.

The book shows that by working (not gambling) you can succeed. Joe does, and even manages to get out to the mines.

I enjoyed the book and especially the ending.
Odd Thomas: You Are Destined to Be Together Forever (Short Story) (Kindle Single)
Odd Thomas: You Are Destined to Be Together Forever (Short Story) (Kindle Single)
I might be a bit biased. I'm a long-time fan of Dean Koontz's stories and have been since I received a huge triple novel omnibus as a 19th birthday present, half a lifetime ago. Before that moment, I fought against recreational reading—whether it was because of immaturity, or feeling pressured to read a lot of material that I just had no interest in for so many years in academia—I just don't know.

Anyway, back to Odd Thomas and this wonderful little quick read... I love, love, LOVE this entire series. Before this, Koontz didn't do a lot of serial work, but these are well worth the read. I accidentally started with the second book in the series, "Forever Odd," and even though I accidentally found out what fate befell a character or two through the telling of "Forever Odd," it didn't keep me from literally shedding a tear for them when I went back to the first novel in the series.

Now, if you're okay with a Star Warsian timeline where you hit the 'meat and potatoes' part of a series first, then go back to see how it all began, then it doesn't much matter when you read this short story. However, if you like to do things in chronological order via the character's perspective, then READ THIS FIRST. Then move on to; "Odd Thomas," "Forever Odd," "Brother Odd," "Odd Hours," "Odd Interlude," "Odd Apocalypse," "Deeply Odd," and finally, "Saint Odd." There are also some graphic novels that come before "Odd Thomas" too.

These books are written in the first person as a memoir of this fictional character, which is completely different for Koontz, and makes for an easy, enjoyable read. Odd is himself the crowning jewel of the series, but some of his companions along that way are sweet, surprising, and oddly (pun intended)...amusing. They are entertaining through out and hard to put down. Even though this is kind of the starting point for these characters, and being all but the last book into the series with foresight, it was still a compelling read that you should check out for yourself.
Asterix & the Great Crossing (Classic Asterix Paperbacks)
Asterix & the Great Crossing (Classic Asterix Paperbacks)
First published in French in 1975 as La Grande Traversée, it was first published in English in 1976.
Asterix and Obelix volunteer to go fishing, as Getafix needs fresh fish, which Unhigienix, the fishmonger, as usual, cannot provide.
Stormy weather blows them to a strange destination where they meet up with a strange people who they cannot quite identify (of course we have the benefit of hindsight and know that this is America and these people are Native Americans.) Before the end of the voyage they also get to run into Vikings (A slightly different breed it seems, to those we met in `Asterix and the Normans').
As usual our friends voyage to interesting places and upside down. In the Asterix albums we have met parodies of figures such as Boadicea, The Beatles, Napoleon, Laurence Olivier and 007. In this one we get to meet up with a spoof of Harold Wilson, British Prime minister when this book was published.
Of course the theme of food also comes up quite a lot. It seems the authors of the Asterix albums had quite an obsession with food!
*Bestselling author Sandra Brown has brought another excellent romantic suspense in this spell binding adventure as only she can do!....... While on her way to New Mexico to do an interview, television reporter, Tiel McCoy is contacted by her boss to tell her that a major story just came over the wire. Apparently Sabra Dendy, daughter of multi-millionaire Russell Dendy has run away with her boyfriend, Ronald Davison. Begging her friend and editor for this story, she is given the go ahead and without thinking she whips the car around taking her to Hera, Texas. However, little did she know that her fate was about to change when she decided to stop at the last minute to enter a convenient store. She was looking to see what she needed on her trip back when she started to browse. Only a few people including a very handsome cowboy, but her concentration was distracted when a young couple came in to hold up the store. She couldn't believe her eyes for it was Ronnie and Sabra and she was nine months pregnant! The story, her story just fell right into her lap and it was going to make her famous! When Sabra started to bend over in discomfort, Tiel jumped by her side including the handsome cowboy and ignoring Ronnie's threats with the gun he was holding. The cowboy known as "Doc" said he could help her while silently, Tiel knew who he was. At one time, he was the most talented and prominent onocologist in the country, but with a terrible scandal invading his practice and personal life causing him to just walk away to live in seclusion for more than three years now. Now kneeling beside Sabra, Doc realizes that Tiel knows who he is and he hints to her to respect his wishes by not telling anyone else. Doc's story is one thing but when she learns why the kids did what they did, she is driven to a soft spot within herself that she didn't even know existed. Throughout all this madness, Doc and Tiel work together to help Sabra and her baby by trying to keep Ronnie calm not to mention the worry and concern over two mexican customers who look deadly and their biggest concern of why Sabra ran away to begin with. To escape a vicious and cold calculating father who has threatened to either kill the baby or adopt it out? With all the commotion going on, there was something else going on as Doc and Tiel find themselves totally attracted to each other and suddenly her big news story isn't all that important any more. She hopes Doc sees it in her eyes just as she knows that whatever happened with him three years ago, he was totally innocent. She's thinking to herself "the damn media!".........Will doc and Tiel get together once all the chaos is behind them?......thank you

Gambler From Natchez, The
Similar to the 'Mississippi Gambler" I gave high praise for....this is an action movie that has a little something for everyone. A pace that is driven by a good story ( gee, what a novel Idea) and actors that are a joy to watch. Did I say this was filmed in a rich color treatment. It is and that's one more reason to buy and enjoy.
Wyatt's War (Hearts & Heroes Book 1)
Wyatt's War (Hearts & Heroes Book 1)
Elle James - Wyatt's War- (Hearts & Heroes Series - Book 1)

The series is based on three brothers who are all in the U.S. military. Wyatt Magnus was in the Army Special forces, Ronin is a Seal and Sam is an Army helicopter pilot. They have a younger sister, Abby, who is with the U.S. Foreign Service stationed in the Ukraine embassy.

Sergeant Major Wyatt Magnus was rehabbing his knee and his psyche after he was kidnapped and tortured by Somalia Militants. He has been loaned to Home Land Security to head up security for the International Trade Convention in San Antonio, TX. Wyatt saw this assignment to delay his returning to the military and he wasn’t happy.

Before meeting with the coordinator for the convention, he was jogging and accidently shoved a beautiful woman into the San Antonio River Walk water. After he helped her out of the water, he went to his hotel room to get dressed for his meeting with the convention coordinator, Ms. Fiona Allen. But, he found someone was in his bathroom. Wyatt recognized the beautiful woman that he had caused to land in the river, but what is she doing in his room? Apparently, the hotel had made a mistake and double book this room. It turns out that there is a bigger problem, there are no rooms in the hotel so they must share the one room or someone will have to move to another hotel.

When both of them refused to give up the room, they were forced to share the room. As their attraction to each other became stronger, they were determined not to give in. That mantra didn’t last long because they had one night of white fiery passion that was off the charts. Wyatt realized they had a bigger problem. A man with lots of explosives has decided to blow up the convention center. As Wyatt races to stop the mad man, he is determined to protect Fiona at all costs.

Will Wyatt stop the mad man and save Fiona or will he be too late?
The Sun God's Heir: Redemption (Book Three)
The Sun God's Heir: Redemption (Book Three)
I am truly impressed by the work represented in these three books. It was thought provoking, and I have always had a "thing" for reincarnation. There is plenty of action and good romance. Plenty of historical background. In short, the trilogy has it all. I wil miss reading it though the books kept me up very late for 3 nights.
Lewis Carroll in Numberland: His Fantastical Mathematical Logical Life
Lewis Carroll in Numberland: His Fantastical Mathematical Logical Life
To most people, Lewis Carroll is nothing but an author of childrens' books and a photographer of ill repute. Nothing could be further from the truth. He was also Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, an eminent mathematician at Oxford, with most of his work being in geometry and matrix algebra. He spent much of his time teaching undergraduates, but also children in various schools around Oxford and private pupils, and published at least as much serious work as he did fiction and nonsense. It is said that after Queen Victoria read "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", she was so charmed that she demanded that she be sent a copy of his next book. And duly, she received "An Elementary Treatise on Determinants, With Their Application to Simultaneous Linear Equations and Algebraic Equations" and was not amused.

Much of his mathematical work, being pedagogical, is now out of date and sometimes even wrong. For example, much of his energy was spent on teaching Euclid to undergraduates, material that is these days covered at A-level in a completely different way, and he was so opposed to the study of non-Euclidean geometries as to waste time writing against them. But that doesn't detract from the fact that he was a great teacher of mathematics, to students at all levels from young children to the most learnèd.

Of his works that are still relevant, his two-part "Symbolic Logic" appears (from its description in this short biography) to be worth looking at, for his method of figuring out syllogisms through diagrams, and how he expanded his diagrams to deal with showing the interactions of any number of sets, where Venn diagrams break down at six sets. In 1884 he published what is now an obscure work on psephology, "The Principles of Parliamentary Representation" in which he considers what it means for an election to be fair, and methods to achieve this in reality. I'm very pleased to say that he comes to the same conclusion that I did: large multi-member constituencies with some form of proportional representation within each constituency. And related to this, and driven by his interest in tennis, he analysed whether the traditional knockout style of tournament was a good way of ranking players by ability (it isn't: consider what happens if the best and second-best players meet in the first round) and published under his Carroll pen-name a pamphlet with the delightful title of "Lawn Tennis Tournaments: The True Method of Assigning Prizes with a Proof of the Fallacy of the Present Method" whose recommendations have not, unfortunately, been taken up. It is an interesting "what-if" to imagine whether they would have been if he had published it under the name of Dodgson and the effect this would have on knock-out tournaments in all manner of sports.

I would have liked to see a bit more space given in this biography to all three of those subjects, even bearing in mind that a biography is a book about the man, not about the details of his work. After all, if the author could fit in so much material about puns and mathematical games, he could surely fit in a bit more about those works of Dodgson's that are the most relevant today. I wonder if, perhaps, Wilson was concerned that that would make the book "too technical". If that's the reason, then Shame, Shame!

For those with an interest in mathematics (at any level, from schoolchild to professional), this book is very much worth reading and worth buying. For general readers I hesitate to recommend purchasing it except to Carroll's most ardent fans.

What's a Christian to Do with Harry Potter?
What's a Christian to Do with Harry Potter?
As our children we not around for the initial release of the HP books, we are just now entering this territory. We have been reading the Harry Potter books with our children for a few months (we're on book 4 now). However, we have struggled with how to present and discuss them within a Biblical framework. We were also concerned about assertions that some Christians have made about their dangerous potential. Mrs. Neal makes some excellent clarification about the *real* dangers of HP verses the negative hype and blatant falsehoods circulating. (As this book is now 8 years old, some of these concerns have long been dispelled.) I was impressed by her concern that the real issue with Harry Potter is how divisive it has been to the Christian community. Above all, she recommends respect for each other and that we acknowledge something that works for one family may not work for another. I would say that her assertion that she evenly presents both sides of the debate is a tad misleading as it is apparent from the book that she is a HP fan. She does point out, with Scriptural references, how two Christians can reach opposing conclusion and still be correct in how they proceed. There were a few times that I felt she used verses slightly out of context, yet the full context could have easily supported her view if completely connected. Ultimately, I was most comforted by her examination of Daniel & his study, but not practice, of magic. I would recommend this book to those who are "on the fence" about whether or not HP is appropriate for their home, are concerned about ways to present HP in Biblical context, need ways to Scripturally address occult in real world vs. literary context, or are already enjoying HP but desire to communicate delicately and respectfully with those who are opposed to the novels. In light of the release and revelations of the last HP book... not all Christians may find this necessary.

In all sincerity, many of the concepts she explains could be applied to various conflicts within the Body.
Harry Potter Cookbook: An Amazing Collection of Harry Potter Inspired Recipes
Harry Potter Cookbook: An Amazing Collection of Harry Potter Inspired Recipes
I thought I would make the butter beer ice cream one weekend. I was wrong in that assumption. The ingredient list is impossible to comprehend and the directions are even worse. I have been cooking for over 50 years and this one had me stumped.
1 bottle of your favorite British Ale
tablespoons of butter (how many ????????)
The directions however call for ginger ale, not British Ale.
It calls for an egg in the custard but does not tell you to temper it to avoid "scrambling" the egg rather than incorporating it into the custard.
But this was my favorite: "Place the mix inside 'fried' to cool." I am guessing that "fried" is supposed to be "a refrigerator."
Skip this one. Even if it is free, it is not worth the effort of downloading and deleting. If I had the option of minus stars, I would give it a minus ten.
Not only are the recipes not tested, they have not even been proof read.
LEGO Ideas 21318 Tree House Building Kit (3,036 Pieces)
LEGO Ideas 21318 Tree House Building Kit (3,036 Pieces)
I am a 60 year old woman - this is my SECOND lego set! Lol! My first was the "Friends" TV show set I got for Christmas. I got it just because I've always liked that show, and thought it might be fun to build. I had so much fun putting that together, and seeing how much it looked like the TV show set and all the detail! It was a relatively small Lego set, and I was really kind of sad when I was done! But, I really didn't expect to do any more lego sets. My hubby was amused that I enjoyed "Legos" and surprised me with this Treehouse set of over 3000 pieces! I got it this month, and I've been working on it a little every night. I just want to relish every little moment of construction - so I'm not rushing it. (Plus - I do have a full-time job!) Usually, in the evenings, you'll find me crocheting, painting or doing some other craft while I watch TV with my hubby, but now you find me playing engineer and building legos! Lego building is a first for me! (Except for the little things I've done with my kids and grands.) I'm really enjoying all the DETAIL that is in these sets! Its a surprise to not really know what you are building, until the final piece is in place - and all of a sudden you see its a bed or a coo-coo clock, a bird house or a toilet! Lol! Its an adventure every time I complete a new step. I've had to learn how to read the instructions, and determine where each one goes. I've had to take it apart a few times because I did it wrong. But, its taught me to pay closer attention to the small details. It has been so fun. I'm about 1/2 way into construction and look forward to seeing the completed piece. However, not to seeing this adventure come to an end! I secretly caught my hubby perusing Amazon for another set for me last night! I guess this proves - you can't be too old for Legos! I can imagine I'm going to have to watch my grandkids - that they won't destroy my masterpiece! Because, it will be a very tempting toy! This is a beautiful treehouse with lots of great imagination built in! Love it!
Egyptian Magic (Illustrated Edition)
Egyptian Magic (Illustrated Edition)
Was not really impressed. Honestly, at times the book seemed offensive. Yes, there are things to learn from the book, but I found myself distracted by the forms of names he used for some of the Egyptian gods, which are no longer in use. Also, some of the thinly veiled jabs he takes at the Ancient Egyptian religious beliefs. On one page he refers to their beliefs as "gross and childish superstition". He seems to express distainful surprise that the "educated folk of ancient Egypt" believed they had the ability to influence nature and the Gods. On another page he says, I quote, "...beliefs and superstitions of the most degraded character flourished with rank luxuriance..." and he later says that those people who dealt with such were regarded as associates of the Devil. But ancient Egyptians didn't have the same Christian views that he does in regards to magic, and what he considered black magic would have been acceptable to them. And the closest thing they had to a devil was Apep. But he didn't utilize the name Apep, he specifically says the Devil and demonology, sorcery and witchcraft.

Now he does, mention white magic, which he seems okay with, if dismissive of. Another quote, "A matter for surprise is that they seem to see nothing incongruous in such a mixture of magic and religion..." I could go on, but I don't want to belabor the point.

Get the book, but read it with a grain of salt. Especially if you identify as Kemetic or Tameran.

Charming jungle-themed crib mobile. Unique crochet style animals do not overwhelm but draw your attention. The music box has a volume adjustment with an on/off switch. Melodies offer a nice calm variety of music; a very good value and great idea for a shower gift. Colors and design are nice for either a baby girl or boy; crochet arm covers allow for adding a tiny pink or blue bow for an extra touch!
Alaska Spark (Blazing Hearts Wildfire Series Book 1)
Alaska Spark (Blazing Hearts Wildfire Series Book 1)
I was gripped from the first page of this book which is a roller-coaster of a read, taking in firefighting and two uncertain lovers. The heroine has been engaged to a firefighter before and found he was playing around. She doesn't feel like falling for someone who seems to shy away from the commitment word. The hero falls for her rather heavily and although up until now has been a player, he begins to wonder if settling for one might be his answer to happiness. There's also a rather nasty villain. As you'd expect, the hero and heroine find their way through the smoke and a few nail-biting adventures to true love, and the villain gets his come-uppance in a most satisfactory way. If you're looking for an exciting and page-turning read with satisfactory characters who are well-portrayed, then go for it. I shall be excited to see the next book in the series. My thanks to the author for all her hard work.

why the two star from another?? Warum (why?) This album is going platinum in Deutschland. So many people can't be wrong. 25 new titles. Sounds fresh and Andrea Berg is reaching new height. I have several other albums/CD of hers and I think this is the best by far. Abenteuer 20 Jahre Andrea Berg is really good CD/DVD; but this, I think is better.

If you want to listen to sample go to amazon dot de and there, you can play the samples. I think first two tracks Atlantis lebt and Das Gefuhl have been uploaded on youtube.
Midland Bedding Knee Pillow, Best for Lower Leg, Back, and Knee Pain- Memory Foam Contour Leg Pillow
Midland Bedding Knee Pillow, Best for Lower Leg, Back, and Knee Pain- Memory Foam Contour Leg Pillow
I have always been a side sleeper and due to chronic pain problems which are getting progressively worse I was considering getting a full length body pillow, but I didn't really want to get something that large taking up so much room in my bed, so when I discovered this by accident while looking for side sleeper pillows I was very pleased.
It arrived the next day with prime delivery and came with a removable (with difficulty) cover which can be tumble dried which makes life much easier (although getting the cover back on isn't that easy.)
The cover is a slightly stretchy cream coloured terry towelling type fabric with a small zip at one end. It would be easier to remove and replace the cover if the zip ran the length of the pillow, I'm not sure why they haven't thought of this as it is really difficult, particularly putting the cover back on.
However, that is only a minor consideration when you think of the usefulness of the knee pillow. Prior to buying this I would just use a normal bedroom cushion/pillow/part of the duvet bunched up which didn't always work magnificently, so sometimes when I woke up my hips were in pure agony. This seems to be working pretty well so far, I shall amend my review if I have any problems with it in the future.

FYLINA Travel Pillow, Memory Foam Neck Pillow with Carry Case, Eye Mask and Ear Plugs, Comfortable Portable Neck Head Support Cushion for Airplane Train Car Travelling Reading Sleeping
Bought this for return flight to Australia and it made such a difference. Really comfortable and the angled corners were more helpful than I appreciated. My only challenge with it is, I am a big chap, 6ft3, and the back of it was level with the head cushion on the flight, and as it is quite a deep support, it meant my head was propelled forward ever so slightly more than I would like. But that isn't the fault of the device. It means I really prefer it on overnight trains where the seat back is flat, and when I've stayed up in the rocking chair to look after my nephew it's been incredible. I would say I have recommended it to my mum to buy her own, however she has just elected to take mine on her trip to see her family. So far she has only complimented it
