Investing QuickStart Guide: The Simplified Beginner's Guide to Successfully Navigating the Stock Market, Growing Your Wealth & Creating a Secure Financial Future
Investing QuickStart Guide: The Simplified Beginner's Guide to Successfully Navigating the Stock Market, Growing Your Wealth & Creating a Secure Financial Future
Note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you, ClydeBank Media!

Oh, boy. This was a good book overall, but I definitely have some Opinions on it.

First, the good.
1. This is truly an absolute beginner's guide to investing. When many books say that they're a beginning guide to fill-in-the-blank topic, a lot of times they're only sort of right in that they expect you to know some definitions and some basic idea of the topic already. Not so with this book. Probably the book's greatest strength is that it starts from the very beginning. In that vein...
2-3. I loved how the first few chapters had really great fundamentals of investing, including really great definitions and little story problem math examples on how the various items worked.
3. The chapter on various financial statement analysis metrics was another very good introduction to the topic.
4. He had a really good emphasis on not freaking out when your investments are down and selling off based on feelings. Buy low, sell high is a fundamental that you cannot go wrong on. It's just figuring out the highs and lows that can get ya, as is the way that "traditional" investing works.

And the weaknesses. For the sake of full disclosure, many of these items I consider to be weaknesses because I do not agree with the author's strategy of investing. I'll explain as I go.

1. Throughout the book, I felt really confused as to whom this book was meant for. The beginning chapters had all the great definitions and story problems. There was another chapter where he talked about how he as a financial advisor wasn't snobby enough not to want to advise middle class people (vs those advisors that only accept people with over a certain threshold to invest). Those things made me think that this was for the Average Joan like me who wants to save for retirement. But then, there was this whole long chapter on derivatives, futures, options, etc. His warning about how risky these instruments are was not as fear-inspiring as I felt it should have been had this truly been a book for the Average Joan like me. Which also leads into...
2. YOU CANNOT HAVE A DISCUSSION ABOUT ROTH IRAS WITHOUT DISCUSSING NOW VS FUTURE TAX RATES. I'M SORRY, BUT YOU CANNOT. Seriously. The author does not misstate the benefits of Roth IRAs in that their growth is not taxable, but you also have to take into account that if you're waiting until retirement to pull from the Roth, you will PROBABLY have a lower tax rate by then (in which case you should think about putting the bulk of what you can into traditional IRA so that you pay less money in taxes OVERALL IN YOUR LIFETIME.
3. Here's where we get into critiques because I do not agree with the author's overall strategy. The author believes that "The mark of an excellent investor is to consistently outperform the market." Over time, the total stock market average growth is 8%. Why shouldn't I just come up with a good asset allocation and just invest my money in a total stock market index fund?? As the Average Joan investor, I don't have time to perform fundamental analysis for every stock I pick, and I am certainly not going to have any sort of information that gives me any insight that people who actually do this for a living will have. The author briefly mentions indexes, but he doesn't present a compelling case either for or against them. Which brings us to....
4. Fees. There is a short discussion of mutual funds/index funds, but there is NOT ENOUGH EMPHASIS on how actively traded funds include all sorts of micro fees and commissions and everything that absolutely DEVASTATE your investment growth over time. There is no discussion on the numbers behind why you want a fund that has 1% or less in fees as well as being a fund that doesn't generate a high trading volume (back to point 3: as the Average Joan investor, I buy and hold because I'm literally investing in the ENTIRE stock market with my low-cost index fund. Unless the literal apocalypse comes, I'm betting with my money that the market will rally over the long term, and I'd rather have the stability of the entire stock market than have to make guesses about what's going to go up and down in an attempt to beat the market).
5. The author overstates the benevolence/effectiveness of financial advisors. To be fair, he did mention that you should expect your advisor to have an ethics statement as well as to be fully transparent about their fees. However, he did not emphasize enough that they need to be EXPLICIT about whether they are legally required to act as your fiduciary or not. If they're not your fiduciary, there is no incentive for them not to push you into riskier investments where they might have a commission you don't know about. I do concede his point that advisors potentially help keep a client from selling off in times of panic, but you have to have the right advisor.
6. There is a cursory chapter on FIRE at the end of the book. Which is fine, but....due to his own interests of being a financial advisor (and therefore wanting your business to come to his company) there is no discussion on the actual fundamentals about how most FIRE people go about it. There's no discussion of the benefits of index funds and no discussion on safe withdrawal rates (which I consider to be two of the most fundamental parts of most FIRE plans).

So there you have it. As a "traditional" investment book (i.e. pick your specific stocks, use an advisor, etc.) this is a good book. But when there's so much data out there on how likely it is that you will consistently beat the market with your individual investments (view spoiler) I'm just not convinced that my total stock market index fund will be any worse than the alternative. In the words of John Bogle in The Little Book of Common Sense Investing, “Don't look for the needle in the haystack. Just buy the haystack!”

Amazon Income: How Anyone of Any Age, Location, and/or Background Can Build a Highly Profitable Online Business With Amazon
Very well done overview of all different aspects to make money online with Amazon. I was surprised by how many money making methods it covered. Some of the information is already out of date because things change very quickly on the river. However, basic information stays the same. And one of the best features of this book is it gives you just enough information to get started. Most online sellers will tell you that learning from your own experiences (mistakes) is part of the job. I consider this book a great reference tool.

All but three of the songs have typical dumbed-down piano arrangements with right-hand melody. You’re not going to learn any cool soul riffs here.

I was hoping to find a nice transcription of "Good To Me As I Am To You" (this book has the only known arrangement of it) but was disappointed. See the photo.

Tom Petty & Bob Dylan Karaoke Disc - Legends Series CDG
I am critical about everything in my life; so understand, I have high standards about how I like things to be and I like to keep things the way they use to be, like classic rock.

This Karaoke CD doesn't sound all that good but, it doesn't sound all that bad either. Just don't use it for professional reasons, like auditioning for "America's Got Talent" or live performances at fairgrounds or bars. Use it for personal entertainment, Karaoke bars, in your car driving home from work or practice at home.

Oster BLSTTSCB2000 Texture Select Settings Pro Blender with 2 Blend-N-Go Cups and Tritan Jar, Brushed Nickel
The Oster Blender is amazing and looks great on my counter. I've had it about 3 weeks now and after using it often, I can say this is a great deal. It blends to perfection. I also own the Ninja Duo Blender 1400, and this is slightly better in my opinion. Not only is the price cheaper, but you get two cups as well. There are less settings in the Oster than the Ninja, however it gets the job done. The Ninja has a very small filter that you have to clean every time you use it, (near the base). It is difficult to get in there and clean it, but you do not have that issue here. I think that alone makes it better in my eyes (one less step in the process). I like using this for my smoothies and salsas. My husband has used it for milkshakes and they taste like they just came out of a diner.

I added a video and pictures for your reference. I highly recommend this Oster Blender.

The Vision
The Vision
I finished The Vision about two weeks ago. Work keeps me quite busy. Here I am now, giving you my review for a decent book. Stick around and see what I think.

The Ugly: There are two instances in the book, just two but enough to drown out the book, where Mr. Koontz made one paragraph a complete sentence. All he did was kept saying “and” over and over again. It was like a complete rookie mistake. I don’t think he could have made that as a conscious effort. It was two run-on sentences that lasted almost an entire page.

The Bad: Even though there is an epic twist in the book, it was one you could see coming from miles away. There were way too many red herrings in the book to count. You could see them the second you read them. The only reason I’m not putting this as “the ugly” is because of the nice twist.

The Good: The story is best part here except for the obviousness of who the killer is. I’m not trying to give too much away because of the surprise, but just know, out of the works he has written up to this point this is the best story. Hopefully the writing gets better.

Final Thoughts: I was going to give this a 4-star rating, but those two sentences that ran for most of a page took away from the book. They aren’t until towards the end of the book, but enough to hurt the book. I would say read it.

Tolkien and C.S. Lewis: The Gift of Friendship
Tolkien and C.S. Lewis: The Gift of Friendship
The book introduces chapters with fictional vignettes of their lives that might have happened. This approach is a mixed blessing. Who really cares what may have happened in a biography? This approach does make the book an easy read. Duriez presents the lives of both of the men fairly accurately. He even tries to correct the common misconceptions of these two great men. Duriez asserts the men were friends to the end of their lives and they were not estranged by Lewis's marriage to Joy. Duriez writes all long friendships go through peaks and valleys. I tend to agree. I am well read in both Tolkien and Lewis and Duriez summarizes the plot lines of the some of the most well known books fairly well. The book is good as far as it goes. It even reveals some insights that I didn't know before, especially about Tolkien.

However, the book is more like parallel biographies rather than the tracing their friendship and how that friendship influenced their writing. The information in this book is presented far better in other places. Duriez really does not present anything new and interesting about Lewis and Tolkien in these pages. Sayer's biography of Lewis does a better job of presenting the influences on Lewis. Carpenter's book "The Inklings" does a better job of describing the friendships. Carpenter's biography of Tolkien tells the details of Tolkien's life far better. Duriez does not bring a fresh perspective.

I have quibbles about some of the facts in the book. The most glaring one is that Duriez asserts that Tolkien decided to change Bilbo's name to Bilbo from something else while he was writing the Lord of the Rings. "The Hobbit" was already published while he was writing the Lord of the Rings. Tolkien could not very well have changed Bilbo's name. It's possible that The Lord of the Rings was being developed before the Hobbit was published, but from Duriez own words the publisher was pushing Tolkien to write a sequel to the Hobbit and so Tolkien started work on The Lord of the Rings. Duriez must have meant something else or needs to clarify.

If you have not read a biography of Lewis or Tolkien, this book would be a good start. It is slightly repetitious and obvious, but it stays interesting. However, better books are out there on these men.
Sphere
Sphere
Well, Michael Crichton is starting to become one of my favorite authors. His plot lines are so creative, and he executes them pretty well. This book was no exception, in my mind, to the standard I have started to hold him to!

Throughout this book's journey, I was hooked. I mean, the ideas he comes up with are simply fantastic and so original in my mind. Synopsis: A sphere is found underwater, and a group of qualified people are sent to investigate it. They are in no way prepared for what happens next, and neither was I!

I don't want to say too much to give anything away, but the only things that annoyed me out of this book were two things. I thought the women characters were written poorly. Although he made the main woman, Beth, smart, he also made her emotionally unstable and a bit of a sexual object, particularly towards the end of the book, which irritated me. I feel like in real life, Beth would have had much more depth and would never do some of the things he had written. I also found some typos, including switching to first person for a couple of sentences instead of third and switching a character's name once. But I dismissed these irritations due to me really enjoying the plot line.

Some of the facts sprinkled into the book were fascinating, and I truly hope they are factual and not something he made up, because I am taking them as truth. Yes, I know I can google it but I am too lazy to do that. Most of the book is set far, far underwater and I feel as if I really learned some things about the deep ocean which was fascinating. For example, the most toxic creatures of the world are water creatures! And this is due to the ocean being an older living environment. Let me just nerd out for a bit over this and the other things I have learned while reading this book.

Anyway, off to pick up another book by him, and I highly recommend Sphere! You won't guess the ending, and it will definitely leave you thinking.
Eisberg: Ein Dirk-Pitt-Roman (Die Dirk-Pitt-Abenteuer 2) (German Edition)
Eisberg: Ein Dirk-Pitt-Roman (Die Dirk-Pitt-Abenteuer 2) (German Edition)
I haven't completed the German version yet but I read the English version at the library and then decided to purchase the German version which is a translation of the English. As far as I can tell, this is the first book in the series of Dirk Pitt novels and originally came out around 1976. It still reads well even with the changes that have taken place in technology and lifestyles since that time. I guess those of us who have been around since before that time may be able to relate to it better, however. I have now read two of his books and plan to read most, if not all of them, in the coming months. I like to read them in English and then in German. It helps me to maintain my competence in the German language. I'm now studying Spanish and French, and by the time I'm 70 (a couple of years away) I should be fairly fluent in them (using Pimsleur, Living Language, etc.) I'm guessing that Clyde's books would also be available in those languages, but you may need to know how the title translates in the other languages in order to search for them on the web or on Amazon's Kindle site.
Taira no Masakado
Taira no Masakado
Eiji Yoshikawa is one of my favorite authors - when properly translated. I've read several of his books that were well translated, and they draw you into the story line and characters while beautifully portraying a time and setting in historic Japan. Unfortunately, this version was badly translated. Very badly translated. Translating conversational language is a challenge, translating literature requires skills well beyond that. And this translator doesn't have those skills. Add faulty grammar and punctuation, and even the best author can be defeated.

Love those English authors!! Have read all of the books that she has written that you have available. Wish there were more. Almost didn't get the 1st Hamilton book as it had a poor review. Then I noticed that it was only one person's opinion and I gave it a try. Great writing. Could hardly wait to read the other 2 sequels.

Wilbur Smith Series Reading Order: Series List - In Order: Ballantyne series, Courtney series, Ancient Egyptian series, Wilbur Smith Thrillers (Listastik Series Reading Order Book 22)
Not as described. This is NOT a series reading order as suggested except for the Courtney Series. For example, the Egyptian Series is simply a list of publication dates NOT the order in which the books should be read - this is what I thought I was buying.

If you are seeking a guide as to reading order of the Ballantyne or Egyptian Series, then this is NOT the guide to buy.

Wish I could simply return it and get a refund. This was a complete waste of money, cheap and all as it may have been.

Very, very disappointed indeed!
Noah

Ignore the comments from Christians who object to the movie's not conforming to their idea of the Jewish text in the Old Testament. The Jewish text is quite rudimentary, and in any event I think it best that we Christians concentrate on the New Testament. Christianity is grafted onto Judaism, and the first "Christians" were Jews for Jesus. It's in fact an Eastern religion, in other words, and all of us need to get used to the fact that our American grannies or great-grannies didn't really have a clue about the complexity of the Bible.

The myth of a catastrophic flood predates both biblical testaments by quite a long shot. It appeared in Mesopotamian (pagan) literature and was picked up by the people compiling the Old Testament. There is no physical evidence from archaeologists attesting to the historical truth of the Flood. Myth is used in the Old Testament and parts of the New to indicate points that are too strong for empirical experience. Suffice it to say that there was a major rift between God and humans, and it seemed to call for ending the Creation Experiment abruptly and starting all over again. The movie is fairly good at demonstrating the "why" quite graphically via the evil by which degenerate humans gained the upper hand. But the resolution isn't exactly cheery. The point is that we humans are fairly worthless and have denied our beginnings, and our only competent place is the world is to be caretakers of Creation. I generally believe this in my own life and have lately begun to think that the whole purpose of opposable thumbs, for example--one of many things that some Christians think of as proof of human superiority and centrality in God's eyes--is simply to pick the ticks off animals. (Yes, I have a lot of animals, and this is a terrible year for ticks.)

The movie is a good teaching tool if you have a certain theology. But I cannot say the lesson learned is a pleasant one. We are screwing up right and left, and the movie is quite plain in representing that. Yes, there is a resolution at the end, but it seems a minor consolation for the recognition of all the damage we are doing to ourselves, other people, and the planet.

So the movie is worth watching, but don't expect to be heartened by its message. Let's get to work; get those opposable thumbs out there.

Looking at these bookends, it's actually kind of hard to tell that they're meant to be Hogwarts. They look like any ambiguous castle or, at a glance, perhaps row of houses in London. One of mine was bent on arrival, so my shelf doesn't stand perfectly neatly. I haven't had an opportunity to see how they glow in the dark, so I can't really speak to that.

ABYstyle - HARRY POTTER - Hufflepuff Keychain
This robust and sturdy keychain is most certainly one for your collection. It made a very happy girlfriend and has added a 10/10 from her for her collection. As you know being a key chain it has to take some scrapes knocks and bangs. But it is seriously holding up to the task. It's still looking original and scratch free and the emblem is still clearly and sharply visible. If you want quality for your hufflepuff addiction then this is certainly worth a buy.
Magic Cancer Bullet: How a Tiny Orange Pill May Rewrite Medical History
Magic Cancer Bullet: How a Tiny Orange Pill May Rewrite Medical History
The book title "Cancer's Magic Bullet" is an inaccurate statement so typical of Big Pharma. Does Gleevec work for patients with CML - yes, but there are only about 5,000 new CML patients diagnosed each year with CML versus 10-12,000,000 cancer sufferers overall. Gleevec may be CML's "Magic Bullet", but has no effect on more than 100 other cancers especially solid tumors.

How Novartis is cheating all of us - Cancer researchers George Miklos and Phillip Baird masterfully articulate the delusional problem infecting the science of cancer research by showing that cancer researchers, including Novartis, are close to having the worst record for investigational drugs in clinical development. Brian Druker, chair of Leukemia research and professor of medicine at the Oregon Health and Science University Cancer Institute was the key researcher behind the discovery of Gleevec, not Novartis.

Druker states, "My work in Oregon on a therapy for CML was primarily funded by public sources, particularly the National Cancer Institute...The approval of Gleevec by the FDA in May 2001 for use in CML was the culmination of a 10-year project for me, something I had dreamed of since medical school."

Meanwhile, the price tag for front-line cancer therapy has become obscene. In an essay Druker chastises Novartis for causing him "considerable discomfort" at the price at which Gleevec has been offered for sale by Novartis around the world. This goes against the spirit of the patent system and is not justified given the vital investments made by the public sector over decades that make the discovery of these medicines possible.

The Gleevec story should be seen in its proper clinical perspective. There is little point in singing the praises of Gleevec and pretending that it is a proof of principle for solid tumors or some kind of overall "Cancer Magic Bullet" since its use is limited to less than 1% of cancer patients.

Sharpie Tank Style Highlighters, Chisel Tip, Fluorescent Yellow, Box of 36 (1920938) & Permanent Markers, Fine Point, Black, 12 Count
I bought the 12-pack of fluorescent blue when it was only $5.99, but looks like the price went up since then. I personally didn't need to buy this many, but I couldn't find this color by itself in any other bulk sizes. The fluorescent blue is actually a lot more opaque than I was expecting, so I only use it to highlight underlined terms or important information in my notes. I removed a star because the coloration is just too dark to completely highlight a word -- it makes it harder to read, which is the complete opposite of what a highlighter should be doing! However, I do prefer the blue to yellow because it seems like the blue is more resistant to pencil lead and pen streaks because it's so saturated.

4 stars because I love this shade of blue and it makes note taking just a bit more enjoyable when you use your favorite color!

Micro USB Cable, 10FT[3 Pack] Extra Long Durable Charging Cord, Quick Charger Cable for Android, Samsung Galaxy S7 S6 Edge, Moto, PS4, Xbox, MP3, Camera, Echo Dot, Other Device(Black)
This is the second time I have bought this product.
I think that considering the amount of cords you get, the length of the cords, and the price, I cant find anything better on Amazon.
The 10ft long chargers are so much better than the average length ones and allow for so much more distance and mobility when your phone is charging. And honestly, since my smartphone's charge lasts less than half a day, it's pretty much ALWAYS charging, so the extra length cord is very neccessary.
The lifespan of all 3 of these chargers combined the first time I bought them was less than a year, but considering how much I abuse and bend them, I think they did pretty well surviving.
Again, for only $10, its worth it. I'd rather spend 10 bucks on a pack of three 10ft chargers here than spend 30 bucks on a 10ft charger from a Verizon store that will give out in the same amount of time as one charger from this Amazon pack.
When these new chargers eventually die, I will be buying them a third time.

PartyWoo Balloon Pump, 110V 600W Electric Balloon Pump, Electric Balloon Inflator, Balloon Pump Electric, Portable Balloon Inflator, Dual Nozzle Balloon Air Pump, Air Pump for Balloon Garland
I created this balloon install for my friends daughters grad party and this product was a life saver. Really. I would have died trying to blow up all these balloons. This machine takes a bit of finesse but once you get the hang of it it is smooth sailing. Has troubles w the smaller balloons and the long balloons. The trick is to hold the balloon on the nozzle and stretch the balloon until the latex is thin enough for the machine to push the air in. It also helps to stretch the balloon a few times to loosen the latex. Over all I am happy with this machine.

The air does blow out a little hot. So don't try to hold your finger over the holes. I can assume the heat is what helps the latex to expand.
Fast Focus: A Quick-Start Guide To Mastering Your Attention, Ignoring Distractions, And Getting More Done In Less Time!
Fast Focus: A Quick-Start Guide To Mastering Your Attention, Ignoring Distractions, And Getting More Done In Less Time!
As an avid reader, I thrive on learning new ways to improve my life, achieve more, and be more productive. A few months ago I discovered Damon Zahariades blog on productivity and I’ve been hooked since. Damon has a down to earth approach to making more out of your time and getting things done. His writing is witty, engaging, and practical on every level. He knows that few of us have the time or attention span to read through the verbiage to get to the meat of his ideas. Damon’s new book Fast Focus – A Quick-Start Guide To Mastering Your Attention, Ignoring Distractions, And Getting More Done is a gem that you need to pick up to embark on streamlining your life without added stress and work.

So many productivity books jump around and never really get to the point. Fast Focus is the exception and I was quickly engaged and immersed myself into Damon’s writing. As a professional with four boys I have been a self proclaimed multitasker extraordinaire for years. Guess what? Wrong! I finally admit that I can’t multitask and am not so great at blocking distractions out. Damon jumps right in and explains how his system can assist with showing us why it’s hard to keep focus, how to create an environment where we can focus, and 23 ways to fight distractions so we can get things done. I quickly related to the stories that Damon shared from his own distraction and productivity experiences and found myself nodding in agreement. Already, I have implemented some of his ideas and they work!

In particular, Fast Focus introduced me to the concept of “voluntary focus” which we all have. It is a muscle that can be strengthened with practice and time. I never thought about attention in this way and will gladly share this with my husband. What we can’t control is involuntary attention so let’s not even try. Damon calls out the key distracters to focus and if you are cell phone connected, you can guess what preys on most of us and the list does down from there. Even physical clutter can inhibit our success and as I looked around my own office, I cringed and made adjustments. Scents, lighting, background noise and air quality can be a key interrupter to focus.

Fast Focus offers 7 sound reasons why we need to strengthen our focus muscle for life improvement. In the past, I gave scant attentions to just how critical a honed in focus can impact my life. Most books don’t focus enough on the benefits to both our internal and external lives. One of these benefits will hit home for you:

Improved production
Stronger relationships with those that matter
A boost in your critical thinking
Better decision making
Increased grit (my favorite!)
Information retention
Increased self control.

These sure do sound like effective goals don’t they? This is a dream list for anyone interested in becoming more efficient and in growing both professionally and personally. For me, the real meat in Fast Focus is the numerous tactics to improve your focus. I suggest that you read them over and pick 5 to try over a 3 month period and see what improvements you see. Here are my favorites:

Limit daily task to 5 and no more or you will be overwhelmed
Do some aerobic exercises before you sit down to focus and work on your task list
Practice batch processing to keep your mind on one thing. For example, handle any tasks related to your email and online tasks in one session. Manage handwritten work within a separate work frame
Keep a log for a week or so to determine your peak energy levels. Choose your most productive times to tackle work
Tame your inner perfectionist. This one is a huge challenge for me. I focus too much on detail and perfection and it derails my results every time.

Reading Fast Focus is like having a conversation with a good friend and gleaning tips, tactics, and hacks in a relaxed format to apply to your life. Information that Damon shares is very actionable and to the point. He offers a quick test to gauge your current focusing ability (mine was embarrassing). You won’t waste any time reading through pages and of pages just trying to find insight that will help you. This book reads like a blue print for success and can be used as a road map to bring you efficiency and success. Again, my favorite section of the book is the tactics to improve focus in addition to the numerous links Damon offers us to digest more information.

This is the perfect time to make a new start to achieve your goals and strengthen your focus so you can breeze through this year with focused thoughts and less stress. Pick up a copy of Fast Focus today to get on the best track for success!

Wireless Charging Station for Multiple Devices, 48W 6 USB Ports Quick Charge 3.0 LCD Display, Wireless USB Charger Clock for Phone Tablet (C-7)
This thing is pretty good. I like the arrangement of buttons, the display is bright, but can be masked off with one of those light filtering stickers you can get here on amazon.
the usb ports work great and the fast charge port does, indeed, fast charge.
The problem is that the wireless pad DOES NOT fast charge. It doesn't explicitly say that in the product description, and in fact hints at multi-voltage charging on the pad.
Also the clock doesn't allow for 12hr format -only 24.
Lastly in the negative side of things the temperature seems way off.
That said, the piece is nice, solid, seems to work great, looks nice, charges great (from the ports), and can do wireless at the slow rate.

BROLAVIYA ® Headrest Suction Car Holder Stands for Both Mobile Phones and iPad Galaxy Tablets Use Size 4'-10.1' inch-Black by Iceberg Makers
It is good. Plastic is good quality.
I will suggest two things for all the users.
1. Fix this thing on the dashboard and while you put your phone or pad in it, put it in a way that your device touches the dashboard or you can say 'resting on your dashboard'. This will share the load of your device between dashboard and the mobile holder.
Nowadays devices are so heavy, that it doesn't matter how good quality plastic is used, it will breakoff after a period of time or will fall down when you hit a bump on the road.
2. Don't change the position of holder every now and then. Fix it at one place and consider that it is permanently fixed. Change the position of holder only when u have no option.
If you do these two things you will be very happy with this product.

For the money, and being plastic, these are light duty but great square rulers. Probably wouldn't last in an industrial setting, but for home use, they are perfect. I got a BIG piece of watercolor paper (22x30) and put one ruler on each side of the width of the paper and made a mark at the ends of each. Then I reversed them, and - wow! - the marks met perfectly near the middle. I have one commercial grade steel engineer's ruler, and each of these were marked perfectly accurately. This may be overkill for a review for inexpensive rulers, but I felt they deserved the rating!

I like having the map with the direction right in front of me. Don’t have to turn my head to look at my cell phone while I am driving anymore. Or reach for the phone.

The screen is sharp and easy to read.

I pressed the button on the steering wheel and said “Siri, direction to home”. Then the map with direction pops up. How cool is that!

I just press a button and ask Siri to make a call or press a button to answer a call.

I have a car without Bluetooth connection and so far, It is working out great for me. I highly recommend it.

Office Chair Computer High Back Adjustable Ergonomic Desk Chair Executive PU Leather Swivel Task Chair with Armrests Lumbar Support (Black)
Office Chair Computer High Back Adjustable Ergonomic Desk Chair Executive PU Leather Swivel Task Chair with Armrests Lumbar Support (Black)
Don't buy this chair, it looks nice, until further inspection. The parts are cheap, and a lot of the finishing is half assed. Most of the upholstery was done terribly. The screw holes where you attach the arm rests look like they just had someone cut it with a knife. Long use of this chair would surely mean these parts of the upholstery would just come undone.

Ignoring this warning sign, I decided to give it a 'sit test.' To preface, I'm a decent sized guy, 6'1 and 200 pounds, so taking that into account, it may be a different a different experience for you.

But man, what ever they used for the back bar or support for the frame of the chair is just digging into my back. I can barely sit on it for more than 15 minutes before my lower back is red hot. There is just no lumbar support.

I will hopefully be returning the chair as soon as I can, and if I can't get my money back, I'll throw it in the trash.
Brightest Day Vol. 2
Brightest Day Vol. 2
The second collected volume of Brightest Day sadly isn't as entertaining as the first, but it stands as a solid and decently entertaining build-up to the grand conclusion of the series, and features possibly the best Aquaman story in eons. Volume 2 of Brightest Day picks up with Martian Manhunter learning that he isn't the last green martian after all, and he sets his sights on his blood-thirsty adversary, while in the meantime, Hawkman continues to search for the kidnapped Hawkgirl. Also in this volume, Aquaman faces off with Black Manta, and a new Aqualad is born as well. There's also some very bad things happening to Firestorm, while Deadman continues to find the "chosen one" with Dove at his side, and even has a meeting with the recently resurrected Batman. Of all the storylines here, the Aquaman one is what stands out the most. Geoff Johns appears to be attempting to work the same kind of magic that he did with Hal Jordan, and while it doesn't have that same kind of effect (nor Aquaman the same kind of appeal), he does a great job regardless. Sadly though, the rest of the stories just aren't all that interesting. The Martian Manhunter and Hawkman/Hawkgirl stories are actually kind of boring, while the Firestorm story doesn't come off as interesting as it should. The other post-Blackest Night resurrected characters, namely Hawk, Maxwell Lord, Zoom, and Captain Boomerang, are either barely featured or not featured at all. I know that they have their own stories going on in other titles, but at the very least their lack of being present is really felt here. The artwork varies, ranging from great to meh, but the included covers are spectacular. All in all, the second collected volume of Brightest Day isn't bad, but it doesn't have the same kind of impact as the first volume. Here's hoping that it manages to pick up more steam as it winds down to its conclusion.
