Mastermind Group Blueprint
Mastermind Group Blueprint
Excellent book. I'm almost sorry I read it after reading several other books on the topic of mastermind groups. It was a quick read for me (probably because I was already quite familiar with the concept) It was concise but thorough. It was the best book of the bunch on marketing and monetizing. I would definitely buy this book if I were interested in a business mastermind group and being a paid facilitator. I also read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, Meet and Grow Rich by Joe Vitale and Bill Hibbler, Profit from the Power of Many by Natalie Brecher and Teamworks by Barbara Sher. My personal favorite is Barbara Sher's Teamworks. But her emphasis is not on business mastermind groups. Her emphasis is on forming mutual-support success teams for achieving personal goals without a paid facilitator. But most of her concepts are applicable to a business group. Well done, Tobe Brockner!
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change
This is a life changing book and the best habit forming book. You must really have patience and concentration to read this book and to understand it completely.

Author Stephen R Covey explain about how we see the world that is our paradigm.

And how is change in our paradigm can lead to a change in our positive mental attitude(PMA) and human and Public Relationship.

Author gives many stories to explain the concept very clearly.

He tells that we need to live a life of integrity, to contribute & make a difference in the world and raise to the greatness that lies within each one of us.

The Seven Habits are
1.Be Proactive.
2. Begin with the end in mind.
3. ‎Put First Things First.
4. ‎Think win win.
5. ‎First seek to understand, then to be understood.
6. ‎Synergize.
7. ‎Sharpen the saw.

Be Proactive:

It is about taking responsibility and initiatives
I am what I am today because of the choices I made yesterday.

Begin with the end in mind:

It means we need to have a goal for everything. It is a sort of vision. How we wish to see in every aspect of our life like with spouse, family, money, work, friend pleasure, enemy.

Put First Things First:
Author divides our entire time into 4 quadrants.
Important and urgent-Q1
Important and not urgent-Q2
Not important and urgent-Q3
Not important and not urgent-Q4.

Important are goals kept in the Habit 2.

Think win win

Author tells in every situation we need to think about the benefit of our self and others. how can a outcome be useful to all the partiers. It's innovative thinking.

First seek to understand, then to be understood:

Stephen presses on the issue that first we need to understand others their situation, feelings and thoughts then directly telling how we feel or what is our decision directly.

Most important of all the habits. It's most difficult to cultivate.

It means a whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
The essence of synergy is to value differences- to respect them,to build on strengths & to compensate for weakness.
Synergies everywhere in the nature.

Sharpen the saw.

It deals with the four aspects of life.
Physical, mental, social/emotional, spiritual.
It's about preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have.

It's a quadrant 2 activity.

Thank you.

Ford at Fifty 1903-1953 An American Story
Ford at Fifty 1903-1953 An American Story
Great book showing the very beginnings of the Ford empire. I have an original copy that was given to my dad. As a son of a Ford employee I was able to go to a Ford Day Camp when I was seven years old and saw the 1953 Ford cars being assembled on the line at the Rouge complex. Another year I was able to tour the Ford Steel Mill. After I graduated from the Dearborn, Fordson High School in June 1964. I worked at Tiger Stadium in Detroit. After a Lion's game I was walking out the private entrance and I was able to meet William Clay Ford and Henry Ford II. My dad was waiting on Tumble Ave in my 1958 Mercury Monterey. I told him to stay right their for a few minutes and he would witness his boss Henry Ford II coming out in his limousine. He did and saw his boss after he had worked at the Ford Rouge Plant for almost 30 years. That moment in time was very special to me. Also a year later as a college student I toured the Dearborn Iron Foundry. When I started working for General Motors (as a metallurgist) I toured the Ford Specialty Foundry in Dearborn, Michigan where nodular iron crankshafts were manufactured in shell molds in a vertical cast process. This was during the GM - UAW strike in 1970. The Ford managers were very gracious to our GM group and said that they had toured our GM facility at the GM Saginaw Nodular Iron during the Ford - UAW strike in 1968. A few years later I was able to visit the: Ford Flatrock Iron Foundry, Ford Windsor Ont. Foundry and the Cleveland Ford Foundry. I eventually retired in 2008 from GM after 39 actual years from the Powertrain Defiance, Ohio Plant.
Factory tours are available of the Ford Rouge assembly line today, I believe they originate at the Greenfield Village.
Disguise Inc - The Candidate Vacuform Election Half Mask
Disguise Inc - The Candidate Vacuform Election Half Mask
The mask rested a bit too low on my nose and would have had to tip my head up just to see in front of me. I ended up just taping additional foam backing to the nosepiece inside to raise it a bit. The cord seemed just a touch on the loose side (and I have a hat size 7.5 head), but it managed to stay on for the brief time that I wore it. Would be nice if it could be tightened easily.

Got this for a Halloween joke costume but I guess now that he's prez I might actually use this again?
We'll Race You, Henry: A Story about Henry Ford (Creative Minds Biographies)
We'll Race You, Henry: A Story about Henry Ford (Creative Minds Biographies)
This is an outstanding book about Henry Ford. It tells a wonderful story about the brilliant mind Henry Ford had and the things that motivated him to invent things that shaped our lives. I love the section about his relationship with his wife. They were truly a team and she fully supported his endeavors. It is a great way to learn about the man, what he was like as a person, his early days on the farm, and his vision and drive to create an automobile. I am a bit surprised at the age level listed because my 7 (and 3/4) year old and 10 year old took turns reading this book and both thoroughly enjoyed every page. It's a great book to read together with a parent as well so you can add additional details to help explain some of the items mentioned that are "old world" and may not be as readily understood by today's youth. A delightful read! I have two science-loving kids who see him as a role model.

LG K31 Unlocked Smartphone – 32 GB – Silver (Made for US by LG) – Verizon, AT&T, T–Mobile, Metro, Cricket (Universal Compatibility)
After hours of reviewing details of many unlocked GSM phones available in the U.S, the new LG K31 is the best if you're looking for a model phone with a screen under 6 inches.

I originally settled on the similar Samsung Galaxy A01 but returned it... the LG K31 is much better... the OS runs much more smoothly and quick and the Wifi chip used in the Samsung is simply awful with very poor distance range.

The SAR radiation level rating on the LG K31 is also on the lower end of the scale (.97 head / 1.03 Body). If SAR ratings are important to you; in comparison, most budget priced Motorola phones typically have much higher SAR radiation ratings usually near the maximum allowable rating of 1.6

The LG K31 doesn't break the bank plus offers fingerprint security and 32GB memory. As an FYI, the LG K31 is the same model as T-Mobile's new LG Aristo 5

I thought I'd give it a shot and just signed up for Mint Mobile's $45 for 3 months plan with 3GB data monthly and so far it's a great option with quality connection that run's on T-Mobile's network and saves me about $40 a month compared to regular single plans through the major carriers. Five weeks in, service has been solid so I plan to renew every 3 months.
Deadpool 2 (4K UHD)
Deadpool 2 (4K UHD)
After the success of the first Deadpool movie, the wise cracking fourth wall breaking hitman gets a sequel. Which will not make a lot of sense to those who haven't seen the first film. If you haven't, why are you reading this? Go and watch it. Then come back.

After the end of the first film, can Wade and Vanessa live happily ever after? Would they have a movie if so? Fate leaves Deadpool looking for purpose. The X Men might not be the answer. A mysterious boy with special powers and a time travelling killer called Cable [Josh Brolin] might be...

Sequels are tricky things. People want the same. But different. But there's enough mileage and flexibility in this format to allow for enough variety to make it click. And when you're throwing gags at the screen at such a rate, most are likely to connect.

It's a little stronger plot wise than the first film. It is of course not going to have the freshness and originality of that, but there is still enough great fun and good jokes to make it an entertaining watch. With a bigger cast some characters don't get as much to do as you might like, but Josh Brolin makes a very good Cable, Zazie Beetz is a superb Domino and really deserves her own franchise. And Peter's pretty cool too.

There are some bad reviews of this out there, so it might be a matter of subjective opinion. But if you loved the first film, give this a go. As to whether you should watch to the end of the credits, didn't you learn anything from what you were told at the end of that one????

The disc begins with the fox logo, but then goes into the menu with no ads or trailers.

Although the box just says English for subtitles and languages, I checked the disc, and it's actually:

Languages: English. English audio description. Russian. Ukrainian.
Subtitles: English. Russian. Danish, Swedish. Finnish. Estonian. Latvian. Lithuanian. Ukrainian.

Extras: A three minute long gag reel. If you've seen one gag reel, you've seen them all. People doing silly dances and pulling faces and the occasional outtake that raises a slight smile. This is no different.

Deadpool's fun sack 2: contains a stills gallery. This is pretty funny with an interesting collection of items and posters and worth a look.

And videos. Roughly forty mins in total, which can be watched individually or all together.

No good deed. ['ll see....]

The Mothers of Lovely Lane (The Lovely Lane Series Book 3)
The Mothers of Lovely Lane (The Lovely Lane Series Book 3)
An absolutely brilliant read. One if the best fictional books I have read in a long time. I was lucky that I read the books one after another, indeed I read all three while on holiday in September (2017).This is the third book in the Lovely Lane Series, the others being The Nurses of Lovely Lane and The Children of Lovely Lane. All three are such wonderful reads and will bring a tear to the eyes if anyone who reads them. Each book tells the story of several people and their stories continue thoughout the books. Things don't always have a happy ever after end and indeed the storys are open to continue. How Nadine Dorries manages to write such brilliant books and also do her duty as an MP I wil never know, but long may she continue to write such great books.
Shop Fox D4666 Extreme-Duty Mobile Base
Shop Fox D4666 Extreme-Duty Mobile Base
I have updated my review from one star to five stars based on the great customer service I received from MaxTool regarding this purchase. They contacted me after seeing my one star review, and the manufacturer and MaxTool sent me a replacement mobile base. Below is my original one star review with the issues I encountered with this product.

The numerous five star reviews is what convinced me that this must be a good mobile base; not the one I got. There are so many issues with this base:
1. One stationary pad/leg came with a nut that was deformed at a significant angle, which prevented it from being used. The individual that assembled the nut on the threaded foot insert had to notice it was all screwed up, but since it wasn't going to be used in their shop obviously they didn't care enough to replace that $.25 part. I had to build up that area with washers since the nut was useless.
2. One of the frame inserts that operates the stationary pads was welded at an angle, which prevented one of the support legs from even going in the assembly. I had to use a punch to force the item in (of course it was too tight to move) and then use my mini sledge hammer to bend the welded insert so the leg would move freely.
3. The instructions clearly say to tighten all the bolts before putting your machinery on the mobile base. In theory this makes a lot of sense. However, the poor alignment/weld jobs means the frame is not square when you put the side rails in and tighten them down. My rear caster was off the ground almost an inch, which made the mobile cart useless as it wasn't stable. I ended up loosening everything up and placing my machinery on it and then tightened the bolts to try to make the base more stable. It worked somewhat, but this is a terrible mobile base. I have used other brands and never had this issue with them.

Save your money and don't waste your time on this inferior poorly fabricated mobile base. I will never buy another Shop Fox product again since they can't get something as simple as this correct...
Clarinet Concertos
Clarinet Concertos
My awareness of the Clarinet Concerto was rather limited: Mozart, Weber, and Copland. This wonderful collection provides a wealth of music from the late 18th to the mid 20th centuries by 21 different composers. Some pieces are, of course, better than others, and some performances could perhaps be better executed or recorded, but for the price the collection can't be beat. It has also gotten me to explore further some of the lesser-known composers. My only complaint is the same one for most of these digital collections from Brilliant Classics: individual compositions are not identified by composer name; the only name are the ones on the front cover list (in alphabetical order), so you have to do some research on line to figure out whose composition is which track.
