ASP.NET Core 3 and React: Hands-On full stack web development using ASP.NET Core, React, and TypeScript 3
I got this book from another place, but anyway want to make a recommendation for it. It is a all-in one book, that will teach you TypeScript, React and asp.net core building a real world application. Topics are introduced in a great sequence, building on top of each other. The example of a Questions and Answers app is great. This is one of the few technical books that you will enjoy reading from cover to cover. Kudos to the author.

This is for beginners, but it will give you an incredible solid foundation, it makes everything easy to learn and follow. Very pleased!! Highly recommended
Warren Buffett: The Life, Lessons & Rules for Success
Warren Buffett: The Life, Lessons & Rules for Success
There is nothing worthwhile reading in this entire book. I have read many financial books, including biographies of well known investors. This book reads like a sloppy wikipedia article (seemed like it was seriously written at a 2nd grade reading level). There are only a handful of facts about Warren's early life that keep getting repeated over and over. The "life lessons" are cliche after cliche with no concrete or truly inspirational ideas. Moreover, there is no author or publisher even listed within the entire book. This is clearly some sort of scam book haphazardly put together to earn a few bucks by enticing people to buy it by putting Warren Buffett's picture on the cover. Save your money, read his wikipedia page for more detailed history, and buy a real book about Warren Buffett.
The Winning Investment Habits of Warren Buffett & George Soros: Harness the Investment Genius of the World's Richest Investors
The Winning Investment Habits of Warren Buffett & George Soros: Harness the Investment Genius of the World's Richest Investors
Unlike other books that try to sell you a method, or explain to you their method, this book here explains habits that two of the biggest investors/(Sorros is probably more a trader) use to amass their fortunes and constantly win in the markets. Then, it does something that so few books encourage it's readers to do (Van Tharp Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom being a clear and reccomended exception), it tells you that you are to look into yourself, and figure out a system that works for you. These are just habits, things that two great investors do in their trading that has made them successful.

The stock market is something that many people go into with vague hopes, with pension plans, or mutual funds for some interest, hoping that they'll pay off. Other people try to invest in a company they like--Peter Lynch's books can teach you brilliantly how he turned a mutual fund into something huge using that method--but a lot of people lack the will or the focus to do the research, the studying, and the ability to execute those buy and sell orders (emotionally) that the stock market will for most people remain a suckers bet.

With a book like this out there however, with its common and approachable language, it's to the point explainations, and it's brilliant juxtapositioning, you have a book that investors and traders alike should read long before ever buying their first stock.

To help design your own system, a few books that have helped my parents (investors) and me (trader).

Investing:
Benjamin Graham: The Intelligent Investor and Security Analysis (though some things have changed in the market, much of what's written in those books are pretty much biblical in their importance for intelligent investing and well worth the money).
Philip Fisher: Common Stocks And Uncommon Profits (The Intelligent Investor and the book Security Analysis can be considered the most important books for Value investing, then Fisher's must be considered the most important book for growth stock investing. It is one of the best books on finding stocks that will grow and grow).
Peter Lynch: Beating the Street and One Upon Wall Street (he was a massive diversifier, but learning how different people did it is always important.
Dorsey: The Five Rules For Successful Stock Investing (coupled with Keys to Reading an Annual Report) (These two books are astonishing in their key to investment wisdom. Coupled with the other books, you can be finding undervalued companies with growth potential in a matter of a few months, that in a few years will be worth dozens of dollars more than you bought them for).
Jim Cramer: Real Money (I am not a huge fan of his book, but the one thing he does promote is selling the stock. Buy and Hold in the stock market needs to become a dead aphorism, and his selling rules, and emphasis on Buy and Homework, is well worth the small price of the book).

Trading
Van Tharp: Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom (A brilliant book that lays bare the mental needs one must have for a trader and how to get yourself there).
Stan Weinstien: Secrets for Profiting in Bull and Beark Markets (though completely technical analysis, in trading, if you don't couple the fundementals with technicals, you can't expect big gains.
Martin Zweig's: Winning on Wall Street (This book focuses on a style of macro-analysis, taking the big picture, and then finding stocks that fit in the big picture, with government reports, global market, and the such.
William O' Neil: The Succesful Investor, 24 Essential Lessons for Investment Success, and How to Make Money In Stocks (okay, cheesy title I will admit, and it sounds like one of those books you get at your own peril. It's also a massive add for his newspaper Investor's Business Daily--though with the information I've gotten from the book it's my experience that if you have the time you can do the same thing with Barron's magazine. William O'Neil made himself millions by analyzing the market and shorting stocks and buying stocks before they broke in either direction. He supported his fledgling paper with his trades alone. His three books come to a little more than 30 dollars which you'll make back in weeks if you follow his rules).
Nicolas Darvas: How I Made Two Million Dollars in the Stock Market, Wall Street: The other Las Vegas (Another bad title, but a brilliant system called Box System, a system that has inspired William O'Neil and countless others).
Gearld Loeb: The Battle For Investment Survival (An old timers book that aged well and is still relevant).
Michael Covel: Trend Following (a brilliant book that gives a strategy called Trend Following that many successful funds have used).
Jesse Livermore: How To Trade Stocks (This poor Massachusetts boy, went from a small job at 14 or 15, at a stock brokerage, to making a hundred million dollars in the 1920's, his insight into the psychology of the market has saved me money and made me money).

I've read all these books and I think diversifying your knowledge instead of your portfolio and focusing key things that you think are important, and not being afraid to fail, which is a hurdle every trader has to overcome (one time missed out on a 20 point jump in less than two months, because the stock dropped slightly--not even below buying point--and I got scared). Live and learn, that's the major lesson. Start with this book, it's the perfect beginners guide in my opinion.
Warren Buffett Wealth: Principles and Practical Methods Used by the World's Greatest Investor
Warren Buffett Wealth: Principles and Practical Methods Used by the World's Greatest Investor
Design of book:

Chapters headings and sections headings are structured to be captivating and clear, making it easy to convey the purposes and meanings of the principles.

Content:

The initial chapters of the book build on some of Buffett's stories and are intended to persuade the reader into following Buffett's principles of investing. You will unfold more of Buffett ways as you read, but most of the essential tips are already mentioned in the first half of the book. The later chapters merely serve as unnecessary elaborations. Principles and examples are also recycled at the later chapters giving readers a feeling that they were reading the book again, before they finished reading.

Buffett debunks the Efficient Market Theory (EMT) by emphasizing on knowing the stocks you buy, buying at a discount and his track records. He also believes that knowledge of basic finances and accounting (GAAP) are necessary to value businesses. However, it will be hard to replicate his success given the difficulties of finding under-valued firms and attaining his wealth of experiences in interpreting annual reports.

For who:

More for first-time readers of Buffett's principles and books, though the author suggests that readers of other Buffett books would find it beneficial as well. Like most books, its persuasive content might not be relevant for readers who are already believers of his principles.

This is also not a `get-rich at once' book. Further readings like The Intelligent Investor and Security Analysis (both written by Benjamin Graham) are necessary for savvy investing. Discipline, morals and experiences are also vital when following his principles.

Readers should also have the mature mindset to determine the usefulness of some principles, which might be out-dated in today's context. In fact, the reason behind the popularity of Buffett and his principles are due to his simple and conservative approach towards investing, something which simple people are attracted to at the start.
Invest Like a Guru: How to Generate Higher Returns at Reduced Risk with Value Investing
Invest Like a Guru: How to Generate Higher Returns at Reduced Risk with Value Investing
I use the research site GuruFocus almost daily. It’s my go-to source for fundamental stock research, and the screeners and graphing tools alone would be well worth the subscription cost.

So, I was thrilled to find out that GuruFocus founder Charlie Tian, PhD recently authored a book, Invest Like a Guru: How To Generate Higher Returns At Reduced Risk With Value Investing.

Tian doesn’t have a background in finance. He’s a scientist with a PhD in physics and an expert in fiber optics and lasers. Perhaps because of his unorthodox background Tian approaches the investing process in a scientific way, picking apart the strategies of successful investors to see how they work. Much of Invest Like a Guru – and GuruFocus too, for that matter – is focused on the strategies of wildly successful value investors such as Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch and Donald Yacktman.

The dominant theme of the book is quality. Buffett famously said “It’s far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price than a fair company at a wonderful price,” and Tian spends most of Invest Like a Guru expanding on that core idea. Chapter 6 is particularly useful as a 20-point checklist of criteria to look for when seeking out quality companies, including consistent profitability, capital efficiency and insider ownership.

But while Invest Like a Guru is full of solid advice in what to look for in a stock, it’s far more useful in telling you what to avoid. As a case in point, Tian dedicates a chapter to deep-value investing, and I personally consider this the most important chapter in the book. I myself have gotten suckered into deep-value plays in the past, and they rarely seem to work out as planned or on the timeframe I had hoped.
Deep-value investing is what Warren Buffett called “buying dollar bills for 40 cents” earlier in his career. Later, he mostly eschewed the strategy, calling it “cigar-butt” investing.

The rationale is easy enough to understand: It’s hard to lose money buying a company that is worth more dead than alive. If a company’s net assets are worth significantly more than its current market price, management could sell off the company for spare parts and deliver a decent profit to shareholders. And generally, that would be the right move. Remember, if a stock is trading that cheaply, chances are good that it is a company with very deep problems.

The problem is that it never quite works out that way. Monetizing assets is messy and complicated, and management has a vested interest in keeping the enterprise going. And the longer they do, the more value gets eroded.

As a case in point, consider the case of Sears Holdings. Eddie Lampert and Bruce Berkowitz – both respected value investors – have effectively bet their careers on Sears in the belief that its real estate and brand portfolios represented massive untapped value. They problem is that the Sears retail business continues to deteriorate around them. They may eventually unlock the value they had hoped to, but it will have cost them dearly in money, reputational damage and – perhaps most importantly – opportunity cost. Had they focused their energies elsewhere, they might have made far better profits with far less headache.

Buffett himself learned the same lesson with Berkshire Hathaway, which was a failing textile producer when Buffett originally bought it. Berkshire eventually failed, but only after Buffett had wasted untold time and energy (not to mention money) trying to keep it afloat. Buffett called his purchase of Berkshire Hathaway a “$100 billion mistake.”

Tian finishes the chapter with the simple observation that “There are better ways to make money.”

If you’re new to value investing, I highly recommend Invest Like a Guru. But even if you’re a seasoned investor, you’ll find plenty of insightful food for thought. My compliments to Tian on a solid addition to the value investor’s library.

Top 10 Visionaries that Changed the World: 500 Life and Business Lessons
Top 10 Visionaries that Changed the World: 500 Life and Business Lessons
If you are and entrepreneur, an innovator, a creative or just someone looking to make your mark, you may be asking yourself ‘how?’. George Ilian is back with another exceptional book to provide you with inspiration and steer you in the right direction. This collection of 500 life lessons is unlike any other book I’ve read. It isn't a list of quotes or simply anecdotes from each of the ten peoples’ careers. What Ilian does is incredible. For each person he focuses on, he provides a timeline that encompasses both personal and business growth for each visionary. As he describes an event in one of their lives, he culls out a lesson for us to learn from it. For instance, Steve Jobs wanted to build Apple as an appealing brand. What steps did he take to get there? What hiccups along the way did he retroactively learn from? And further, what can we as readers take away from it? Amazing. Each visionary’s tale is different, as they all have lived extremely different lives. The one thing they share is they’ve all accomplished something extraordinary. The structure of each visionary’s section varies and the effect is stunning. With each person’s ups and downs, we can gain so much from how they got there or what they achieved (whether it be a goal or a lesson learned) Ilian strings together the similarities and contrasts the differences. This book will help you see opportunity, take control, innovate and find success in your own career. Awesome, inspiring and educational read.

In The Meantime: Finding Yourself and the Love You Want
Wow! This book has been a life changing stepping stone! I enjoy Iyanla’s personality shining through in this book. It made it much easier to take in and do the work. Here, is where I truly learned how to love myself. I thought I was loving myself before but that I needed others love more. After this book i realized I never knew what it looked like to love myself and nobody else’s love would ever be enough, nobody else’s love will EVER be the answer! With the knowledge I gained I’m able to love others better and able to help them love themselves a little more too. A MAJOR weight has lifted and life is easier. Life is BETTER! I purchased these as extra copies to give and loan to people.
Ford at Fifty 1903-1953 An American Story
Ford at Fifty 1903-1953 An American Story
Great book showing the very beginnings of the Ford empire. I have an original copy that was given to my dad. As a son of a Ford employee I was able to go to a Ford Day Camp when I was seven years old and saw the 1953 Ford cars being assembled on the line at the Rouge complex. Another year I was able to tour the Ford Steel Mill. After I graduated from the Dearborn, Fordson High School in June 1964. I worked at Tiger Stadium in Detroit. After a Lion's game I was walking out the private entrance and I was able to meet William Clay Ford and Henry Ford II. My dad was waiting on Tumble Ave in my 1958 Mercury Monterey. I told him to stay right their for a few minutes and he would witness his boss Henry Ford II coming out in his limousine. He did and saw his boss after he had worked at the Ford Rouge Plant for almost 30 years. That moment in time was very special to me. Also a year later as a college student I toured the Dearborn Iron Foundry. When I started working for General Motors (as a metallurgist) I toured the Ford Specialty Foundry in Dearborn, Michigan where nodular iron crankshafts were manufactured in shell molds in a vertical cast process. This was during the GM - UAW strike in 1970. The Ford managers were very gracious to our GM group and said that they had toured our GM facility at the GM Saginaw Nodular Iron during the Ford - UAW strike in 1968. A few years later I was able to visit the: Ford Flatrock Iron Foundry, Ford Windsor Ont. Foundry and the Cleveland Ford Foundry. I eventually retired in 2008 from GM after 39 actual years from the Powertrain Defiance, Ohio Plant.
Factory tours are available of the Ford Rouge assembly line today, I believe they originate at the Greenfield Village.
Bob Dylan In Concert: Brandeis University 1963
Bob Dylan In Concert: Brandeis University 1963
Artist's Choice: Bob Dylan (Music That Matters To Him)
Artist's Choice: Bob Dylan (Music That Matters To Him)
Great recordings, enhanced by outstanding liner notes provided by Dylan himself. Really gives insight to Dylan's appreciation for the historical underpinnings of his music, which provides deeper appreciation both his music and the music on this album.
Essential Bob Dylan
Essential Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan's Great American Songbook
Bob Dylan's Great American Songbook
The originals from which the Triplicate issue got its inspirations. I share Mr. Dylan's affection for the songs of the pre-rock n roll generation, and probably sing them about as well as he does now. It is interesting to hear them in earlier versions versus Dylan's more limited arrangements and instrumentation. The face of Bob Dylan on the cover is possibly a selling ploy, or might be a drawback as it does not hint at the wide range of artists actually included on the album. The rating is primarily for affection for the musical generation and its value as a contrast and compare stimulus against the Triplicate album by Dylan.
Isopure Low Carb, Vitamin C and Zinc for Immune Support, 25g Protein, Keto Friendly Protein Powder, 100% Whey Protein Isolate, Flavor: Dutch Chocolate, 7.5 Pounds (Packaging May Vary)
Isopure Low Carb, Vitamin C and Zinc for Immune Support, 25g Protein, Keto Friendly Protein Powder, 100% Whey Protein Isolate, Flavor: Dutch Chocolate, 7.5 Pounds (Packaging May Vary)
Listen, there are powders with better quality peanut protein, or better flavor, BUT ... as someone who has been through A LOT of good and garbage protein powders and has been lifting for 15 years, let me save you a lot of time and just tell you to stick with this (and not drive yourself crazy).

This is the ONLY powder I have and use. No casein. No cheap whey with milk lactose byproducts. Isopure is just that. Pure 100% whey PROTEIN. Bioavailable, spikes up your insulin, gets mTOR to be expressed, gives you those building blocks for muscle repair and recovery, and that’s it. That’s all you can reasonably expect from a protein powder. It does its job perfectly.

If you’re keto, this is a tough powder to work with, not because it has any carbs (zero carbs), but it WILL shoot up your insulin as much as white bread will shoot up your insulin. Nevertheless, I still have two scoops (50g) right after my workout, with 8 tablespoons of heavy cream and two tablespoons of MCT oil. I’m fasting after I have it (it’s the last thing I’ll eat), so, whatever fat the insulin transports will just be used while I’m fasting.

I can’t have it plain. My wife has it with Aqua Panna or Fiji water (high pH water), and says she can tolerate it plain. I can’t tolerate it plain. I need it creamy.

There is a very very light and slight sandy/grainy-ness to it. That’s fine. That’s perfectly normal. It means the protein hasn’t dissolved fully. I’m inpatient, so I’ll deal with the mild sandiness instead of waiting like 10mins for it to dissolve. But if it bothers you, just wait 10mins for it to dissolve.
Xantrex Freedom XC 2000 817-2080 Power Inverter
Xantrex Freedom XC 2000 817-2080 Power Inverter
I installed an XC2000 in my Class C last Spring (2018). The first one kept throwing the breaker in my garage when I plugged into shore power. I figured that this had to do with my experience level with electrical work and electronics. Additionally, the inverter threw an error code that was not in the manual when this happened. If I ran the inverter with shore power unplugged, it ran fine. In any case, the error code was a "call tech support" code. Not very helpful on a weekend when we working types have the time to attack these projects. Fast forward, I also installed PV panels and a solar charger and stopped worrying about plugging into the grid. Came to find out later that this inverter does not play well with certain types of GFCIs. That info was nowhere in the manual either. I spent hours researching about grounded neutrals and trying to find one that did not exist, because that's what Xantrex's tech support pointed me towards.

I should also mention the inverter smoke checked itself shortly after I installed it. There was a large char mark on the negative side of the battery cable terminal. Yes, it was torqued properly. I called customer service and they had a new one to me in just two days. I installed the new one and it is running fine to this day (Feb 2019). I should also mention that I've been full-timing since September. So it's been close to 6months of continual problem free use.

I bought the external/remote panel since this is mounted away in a cabinet that would be difficult to routinely access. I must remark that the interface on this is about as technological as a 1980s Casio watch. As a part of my electrical system overhaul, I also installed a Victron solar charger and battery monitor. I can monitor and manipulate the Victron products via a free bluetooth app by Victron. But the inverter that cost nearly twice as much as the Victron products combined has an interface that must be wired and, in general, disappoints.

The AC terminals on this inverter are terrible to attach your 10/3 wire to. I called tech support on this one also, and the English language does not have the words necessary to describe how to do this. There's even a video on Youtube that attempts to demonstrate how to do this. But it's tough for a camera to capture. In the end you have to use a ridiculous amount of force to get the wires in while also not snapping the AC terminal off the board, while also working at a very challenging angle. Good news is, once the copper is in, it will probably never come out.

I also looked at the Magnum products. I was impressed by what I saw. But Magnum seems to be doing nothing to advance their products, while Xantrex did appear to be advancing their products. I also hated to buy Chinese. But at the end of the day, the cost savings from purchasing the Xantrex allowed me to keep my project costs below $2,500 (to include 4x100W PV panels, Xantrex inverter, Victron MPPT solar charger, Victron battery monitor, 2 x Trojan T-105REs and all the necessary wiring, fuses and hardware).

Visiting Mr. Green - Acting Edition (Acting Edition for Theater Productions)
The book 'Visiting mr. Green' was very well taken care of, (compliment for Amazon) and the contents are beautiful, (compliment for Jeff Baron). After having read the book, I went (in the Netherlands) to the play with Bram van der Vlugt and Oren Schrijver, directed by Bruun Kuijt, (compliments for the three of them). Enjoyed the care, the book and the performance enormously.

Excellent quality. Material is soft. I read the reviews so knew that I should order up a size or two. My son is 35" and about 32lbs, currently in a size 3t pants (slim) and can wear 3t and some 4t tops. I ordered these jammies in a size 5 (up to 110 cm). The bottoms are a bit too long but they are fitted so he can still wear them. I have washed them several times and the color is still vibrant and no noticable signs of shrinking. I highly recommend these jammies, both parents and superhero fans will be pleased. I will definitely order this brand from this seller again.
Cranford Season 1
Cranford Season 1
I am a huge fan of BBC and PBS based shows and was delighted to come across Cranford. The series is based in a small Victorian town that is out of the way of much larger towns. The characters each have their own quirks and personalities and have been well casted. Judi Dench portrays an older woman who has never been married and lives with her very staunch and assertive sister portrayed by Eileen Atkins. The show starts out with their niece Mary Smith, played by Lisa Dillon arriving in town to live with the two sisters and their lives unfold over time. The plot has many twists and turns as a new handsome and single doctor arrives in town and all of the single ladies are looking to court him but he is in love with but one beautiful young lass.
Several of the characters are downright hilarious, as much of the town is full of women who love to gossip and can often argue over who is going to tell the latest gossip first. The story of young boy also unfolds in a very touching but yet painful way in Season 1 and the pains of his family. The show itself has many small stories that all are related in small ways to other stories making for an awesome watch.
I fell in love with the show right at the start and would highly suggest it to anyone who is a fan of British Era pieces, with an amazing cast and incredible story and plots you'll find yourself engrossed before you know it.

I bought this about two or three days ago and it arrived in good overall condition. On my specific one the bottom lid doesn't close completely due to the three double A batteries but it's not a deal breaker. My only annoyance is that to my eyes the yellow LED color is not a natural yellow but a yellow greenish hue. Keep in mind that this is relative since color is a perception and not everyone sees color the same way even though I don't suffer from color blindness. As you can see in the pictures for comparison there's a yellow greenish color and a solid green color.

Other than that I love it. Maybe in the future they'll release an updated model. Build, size, and price is on par with similar decorations.
Ranma 1/2, Vol. 28
Ranma 1/2, Vol. 28
While Ranma Saotome has always had more girls than he can cope with, his pal/nemesis Ryoga Hibiki is perpetually unlucky in love. But all that changes in the twenty-eighth volume of "Ranma 1/2," where our heroes battle colds, shape-changing, iron hair and evil cherry trees.

A pig is savaging the young men of Tokyo, and at first Ranma suspects that Ryoga (who turns into a piglet) has finally snapped. But then the pig attacks Ryoga, and is defeated by him. Turns out that whoever defeats the pig wins the hand and heart of Akari, a pretty young girl who is obsessed with pigs -- and adores Ryoga. But when she accidently offends him, Ranma resorts to magical incense to bring them together... with bizarre results.

More mayhem ensues when Ranma's father tries a new hair-grown remedy, resulting in spiky metallic hair that only grows when he's enraged. In an effort to tame Ranma, Miss Hinako uses fighting fish to stay in her adult form. A magical cherry tree possesses Kuno. And a magical spatula levels one of Ukyo's friends -- and then sticks to Ranma's fingers.

But then Ranma catches a very contagious cold, which temporarily makes him unable to transform into a girl. It's the perfect opportunity to meet his mother, but Happosai and Genma promptly foul the whole thing up. Even worse, Ranma's mother catches a glimpse of her "manly" son... wearing a bra to entrap Happosai.

Rumiko Takahashi balances out humor and pathos well in this volume -- on one hand we've got Hinako, Kuno and Ryoga, whose romantic luck finally changes for the better. One of the funniest moments is when Ranma uses magical incense on Ryoga, causing him to passionately hug anyone who says "pig." On the other hand, we have poor Ranma's continuing efforts to meet his mother in his male form, even risking suicide to see her.

Takahashi also introduces us to Akari, who looks a bit like Kagome from her "Inuyasha" series. She also happens to be Ryoga's soulmate, a girl who bolsters his fragile ego and thinks that he's perfect because he turns into a pig. Too bad Ryoga still has a thang for Akane, who hasn't got a clue that he adores her. And too bad Ryoga's hopeless sense of direction keeps him from meeting up with Akari...

Romantic problems and familial difficulties torment Ranma and his pals in the twenty-eighth volume of "Ranma 1/2." Only time (and Takahashi) will tell whether their problems will be dealt with.... (To Be Continued)
Walking With Frodo: A Devotional Journey Through the Lord of the Rings
Walking With Frodo: A Devotional Journey Through the Lord of the Rings
I'm not a huge fan of the daily devotional book (mostly derived from the books of C.S. Lewis), so while I may enjoy this book, particularly since someone took the time to find the best of the many lines of wisdom written by Tolkien, his work is a little ambiguous compared to someone like Lewis, who wrote straight apologetics. You can fairly easily derive the wisdom of the works of Lewis; Tolkien is a little more difficult, especially if you aren't very conversant in fantasy literature. My mom, for example, cannot, for the life of her, see the Christian themes in Tolkien's work. I've tried to explain it ro her, but she refuses to read any of Tolkien's work at length, particularly The Silmarillion (which she seems to think is heretical, even though her explanation is that she just doesn't understand how it applies to Christian theology). Still, while it's not as edifying as the Lewis books of the same kind, it can help you have a better understanding of Tolkien's beliefs.
Apocalypse Pompeii
Apocalypse Pompeii
This is my favorite disaster movie - "Apocalypse Pompeii". It stars, Adrian Paul, Jhey Castle, Georgina Beedle, and John Rhys-Davies.

"Apocalypse Pompeii" arch of the story is that Jeff, former special ops commando, has retired and is spearheading the next phase in his life - what to do after retirement from the military. You guessed it, he opens a security firm and while his wife, Lynn, and daughter, Mikala, are on holiday in Italy seeing the tourist sites including Pompeii, he will be presenting a sales pitch for his starter business security firm while too in Italy with his family. While, presenting his sales pitch the volcano in Pompeii erupts...

With Jeff's family trapped at ground zero, Jeff will need to pool all his resources to get them out of harms way or in this case nature's fury. Jeff luckily has friends that are willing to help...commando, black oops, stealth like style, since the Italian government has banned all rescue operations to ground zero...

Will Jeff rescue Lynn and Mikala in time? Will Colonel Dillard be court marshalled? All questions...answered.

I highly recommend this movie. The special effects are pretty good for a B disaster movie. The lava seemed so life like, it almost felt like a living, breathing entity with the way it crept up and pulled people in. Very spooky. Still...great movie if you like disaster movies.

R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It
Then this is one of the best. It's fun with a moral.

The movie rating says 12 or over, but my friends 10 year old thinks it's great, but judgement is best left to sensible adults.

Cassie (Emily Osment, Haley Joel "I see dead people" Osment's little sister) is the new girl at the school and is having a hard time fitting in. Especially after she becomes the target of Priscilla, the school beauty, who thinks she is trying to make a move on what she considers to be her date for the dance, Sean (Cody Linley).

In order to get revenge after she is embarrassed by Priscilla Cassie decides to play tricks on those who annoy her, inlcuding Priscilla - who in turn plots her own revenge on Cassie, with the apparently gullable Sean in tow.

As halloween approaches Cassie comes across a shop which deals with occult items and buys a book called "The Evil Thing", which contains a warning "Do not read out loud", unfortunately Cassie wants to frighten her little brother and reads it out loud, and the evil thing is released.

The subtitles available are: English, Danish, Finnish, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.

The soundtrack is available in: English, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

It's a good film, very enjoyable for any adult sat with children, and only a little bit scary for the young.

It is obvious that Titan Read does not know the Sackett series. The first book should be Sacletts Land, followed by The Far Blue mountians, ect. As an avid reader of most these books, twice through, I know from where I come. This then brings into question the rest Series and the order of those books therein.

The Christmas Wedding
The Christmas Wedding
Family is important to Gaby Summerhill, and since her husband Peter's death three years before, her family hasn't spent Christmas together. Christmas is the season for Believing and Family is the reason for the season ... Gaby is bound and determined to get her four adult children and their families back to the family home in Massachusetts to celebrate a good old family Christmas like they had in the past. Come step into Gaby's world and see how she gets her wayward family to come home for the holidays in The Christmas Wedding.

Widow Gaby Summerhill feels like her family has lost touch with each other ... her four adult children have all gotten caught up in their own lives, and family get togethers have stopped since the death of her husband Peter, three years before. Determined to bring her family back together again for the Christmas holiday, Gaby hatches a plan that will bring her wayward children back to the family farm in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Using her zany creativity, she starts to send her children videos 24 days before Christmas announcing that she is getting married, and that the groom will not be revealed until the wedding on Christmas Day. Each video she sends documents the updates of the pending nuptials, she is whetting their appetite to solve the mystery of who the groom will be ... funny thing is ... the three men that have asked for her hand in marriage don't even know which one of them will be the lucky groom! Is this enough to bring her children and their families home for the holidays? Will there be a Christmas Day wedding, or is Gaby just using that as an excuse to get them back together again as a closer family? Will each of her four children be able to leave their daily lives full of ups and downs to go home for a family Christmas celebration? Can you really ever go back home? These questions and so much more will be answered in The Christmas Wedding.

As a diehard fan of James Patterson's books, he has written another book that simply made me ride the emotional roller coaster once again. The storyline is so intriguing, I loved how the story is narrated by Gaby, and how the chapters alternate between Gaby's videotapes and on each of her four adult children: Claire, Lizzie, Emily and Seth. In Gaby's chapters, she documents the updates of the pending nuptials for her children, and introduces the reader to the three potential grooms: Tom Hayden, Jacob Coleman and Brother-in-Law Martin Summerhill. In each of the children's chapters, the reader learns about each of them and their families, and the lives that they each lead. In true James Patterson form, the story keeps you guessing until the end who the groom will be, if there will be a wedding, and what happens in each of the Summerhill childrens' lives. This fascinating weaving and intertwining of the Summerhill family's life stories is a heartwarming holiday read that will leave you tingling with the sentimentality that comes along with the Christmas holiday season. Most of all you will come away with a very important message that is such an integral part of the Christmas season: the importance of family ... that families always stick together and will always have each other through the good and bad times!

The Dirty Book Club
The Dirty Book Club
Picked this book out for a book club. The description was better than the book itself! The writing was terrible and annoying. It’s about a group of women who are best friend; come to each other’s homes, know each other’s husbands, watch each other’s kids grow up, that sort of thing. They form a secret book club / pact after one of them suggests a very explicit book for a housewife to be reading in the early, 60’s. The pact is that they would all read this book, take things from it and use it in their lives, learn from it, and when they were in their old age, move to Paris when their husbands died. Which they do, but I guess not before meeting their counterpart and passing on the “torch”. It’s a fun concept. The original women compatible and you were able to feel their chemistry and laugh with them, these new women are CLEARLY not meant to be friends and are not compatible in any way. The way they act towards one another is not entertaining, its more annoying and rude. The main character; M.J is such a martyr, always mopey, and was a snob at times. Also, there was this one rubber band thing she did that just came out of nowhere and did not make any sense but was supposed to be some sort of coping mechanism but was never mentioned in the beginning of the book, it was just dropped in the story. There are other things that annoyed us about this book, but I can’t recall all of them, these were just a couple things that stuck out to us. Our group only got to chapter 12 and we had to stop, the book was trash. Unfortunately, the deadline for a refund was yesterday! I wish I could get my $9.99 back. Hopefully, this helps you not waste your time or your money like we did.
The Tinker's Girl
The Tinker's Girl
Another amazing book by Cookson. I love her dialogue and how she manages to take you into her story through her musical use of words. The story really shows you how not all we think we want is best for us and how the wonders and joys of life can manifest themselves in unexpected places. My only concern is that it seems to be a trend for Cookson for someone in her story to always end up with a cold that almost kills them. I know this happened quite often in the era during which the story takes place, but my goodness! Every story!!Other than that, I was not at all disappointed. <3

Prom Nights from Hell (Madison Avery)
Prom Nights from Hell (Madison Avery)
I bought this book because I'm a huge Kim Harrison fan so wanted to read her story in it. I rarely ever read young adult fiction, so hadn't even realized this book existed until a few days ago, even though I have read the other "Hell" anthologies like Dates From Hell. I'm glad I finally discovered it!

I don't hand out five stars frivolously, but this anthology surely deserves it. I thought all five stories were solid and I thoroughly enjoyed reading all of them, even though it's been a few decades since I was a young adult myself. All of the authors were new to me except for Kim Harrison, which makes it a treat to discover others I may enjoy reading more of in the future.

The Exterminator's Daughter by Meg Cabot was a fun story that immediately drew me in. The character Mary is a typical teen outsider due to being new at the school she's attending and being different than other kids. Her differences are both mundane and unusual, such as being the daughter of an exterminator who is now a vampire herself. The story doesn't have much depth and is quite formulaic, but that isn't always a bad thing. After all, those formulas are successful for a reason! The story was a fun read that I enjoyed.

The Corsage by Lauren Myracle is one of those stories where you know where it's going but you have to keep reading anyway. The story is based on The Monkey's Paw and is a classic tale of the dangers of magical wishing, mostly because the wisher generally isn't smart enough to forsee consequences or believe there will be a cost exacted. The ending, while predictable, is suitably creepy in a Stephen Kingesque way. This was another fun read.

While I mentioned that the two above stories were fairly predictable, that should probably be put in perspective. After all, I'm 47 and have been an avid reader since I was 8. That's a lot of years of reading and experiencing a lot of the common types of tales. They may not seem that way at all to a younger reader.

Madison Avery and the Dim Reaper was the reason I purchased the book and Ms. Harrison did not let me down. The story was unique and entertaining. The main character, Madison, is not really a very sympathetic character to start with. Her date at the prom accused her of being a bitch and I have to say I rather agreed. But that's okay because it allows plenty of room for character change and growth. One weak point in the story was where the whole reaper thing was revealed. It seemed a bit contrived and Madison seemed a bit too quick on the uptake. But otherwise it was a well-crafted and interesting story. Though it does leave you hanging at the end.

Kiss and Tell by Michele Jaffe is a great story with humor, sadness, and mystery. The story had me chuckling outloud several times, and then would suddenly switch tone and add a bit of heartache. I think this was my favorite story of the bunch because I really enjoyed the humor, but it's a really close call between the last three. Here's a quote from the story that I loved, mainly because I can totally relate: "Thinking, not for the first time, that life should come with a trapdoor. Just a little exit hatch you could disappear through when you'd utterly and completely mortified yourself."

The final story, Hell on Earth by Stephenie Meyer, was also very unique and entertaining. It's also the only story in the anthology that begins with a male protagonist. It started off with a fairly slow pace, but built up a bit of speed as more evidence appeared indicating that things weren't quite right. My absolute favorite part of the story was the conversation between Sheba and Jezebel, which revealed a lot about demon culture, which is rather backwards to our way of thinking, and it was quite amusing because of that. Here's a quote: "Virtue corrupts." This story not only leaves things hanging, like the Harrison story, but I felt it ended too abruptly. Though it was a good enough story to forgive that.

A common theme throughout all these stories is teenagers dealing with being outsiders, which is something many young adults can identify with. Maybe especially those who tend to be drawn to this genre. None of the stories are written in a patronizing manner, making teens look sillier and dumber than they are. These stories are intended for an intelligent audience, which is probably why I ended up enjoying them so much even if I am well past the target age. I highly recommend this anthology for lovers of this genre both young and old.

Ring A Ding
Ring A Ding
I bought this book having just finished 'Humdinger' by the same author, which I thought was absolutely brilliant. This book wasn't quite as good, as I thought the characters could have been better developed. I got the feeling that this novel was written more quickly than Humdinger, although I may be wrong.

Having said that, the story moves swiftly along when the owner of the Trade Winds hotel, CC , brings money troubles back from Las Vegas, along with his new fiance (Stacy). The hotel manager Rick, is an all round nice bloke and tries to help Stacy when things start going very badly wrong for her and CC. The policeman in the story, John, is thoroughly horrible, but as in Sam Stone's other book 'Humdinger' the truly horrible characters get their come uppance in a believable way.

I read this in 2 days flat, and for 99p it's pretty good. Not a classic maybe, but a quick, entertaining read.

The Song of Ruth, a Love Story from the Old Testament
I read this years ago and so was thrilled to see I could get a copy of my own to read along with my Bible study of the book of Ruth. Of course this is fiction but the author researched a lot about the culture at the time and that is what I was hoping for.
Funko Advent Calendar: Harry Potter 2019, 24Pc
Funko Advent Calendar: Harry Potter 2019, 24Pc
As a total Potterhead I couldn't resist this Funko Pop Advent Calendar and I really enjoyed opening a door each day and seeing which character was revealed. Overall I was impressed with the design of most of the characters and I loved that we got some that I've not seen as larger pops before. I think at full recommended retail price it's a little on the high side but luckily I was able to pick it up for half price at the end of November so I think I got quite a bargain.

I've seen several reviewers mention duplicates or missing pops but I was one of the lucky ones who didn't have that issue. Now we're well past December I feel happy to post pictures of each of the pops received but if you don't want spoilers then you should probably avoid reading anymore of this review!

If you want to know how big the pops are I took this pic of the full sized Harry Funko, next to the calendar one and a Funko Mini. It's a little smaller than I was expecting but they've still managed to include all the details you'd expect. I think they're probably closest in size to the Funko keyrings that you can buy but I don't have one of those on hand to show a comparison.

So lets talk about the pops included:

I was surprised that the calendar didn't start with Harry, Hermione and Ron but I think all four of these pops are cute. The only one I didn't immediately recognise is Fleur but all of the others are obvious at first glance. Harry has a weird shaped hand but Ginny's freckles are adorable, I think Fleur's her dress is a little on the plain side but she has pretty flowers in her hair that make up for it and I think they did a good job with Viktor's uniform.

I was happy to see Professors McGonagall and Snape but I wasn't that fussed about getting Igor Karkaroff, it's not a bad pop, just not one I was excited to open. I love the Fred & George (see next picture) pops, at first I thought they were completely identical (I mean they are identical twins!) but noticing the slightly different hair styles made me like them even more.

I've not seen pops for Padma, Parvati or Cho before so I thought they were nice additions to the collection.

The attention to detail really shows with Madame Maxime who is taller than all of the other pops in the calendar and I really love that Filch is holding a teeny Mrs Norris! We have Ron in his ugly hand-me-down robes and a brilliant version of Mad-Eye Moody too.

Dumbledore looks very snazzy in his purple dress robes and I really like the faces of Cedric, Neville & Draco who were again easy to recognise. I was disappointed that the last 3 had identical bodies though, all with a stupid fat hand that has no fingers (if you look at the other pics you'll see this is the same body used for the first Harry pop too!).

I was so happy to find Hagrid but I was getting annoyed that I was on day 21 with no sign of Hermione, especially when I opened day 22 and found a second Ron! It's not a duplicate, if you look at them together he's removed his jacket in the second version but why do we need two of him? FINALLY Hermione is behind door 23 and I couldn't be happier because she is so pretty in her Yule Ball dress. The final door was a second version of Harry, again without his jacket. Why? Why would they do that?

So we get 2 versions of both Harry and Ron but only one Hermione?! To be honest I'm disappointed there were any duplicated characters at all and I really don't think there was any need for it. I can think of so many other characters that they could have used for those 2 extra pops. What about Luna and Dobby? Those would be my top pics but if not them there's still lots of teachers to choose from, Professors Flitwick or Sprout, Madam Hooch, they could have even gone a different route and added Voldemort. ANY of those options would have been better than duplicates in my mind and that's what knocked a star off of my rating.

With the adventures of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling singlehandedly saved the publishing industry. It is impossible to overstate the impact these books had on both child and adult readers. The anticipation for the next sequel! The midnight release parties! While you missed all that excitement, you now have the joys of being able to read all the books at once.

Please do read the books; don’t just watch the movies.

PARENTS BEWARE: As Harry Potter ages, the subject matter grows more mature. J.K. Rowling was quite clear that she was not writing for young children. These books grow increasingly more intense. Exercise caution.

Silver Buffalo HP9895B Warner Bros Harry Potter Hogwarts School Crest Cauldron 3D Sculpted Ceramic Mug, 20-ounces, Black
Let me begin by saying that this item is by no means "bad." I like the overall appearance and link to a beloved property. However, there are some discrepancies between the product advertised here and the actual object which I received. I believe that it is worth outlining the differences here in order to educate others who may be thinking about purchasing this item.

The first thing I noticed upon receiving this item is that it is not actually black and white, despite being both pictured and described that way on it's item page. The spaces which are shown as white are actually painted light grey, and rather poorly at that. The color frequently bleeds off into the other colored areas giving the goblet a somewhat unprofessional look. (See pictures.)

Secondly, it is printed right on the product packaging that this vessel holds 14 ounces of fluid and NOT 20 ounces as is advertised right in the item description. That's a whole ¾ cup difference!

Third, some of the detailing which is shown in crisp sharp relief in the item pictured on the webpage is actually somewhat blurred and subdued on the product which I received.(see pictures also). It makes me suspect that when producing this for mass market release inferior castings were churned out.

Lastly, (and this is really a minor point,) there is a lip that overhangs the inside of the cup which means that no matter how severe the angle you tilt the goblet, you will never get those last few drops of your beverage.

All of that said this is still a really cool drinking vessel, but one should be aware when purchasing of the inaccuracies inherent in what is portrayed here versus what you actually get. I think the advertised product has a more elegant feel over all, but the reality of the goblet is still pretty good.
Forum Novelties Men's Grand Wizard Deluxe Designer Adult Plus Size Costume
Forum Novelties Men's Grand Wizard Deluxe Designer Adult Plus Size Costume
My husband incorporated this as part of an Albus Dumbledore costume this year. He is 5' 11" and 240 lbs and it fit well. It would have been perfect if only 2 inches longer. He wore knee-length black socks and some slippers and it looked fine anyway. We did not use the hat. Instead, I bought an "official" Dumbledore hat online that looked much more authentic, despite not matching the robe color. Since this is a wizard's robe, you would think it would have a pocket for your wand, but alas, it does not. I recommend spending some time with needle and thread sewing a short strap inside the outer cloak for wand storage and a "quick draw" when needed. We are pleased to add this to our growing costume collection. Note: If you are considering the Dumbledore look, we recommend you also shop for a theatrical-quality beard and wig. It will cost as at least much as the robe and requires some skill to attach with spirit gum, but the effect will be much more realistic.

Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban Sirius Black Film Cell Bookmark
This is one of the coolest bookmarks I've seen. It is luck of the draw as to which scene your film cell is from and I happened to get a really cool one with Hermione.

Overall quality is a 8/10 because the laminate seemed to already have lots of light surface scratches, and some adhesive, maybe even a booger on the front? Either way it cleaned up easy enough and I can't complain for the price.

My wife surprised me with the 20th anniversary Gryffindor edition books and this will be a really fun book addition to that collection.
Harry Potter A Pop Up Guide To Hogwarts
Harry Potter A Pop Up Guide To Hogwarts
I was very disappointed with this book, I'll explain why. I have quite a few pop-up books of which some are even carousel dollhouses from the 90s that were actually played with and remain functional and in good condition, so I have those books in mind to compare with the quality and durability of the papers used in this book, as well as certain technical choices of paper engineering.

Let me start by saying there is a video on Youtube showing the book in action, and I highly recommend you look it up. That video is very well edited, HOWEVER the book did not have anywhere near the same wow factor in person. In the video the book looks very impressive but in reality it is very cheaply made using some of the weakest paper I've seen considering the price.
The price is insanely high considering the poor quality and durablity of the item. The paper is thin and will wear with only a few uses. The pull tabs, especially the Pink Lady, is too easily ripped because that kind of engineering would require sturdier paper and more careful assembly by those who put it together (in fact those tears are visible at 1:42 in the youtube video I mentioned, just watch the bottom of the Pink Lady portrait there when it's pulled open).
Also, some of the worst decisions were the tab-slot fittings in openable doors, which should have been fixed. Since they couldn't be bothered to glue those parts neatly, when you try to pull the doors open the tabs easily come out of the slits while also tearing them wider, destroying the fit - you will have to glue them yourself as a repair and paint the frayed damaged white bits with ink markers.
Some elements don't always fold back to where they should so you need to be extra careful and adjust things while slowly closing the pop-ups - it shouldn't be that way. Some of the higher structures seem to not successfully come into place, with walls just sticking inwards or outwards awkwardly, looking ugly and unimpressive.
Finally, the colors also seemed somewhat dull and lifeless, a bit on the grey side and not very saturated, but that's the least of the problems.

Positive points are some of the smaller pop-ups, the Forbidden Forest which was well thought out and works well, and the Quidditch pitch although I had to insert a knife to open some of the towers. But the few positives don't justify the price, at least not in my opinion.

To summarize, what appalled me the most was really the low quality of the paper. In person it's thin and fragile, with pointy bits and corners already bent and frayed even in new condition. This book had great paper engineering ideas but sadly they were poorly implemented because the makers decided to cut corners on paper quality - and yet still demand a ridiculous price for the final result.
It's an expensive book, so I don't recommend it unless someone is an avid Harry Potter collector and just wants it for that reason.

Harry Potter Marauder's Map Porcelain 3 Piece Canister Set - Three Sizes with Gold Marauders Map Design
Love the product but received a set that had clearly been used. I showed them to my roommate who said, “You already filled them!” apparently she could smell the flour in one of the canisters. They’re not dishwasher safe so I used a lot of vinegar and dish soap to get them close to feeling safe to put food products in, and I’m still a little leery. One of the others had dark specks that I suspect was coffee.
The Magician of Lublin
The Magician of Lublin
Singer is one of the great writers of his generation and the Nobel committee recognised this decades ago. "For how long can a man be surprised" was his typical answer when a TV crew finally caught up with him on the day when he received the Nobel prize. Here is another typical Singer "extract" from another book for which I love this man: "Not long ago I had read that each atom was a sort of solar system. I, David, the rabbi’s son, was sitting in the midst of eternity, turning with the earth on its axis, which in turn was circling the sun. I myself was an entire cosmos. Yet I also felt very fearful: I was a cosmos that had nowhere to spend the night."
The Greek Mythology in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"
The Greek Mythology in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"
This is a very organized and thorough comparison between aspects of Harry Potter and Greek mythology. The text is very understandable but with enough knowledge to move it beyond simplistic. The book is also organized well with ten classifications. A must for a true Harry Potter fan!

Harry Potter Intimo Big Girls Hogwarts Crest Jogger Pajama Set
My ten year old granddaughter loves these pjs! She’s a Harry Potter fan. She is usually a size 8 and I bought her the 10/12. The top fits great and the pants are a tad big on her. She is slim overall and it’s hard to get pants to fit her slight waist. These were really a great overall fit!

Harry Potter Style Banner - Hufflepuff Flag 37x24 in - Printed on Both Sides - Durable Enough for Outside Conditions - Perfect Barware Man Cave Gift - Unique HP Collectible Accessories
I purchased all four banners (each Hogwarts house) from Amazon. All except for Hufflepuff came in as expected: 2 sided printing, double stitching, and seem very durable. However, the Hufflepuff banner is single sided, incredibly thin, and I'm sure I could easily tear it with my hands.

I will update this review after returning this item and purchasing it again (I immediately returned it upon opening and seeing the poor quality). Hopefully it was a mistake and the next banner will be the quality of the other three banners, but this first version of Hufflepuff I received was incredibly shoddy.

Baby Crib Mobile, Soothing Musical Hanging Baby Mobile Toy for Boys or Girls, Gorgeous Lavender & White Decoration and Infant Gift
I am so pleased with this beautiful mobile. When I opened the box.....which was beautiful in itself........I literally gasped. The pics online don't adequately belay the exquisite colors and lovely workmanship. Each little balloon has a little yarn-made basket that really has an opening. All of the pieces for mounting have a velour delicate cover. It was packaged well to prevent damage and also ready to give as a gift with lovely tissue and beautiful script. I would definitely buy this again and have zero regrets. You won't be disappointed.

MakerHawk 2PCS 4 Ohm 3 Watt Speaker for A rduino Single Cavity Mini Speaker Full-Range Cavity Mobile Portable Advertising Machine Speaker with 11mm Line Length JST-PH2.0mm-2 pin Terminal
These MakerHawk 8ohm 3 Watt speakers are designed for 3.3volt and 5volt arduino projects but i can confirm that tgey work as general purpose audio project soeakers.

I purchased three pairs of 8ohm 3 Watt speakers on amazon fro three different manufacturers in the hopes of choosing a pair to add to my OQO model 02 umpc.

I decided to purchase 8ohm speakers since they require less power and because the onboard soundcard of my umpc is designed to drive a single paper thin piezo speaker.

I made a playlist on tge Winamp audio player program on my Windows XP Pro SP3 OQO model02 umpc with electronic genre music which has a wide range of both high and low frequencies. I turned the volume all the way up and bypassed the onboard OQO model 02's single paper thin quarter sized piezo speaker located on the plastic cooling fan housing which reproduces nothing but higher frequencies and clips very often when crank up tge volume between 60% and 100%. I temporarily touched the leads of all three speakers one at a time during my test.

The smallest speaker is oval shaped and has a clear mylar cone. It iss about 10% louder and has improved the bass response from (non existant) to the amount of low frequency production of a smartphone speaker. The smallest speaker is a (no go) for my project.

The medium sized speaker has a black wraved fabric cone. It is about 30% louder and the bass response is improved from (non existant) to the amount of low frequency production of a netbook speaker. I atribute the improved bass response to the boxed housing and breathing port. I noticed a lot of cliping on the higher frequencies with this speaker similar to the onboard piezo speaker. The medium speaker is a (no go) for my project.

The large MakerHawk soeaker has a textured metal cone and black foam surrounding. When i touched the leads of the large MakerHawk speaker i was amazed at how much volume and low frequencies were being produced from such a tiny speaker. The overall volume is increased by 400% and the bass response is increased from non existant to about the low frequency production of a small keychain bluetooth speaker.

I plan to permanently attach two of these speakers to either sude of my OQO umpc. It will now have two front facing speakers which together will produce many times more volume with some much wanted low frequency bass response.

The plastic boxed housing is very sturdy and improves the low frequencies. There is no breathing port on the boxed housing which i might add by using a 1/8 of an inch drill bit.

The leads are nice and thick which is always a plus for sound transfer. The two onboard screw hole brackets allow for secure mounting even though i only need one of them.

They also look beautiful with their shiny textured metal cones. I have always liked the look of metal cones vs. clear mylar, black paper, or weaved fabric cones.

You will love adding them to your mods and projects.

MoKo Scarf Mask Bandana with Ear Loops 3 Pack, Neck Gaiter Balaclava UV Sun Protection Face Mask for Dust Wind Outdoors Motorcycle Cycle Bandana Headband for Women Men
I think this is one of the easiest face coverings I have worn yet. The material is so breathable, it hardly feels like it's on. I enjoy this benefit because I'm often working pretty hard Ina factory like setting and can get very out of breath and exhausted with too thick of a fabric. Some might be apprehensive if worried you might get Covid-19. I'm mostly confident it will work to prevent others from getting sick if I get sick, which I think is mostly the point, and I also keep my distance from others when I'm working. I mainly want a mask that's breathable or else I get light headed from wearing it too much.
2020 Collector Car Price Guide
2020 Collector Car Price Guide
This book, and earlier editions of it, have helped me in purchasing several "antique" cars. One has to really understand the rating system to use it properly but, in general, the rating system is described pretty well.
The book, current and past, have also kept me from purchasing overpriced cars - thankfully.
I have been using this guide for a good 20 years.
Joan Baez: The Last Leaf
Joan Baez: The Last Leaf
Joan Baez: The Last Leaf by Elizabeth Thomson should quickly become the definitive biography of Joan Baez. Neither the music, the activism, nor the personal life is given less than their due. This is a complete, as in well-rounded, biography.

I admit to being a big fan, of her music and her activism. I fully expected to like this biography but I expected, which is what usually happens, to hope for the next biography to focus on what this one didn't. Well, Thomson manages to focus on all aspects of her life and career while still making it all flow. I have rarely been this impressed with a work about a complex celebrity.

Whether you're a fan of hers, or simply a fan of music history, this will offer wonderful insights into the folk world and the pop world from 1959 to now. If you're interested in social and cultural history, especially social justice and human rights, this will show not only what Baez did but also what a sincere impassioned activist in general can, and should, do. It is admittedly difficult for anyone to always stand up for what they believe is right, yet Baez succeeded far better than the vast majority of us, famous or not.

I think what makes this book really stand out is that it does not become just a recitation of what happened when, then what happened next, etc. There is depth and analysis here. Yet Thomson also doesn't get bogged down in analysis just for the sake of analysis. The flow of the book, from events to the hows and whys, is seamless and the reader gets swept along. I felt like I was reliving some of those times but with new perspective and insight.

Eine Nacht im Paradies (Geschenk-Edition)
meiner Frau. Empfehlung!

ZAGG InvisibleShield Glass+ Screen Protector – High-Definition Tempered Glass Made for iPhone 12 Pro Max – Impact & Scratch Protection, Clear, 200106693
Very easy to install especially with the bracket. Just need to pay attention to which one is top and bottom. My husband did mine too quickly and it was up side down, but easy fix and it sticked to my screen within seconds. When he installed his on his phone it was fast too. You won’t even know that it wasn’t installed by a professional.

We’ve used Zagg a green protectors for 3 years now and is very happy with its warranty. If we have any cracked on the screen protector, we just take it to Zagg’s booth inside Mall and they replaced and installed for us for a small acceptable fee. They will install it for you until you are happy with no tiny bubbles nor dusts.

Is it reliable? YES! We had Zagg screen protector installed with Element Case on my husband’s iPhone X. The phone fell down without us knowing and it got run over by our car. As soon as we realized the phone is missing, we returned to the spaces we parked and found the phone with no damage! The screen protector was badly damaged but the phone’s screen itself has no damage! So it is very strong and phone saver!!!

UGREEN MFI-Certified USB Type C to Lightning Nylon Braided Fast Charging Cable with Power Delivery [C94 Chip: Apple PD Quick-Charge for iPhone 8 and Above] - Space Gray [3.3 Feet / 1 Metres]

Natural Factors, Chewable DGL 400 mg, Licorice Root, Vegan, 180 tablets (180 servings)
I've been dealing with moderate to severe acid reflux and gastritis for awhile. Natural Factors DGL has been a staple of my regime for all that time. Until now.

I just got a delivery and they have made some absolutely horrid formula changes. I can deal with the fact that product tastes absolutely terrible now (if you thought it tasted bad before....) and has a chalk like consistency due to the new formula, but what I cannot deal with is all the ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS they have packed into it now. Added to the ingredient list is Stevia Leaf and Xylitol. WHY?! Stevia is known to not be particularly great on the digestive tract.. So WHY would you put it in the formula of an item for people with DIGESTIVE ISSUES?

I personally have a serious issue digesting stevia products and I can already feel my stomach aching within 10 minutes of taking this product, instead of the usual relief I've depending on Natural Factors to provide for years.

Anyway, just thought I'd give other customers a heads up of this product change. For me, it's a deal breaker. If you have stomach issues (I assume you do if you're taking this product) it should probably be a deal breaker for you too. Research stevia's effect on the digestive tract and choose a brand that isn't cutting costs by making your condition worse.
Starwest Botanicals Organic 6" Raíz de regaliz, 4 onzas
Starwest Botanicals Organic 6" Raíz de regaliz, 4 onzas
You either love to chew on licorice root sticks, or you don't. If you do, then this is the perfect licorice root stick. They dig up the roots, clean them, and chop them up into about four inch lengths, and package them. It's as natural as you can get without actually doing the harvesting yourself.

The things I like about licorice root sticks:
* no chemical nothing - just a natural root that you chew on
* they are naturally sweet, but not overly so
* this is where the REAL licorice flavor comes from, and if you love licorice, this is the genuine article - it tastes like what real licorice is supposed to taste, not the stuff that they make with anise flavoring or chemicals from some New Jersey industrial plant.
* you can use it to clean your teeth and massage your gums, if you're into that sort of thing.
* the aftertaste is fantastic - actually, this is my favorite thing. If you rinse your mouth out with a drink of water after you're done with your stick, it will leave a wonderful, refreshing taste in your mouth, and your breath will smell nice to others.
* it actually helps calm my stomach when my tummy is feeling upset. I'm not sure why, but it's a natural herbal product, and so it has natural herbal stuff that does stuff to you. All I know is that if my tummy is a bit sour or sore, chewing on this stuff will help it feel better almost every time.

The negatives:
* you're chewing on a stick!
* it breaks down and gets splintery, which is how the flavors get released, but if you're not careful, you will end up with a mouthful of wood chips clogging up the works.
* After you're done chewing on the stick, it's really gross looking. So you have to find ways to get rid of this without making people gag. Fortunately, it's totally biodegradable, and if you are driving down the highway, it's probably fine to just toss it out the window - it's just a stick, after all...

Nobody I've known in my life has ever understood my love for licorice root sticks (I've chewed on them since I was 13 years old - over fifty years!). But that doesn't bum me out, because I know that nobody is going to be raiding my stash!
