Steve Jobs: The Life, Lessons & Rules for Success
Steve Jobs: The Life, Lessons & Rules for Success
Okay so I think this book is good. It covered a few things I didn't know about Steve Jobs but not many. I liked it as a review in things of facts I already knew. The conclusion I really liked with some of the personal facts.

One note is the same fact is put in twice about LISA as the daughter and computer name. Seems redundant to me. I think you could change that and make it flow a little better by still keeping the facts together.

Totalmente recomendable.

Out of the albums which have the fingerprints from producer Alan Douglas all over the liner notes, this release near the end of his romp through the Jimi Hendrix vault of tapes actually makes sense. With the 1970s bringing a good dose of pop culture nostalgia to the stage, screen and vinyl -- "Grease", "America Graffiti", "Happy Days", "41 Original Hits from the Soundtrack of American Graffiti", "Pin Ups" by David Bowie, "Rock 'n' Roll" by John Lennon, Capitol Records releasing the "Endless Summer" compilation of hits from the Beach Boys, the covers on "15 Big Ones" by the Beach Boys -- it is not beyond the realm of possibility that Hendrix would have recorded an album to salute the legendary blues artists which helped shape his sound.

Compiled by Bruce Gary, drummer for The Knack and ace session musician, the 11 tracks feature six that were previously unreleased and the remainder not as readily available (in 1994) to the general public due to albums bouncing in-and-out-of-print. And even where Douglas does a slice and dice to create "Voodoo Chile Blues", the final product is a cool jam. The instrumental rendition of "Born Under a Bad Sign" is jaw-dropping filthy. The presentation is wrapped around "Hear My Train a Comin'"; an acoustic version to kick things off and an extended live electric jam as the closer.

Instead of trying to convince everyone with ears glued to FM radio that he was a mystical Svengali who could channel the ghost of Hendrix by twisting a nob on the mixing board and erasing musicians on master tapes with Nixonian glee, Douglas allows the music to do the talking.....You Can't Judge a Book by the Cover, indeed.
Recycled Wine Bottle Scented Candle (Pina Colada)
Recycled Wine Bottle Scented Candle (Pina Colada)
It's a lovely candle. The design is stylish and attractive and can blend with any decor. However, much to my chagrin, it didn't smell anything even remotely like a pina, a colada, or a pina colada. I can't even describe the scent it's so far off. I haven't even managed to light it, yet. If I light it and it magically emits a pina colada scent, I will come back and adjust my review. I hurried and grabbed this one because it was the last pina colada in stock. That made it even more disappointing to get it and it not even smell like labeled. Perhaps the company's other scents are true to label, but I won't buy another to find out.

Love that it's made of a recycled wine bottle, which helps reduce waste. I plan to make another candle in it when I burn this one away.

DEWALT DXAEPI140 Power Inverter 140W Car Converter: 12V DC to 120V AC Power Outlet with Dual 3.1A USB Ports
I utilize many Dewalt tools. I wanted the product so that I could plug my DeWalt battery charger into the AC receptacle. It worked great the 2 times that I used it. After 2 uses, the fuse inside the product blew. The fuse inside the product is a 1/4 x 1-1/4 inch 15 A fuse. I could find no loose wires or any problems as to why this would happen. I thought this would be an easy fix just replace the fuse and problem solved. I was disappointed to learn that the fuse was not the problem. The fuse blew again without any items plugged into the product. The blue light never turned on. I tried different outlets as well as multiple 15 amp fuses without success. I usually take the products apart to determine as to why they quit working but instead of wasting my time doing that I figured that I would just take the time to write a review telling others to not by this product. I wish that the product would have worked longer than the 2 times that I used it or that I could have a refund. I am such a big DeWalt fan. It is very disappointing.
Bamboo Charcoal Folding Toothbrush for Travel Camping Holidays 2 Pack
Bamboo Charcoal Folding Toothbrush for Travel Camping Holidays 2 Pack
I bought this two pack and they each broke the first time I used them. The plastic handle isn’t strong enough to hold the brush while brushing. The brush end doesn’t stay very well in the handle either. I have to not only hold the brush in but the handle together. FYI - the bristles are softer than soft.

FELL APART WITHIN 1 WEEK! Didn't even last 7 days outside. Within a few days of being outside the edges started ripping and fraying and within a week it was awful. Don't waste your time or money. I wish i took a photo of the flag before sending it back to amazon, the photo i uploaded is of another crap flag i bought on amazon, don't bother trying that one either, as you can see in my photo it did the same thing, but the Elite Fan Shop one was even worse.
Game of Thrones Season 1
Game of Thrones Season 1

Staffel.
POP Marvel: Deadpool Vinyl Bobble-head Figure
POP Marvel: Deadpool Vinyl Bobble-head Figure
For POP Figures I will be leaving lots of 5 Star reviews that are identical. I have purchased over 30 of these so far and I wanted to wait to get a lot of them to see if there were any defects and/or things I was disappointed with. There isn't a single thing I don't like about them.

This figure came in nice packing and is exactly how it looks in the picture. I personally think they look best left in the box and displayed on a bookshelf, TV stand, mantle, etc... You can buy plastic cases that are well constructed for about $1.50/each if you want to protect them for a long time. The plastic on the box they come in is very thin and a case like this one will help prevent any damage:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZB7O6AW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have tried a few cases and these are my favorite. For the money they are sturdy and the plastic is very clear.

The only problem you will ever encounter with the POP Figures is the seller that is shipping them. Like I said earlier the plastic on the outside of the box they come in is thin. The boxes themselves are also constructed out of thin cardboard.

Take them out of the box and display them, leave them in the box and display them, either way they are cool.

Fantastic Doctor Strange! This collection of Doctor Strange comics is spectacular. The artworks by P. Craig Russell are absolutely gorgeous and the stories are great as well. I have read quite a lot of Doctor Strange and this is one of my favorite collections. I highly recommend it. If you are a Doctor Strange fan and do not have this yet then you must get it now. You will not be disappointed!

Deep in the Jungle of Doom (Give Yourself Goosebumps #11)
Deep in the Jungle of Doom (Give Yourself Goosebumps #11)
Between my school library and the public library, there weren't that many GYG books available to me, but I remember my friend bought about twelve of them and I mooched them off of him every now and then to read (or just look at the pretty covers). Therefore, this book stuck out in my mind as one he definitely had. All that said, it was pretty great. I liked the jungle setting, which reminded me a lot of the island setting from the Tiki Island one. There were a lot of third parties in this book including Amazon Warrior Women, some big-game hunters, a jungle tribe, and a troll. The two storylines involve either turning into a fish-creature or getting lost and encountering all the above parties. A decent, if not terribly awesome, GYG book.
Hot Ice: A Novel
Hot Ice: A Novel
I hate Whitney. I really don't care about Doug. The first sigh of a problem. But the further you go, the wore it gets.
Whitney is an entitled, spoiled and... an idiot. Examples:

When Dough saves their life by a dramatic jump from a speeding train she does not say "thank you". No. She yells at him for the bruises she got from it. She then proceeds to get into a tantrum. One of may, I might add.

Every time he tells her to run and/or hide she responds basically by "you will not tell what to do!" routine.
When he brings her a disguise so she could blend in (and not get spotted and killed) she refuses and again bitches about the ugly clothes and that she will not be wearing them. She basically wants to be fashionably dead.

Also - they are trekking through jungles of Madagascar so of course she chose to wear A SKIRT. And an elegant blouse. Because of reasons.

She does not learn anything, she does not adapt to a situation. Her survival instinct is nonexistent.

Doug is, well just bland. But I have no idea what he sees in Whitney. And he is really well.... let's just say that - it is not enough to write that your character is cunning smart. You have to show it too.

There is also a treasure everyone is after. And Doug does not want to tell Whitney what the treasure is. And because of that, you as a reader do not get to know, too. This is a weird creative choice, to be honest. As readers of the story, we don't know what the stakes are. Alas, I was not invested in the outcome at all.

There is also Dimitri, the bad guy. And his goons. Goons are pathetically bad at "gooning". Dimitri is supposed to be bad because Doug says so. But through 90% of the book, Dimitri does not do any single thing that would prove his "badness".

Honestly, at some point I found myself rooting for Dimitri. If he would catch and killed them, the book would end faster. And be more pleasing actually.

"Romancing the stone" this is not.

The One for the Mojave Kid - Lonigan - War Party (Dramatized)
The One for the Mojave Kid - Lonigan - War Party (Dramatized)
There are three discs. One for each short story. Each disc, short story, takes about an hour to play.

One for the Mojave kid is about a young man arriving in a small town and making the place his home. It's a five star story.

Lonigan is a short story about a silly dimwitted woman. Lonigan shows up in the last five minutes. I didn't like the female character so I give this story one star.

War Party was okay so I give it three stars.

The average for the three stories is three stars, which is what I give this three hour collection of shorts.

COWA!
COWA!
Akira Toriyama is a mangaka well-known for creating best-selling manga series “Dr. Slump” and the “Dragon Ball”/”Dragon Ball Z” series. And also for his artwork on video games such as the “Dragon Quest” and “Tobal” series.

But while his longer series is well-know in the United States, for many people, they are unaware of his shorter manga series.

Having created one-shots and shorter stories since the late ’70s, one of Toriyama’s 1997 short series “Cowa!” will now being released in the U.S. courtesy of Viz Media.

Having suffered from an arm injury in 1997, Toriyama was unsure if he would work on a manga again. Knowing he could not work on a long series, he began working on “Cowa!”, a 14-chapter short series serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump.

“Cowa!” is a series that revolves around young monsters living in Batwing Ridge. While humans and monsters do co-exist, both avoid each other.

The series focuses on a young half-vampire and half-werekoala named Paifu. While a bit mischievous, Paifu has good heart and he often hangs out with his friend Jose Rodriguez (a shapeshifting ghost). Both are night creatures and they attend school during the night.

One day, Paifu wants to see something scary, so he takes Jose to the Redfox Coast to see a human killer. It turns out to be Mr. Maruyama, the former champion sumo wrestler. And while on Maruyama’s raft, when Maruyama tries to make a cross with twigs, he finds out that Paifu will turn to a wild, tall, werekoala and the only way to bring him back is to show him something round.

But Maruyama explains to the children that the death he caused was throwing an opponent out of the ring and the person landed wrong and died. Disgraced from what happened, Maruyama left to Batwing Ridge to get away from everyone.

The following morning, Paifu goes to the homes of his friends, to find out that everyone is suffering from a monster flue and if not treated, the monsters will die in a month.

The only cure is medicine made by the witch of Horned-Owl Mountain in the west, 750 miles away. But with all of the town nearly sick, they need someone strong to take them to the Horned-Owl Mountain, so Paifu asks Maruyama to take them. Maruyama agrees if he is paid $10,000, so he can buy a new boat and Paifu lies and tells him that the town will do it.

So, Paifu, along with Jose and his rival Arpon go along with Maruyama to get medicine for the town.

But are these young monsters ready to venture out into a new world, full of humans, bad people and also bad monsters?

JUDGMENT CALL:

Akira Toriyama may not be known in the U.S. for writing children’s manga, the fact is that “Dr. Slump” and “Dragon Ball” were based on the life or adventure of child characters. Granted, Arale of “Dr. Slump” is a robot and Goku of “Dragon Ball” is often engaged in fights and battles, but “Cowa!” is not more about the fighting (as there is some action featured) but more about teamwork, friendship and these four individuals trying to do what’s necessary to save the people of the village.

The character designs do not resemble other works of Akira Toriyama but the fact that Toriyama managed to create something new and different was quite refreshing.

If anything, the series is upbeat and fun and while about monsters, it’s not scary nor is it too violent. And most importantly, the manga is rated for “All Ages”. But for parents wanting to know if there is violence, there are scenes when bad guys try to take land from a family that Paifu and the others are visiting. And to protect them, Paifu and Maruyama take on the badguys. There is no depiction of people getting smacked around or getting roughed up badly. But there are mild action moments throughout this graphic novel.

The overall manga is a quick read that readers will probably finish with an hour. But the story is quite enjoyable that I would love to see Akira Toriyam revisit “Cowa!” again.

If you are looking for a lighthearted manga that both young and old can enjoy, “Cowa!” by “Dragon Ball” and “Dr. Slump” creator Akira Toriyama is recommended!

Yoto Player – Kids Audio Player & 6 Cards Roald Dahl Splendiferous Collection| Speaker Plays Content Cards with Bestselling Audiobooks & More| Includes Sleep Trainer, Clock, Nightlight All-in-One
As soon as my children received the Yoto player they were into it 100%. They first follow the extremely well-done audio card tutorial and 7 min later they were listening to stories, exploring sounds, ASKING QUESTIONS! as well as listening to Yoto radio (Kids content radio station, one of many they have).

Meanwhile, I was trying to understand EVERYTHING the Yoto world has to offer, it is a lot of kids appropriate content you can access from their app. I love that the app is intended for parents and if my kids love a specific radio or podcast I can "pair it" with a Yoto blank card so they can keep interacting with the Yoto player in a sort of analog way, (phone/tablet free). My main recommendation is to explore the Yoto app and give yourself a bit of time to understand everything you and your kids can do with the Yoto player, it has more things and uses that you might have thought.

The design and quality of this little guy are extremely high and makes it look great in our kid's room as well as in our living room.
I love that there is an always-on display with a clock and a picture of the time of the day (day and night), this is great for sleep training a 3 years toddler.

After a week of use, the kids come back to it on daily basis, that is a huge plus for me since as a parent many of these devices only keep the attention of my kids for 1 or 2 times, not the case with Yoto.
Here how we use it in our daily routine today, I can see this little guy will expand into other daily routines but here what we do with it so far:

- When we are getting ready for school we listen to Yoto Daily, the little ones take turns to pick the right button to play it (Daily 5-7min podcast for kids, educational and fun). After that, we play Yoto radio until we leave for school.

- When the children are back from school they take turns and while one of them is taking a shower the other one listens to a story or two.

- At bedtime we play some soft sleep sounds (they have a bunch to choose from) and use the Yoto player in the night light mode. I love I am able to control the player from my phone app and I don't need to go into the room of the kids to put the volume down.

I will update this review in about 45 days to see where we are at.

The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher (Peter Rabbit)
You simply CANNOT go wrong with the tales of Beatrix Potter!!! Every baby who comes into my life's circle - family, friends, you name it - gets a copy of her complete tales. As I am 67 years young now, there have been quite a few. The only reason I checked "Some violence" is because of the unfortunate incident when Mr. Fisher caught the stickleback fish. I'm quite sure that it would not disturb most children (or other people) in the least. It's a story about nature, as all of Miss Potter's are, and nature does involve many things that some folks would prefer not to deal with.

The content of the book was great. The condition of the book had wavy pages, which looks like it was in a damp environment or had actually gotten wet. The waviness was across the top of the pages. If the book had not been damaged I would have given it 5-stars. It was a gift so I didn't have time to return it.

The Simple Truth
The Simple Truth
I've read every Balldacci novel and short. I have only had iffy feelings over one other.

Every one the I've read took a day and a half. This took three weeks I kept it down and reading something else. The story was so loaded with character I confused two with one another and Dellasandro was not well enough expanded in the beginning to retain who exactly he was.

Secondly I heartilly dilike John Fiske I was actually swimming to believe he's killed his brother.

Then tonight I finally had 183 pages and picked up.

The v ending quarter was beyond much he's writhen the b last couple b of b guests I daughters up until just now to finish it. Too bad the last three pages were added, they weren't needed and I just couldn't buyt the making peace

So in short the b book is v week eyetooth if you Ike many charters I usually don't mind them if the author can keep I then straight. The end is Baldacci at his best.

While he's still one b of my favorite withers and I'm pick up his next. This one is one of two I won't reread.

Sorry, David, if you're reading this, I was disappointed.

Mr. Nonsense (Mr. Men and Little Miss)
I love the Mr and Little Miss Books. Typically I buy the full size versions at my local book store for $4.99.
When I saw them on Amazon for $3.99 I thought it was a great deal! I ordered a bunch of them. When they arrived, I was disappointed to find that they were mini versions! Like the ones I've seen at Walmart for $2.00. Much smaller than I had imagined.
I returned them immediately and purchased the full size versions at the book store instead.
I would have loved to have the size included in the details.
Bummer.

The Harry Smith Project Live
The Harry Smith Project Live
In a recent CD review of "Harry Smith's Anthology Of American Folk Music" I made the following comments that apply to this well-done concert (or rather concerts, done in 1999 and 2001) film documentary based on that anthology, some of Smith's own creative work and some Fugs, an off beat old time folk/rock group, material. I will comment on some individual performances from the concerts below. Here is the CD review:

"It is no secret that the reviewer in this space has been on something of a tear of late in working through a litany of items concerning American roots music, a music that he first `discovered' in his youth with the folk revival of the early 1960s and with variations and additions over time has held in high regard for his whole adult life. Thus a review of musicologist (if that is what he though he was, it is not all that clear from his "career" path that this was so) Harry Smith's seminal "Anthology Of American Folk Music" is something of a no-brainer.

Since we live in a confessional age, however, here is the odd part. As familiar as I am with Harry Smith's name and place in the folk pantheon, his seemingly tireless field work and a great number of the songs in his anthology this is actually the first time that I have heard the whole thing at one sitting and in one place. Oh sure, back in the days of my ill-spent youth listening to an old late Sunday folk show I would perk up every time the name Harry Smith came up as the "discoverer" of some gem of a song from the 1920s or 1930s but to actually listen to, or even attempt to find, the whole compilation then just didn't happen.

In 1997 Smithsonian/Folkway, as least theoretically in my case, remedied that problem with the release of a high quality (given the masters) six CD set of old Harry's 80 plus recordings. Not only that but, as is usual with Smithsonian, a very nicely done booklet with all kinds of good information from the likes of Greil Marcus and the late folklorist Eric Von Schmidt (of songs like "Light Rain" and Joshua's Gone Barbados", among others, fame) accompanies this set. That booklet is worth the price of admission alone on this one. But here is the funny thing after running through the whole collection. I mentioned above that this was the first time that I heard the collection as a whole. Nevertheless, over time I have actually heard (and reviewed in this space), helter-skelter, most of the material in the collection, except a few of the more exotic gospel songs. So I guess that youth was not so ill-spent after all. If the "roots is toots" for you, get this thing.

Note: For a list of the all the tracks in the entire collection just Google "The Harry Smith Collection" and click onto Wikipedia's entry for Harry Smith."

That said, these concert presentation cover about twenty-something of the eighty four items in the Smith anthology. Here is my take. Folk music is meant to be passed on to future generations and those generations will place their own spin on the material. That is the case here. Some have been done successfully like Elvis Costello's cover of "Butcher Boy", Geoff Muldaur's "Poor Boy Blues", Bob Neurwith's (with Eliza Carthy playing a great fiddle) "I Wish I Were A Mole", Kate and Anna McGarrigle's "Sugar Baby", Beth Orton's "Frankie and Albert", Nick Cave's "John The Revelator" (Son House might have rolled over in his grave on that one), Lou Reed on Blind Lemon Jefferson's "See That My Grave Is Kept Clean". The real knock out here is David Johansen performing "James Alley Blues" a song that I went crazy over when I first heard it long ago and that I went crazy over here. Other more jazzy or gospelly renditions did not fare so well. Some of the efforts set my teeth on edge. But here is the real secret of the Smith collection. Not all the material that Harry Smith collected was unalloyed gold. Some of that material also had the same effect on my poor teeth. That collection was a historic archive, good or bad. And this concert DVD will share that same fate. Watch this one more than once.
The New Adventures of Madeline Season 3
The New Adventures of Madeline Season 3
My 2 year old LOVES Madeline (books and the tv show). All episodes are done in the original Bemelmans style, both in terms of illustration and narration. The TV show is really cute--cute stories, nice little girls, catchy music. It is not flashy, like so many of the cartoons on TV today. Love the rhyming narration, as rhyming is so important for literacy.

I bought this more as a ‘memorabilia’ type item since Toys R Us closed. It’s cute in the picture but I don’t plan to open it. It’s one of a few items I’m saving for my sons to have one day.

Just got this ten minutes ago- I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT ALREADY!! Opened, plugged in and got to testing it out,. I CAN'T WAIT IT FRT STARTED ON MY KIDS BIRTHDAY PARTY GARLAND. It will be beautiful AND it'll be a breeze to make it - now that I have this wonderful little pump machine. I just wish u had purchased it years ago. I've been using a hand pump to make my garlands and arched arrangements - what a waste of energy! Also, THE CLIPS!! They are essential in this Garland making process - and they are included with this pump. Live the cord storage and two extra adapter nozzles. This is a great tool for any balloon "set up" job. It's fun to use, small, lightweight, quick, powerful and handy AND CUTE! Let's not ignore how cute it is with its colorful style and little carrying handle. Get one !! You'll love it too, I'm sure.

ASUS ZenBook Duo UX481 Laptop, 14” FHD NanoEdge Bezel Touch, Intel Core i7-10510U, GeForce MX250, 16GB RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD, Innovative ScreenPad Plus, Windows 10 Pro, Celestial Blue, UX481FL-XS74T
A main reason for my purchase was price vs specs. I purchased this for $1150 at another location (not in US). I am an average user so wont speak on technical things. I have the i7-10510U version.

Pros:
- Multi-tasking capability is excellent. Watch videos/movies and still monitor email, Facebook, surf web, etc.
- Build quality feels very solid. No flex or monitor movement.
- Specs are good.
- no issues with heat but I do not game
- Very quiet
- Super fast start-up and shutdown speed
- Screen-pad plus is really cool and touch capabilities work great.
- Mouse pad may be small but I found it to be easy to use once I got use to it. I use a mouse when laptop is on the desk.
- Key strikes feel great
- Battery life is well above average and outstanding if you keep the second screen off or with limited use.
- Main screen is bright and clear.
- speakers/sound level is good.
- great value vs the pro version models

Cons:
- if you are not use to a 14 inch monitor laptop and are downsizing like me, the size of the laptop feels small. Cost was the only thing stopping me from the 15.6 version. This is not really a con to most but I am not use to the screen/laptop size.
- the keyboard is a little cramped but if your are sitting at a desk it really isn't an issue. Resting your wrists on the desk and typing is comfortable. Typing on your lap, not so great and a major con in my opinion.
- While using on your lap (reclining on couch or chair), it is hard to see the second screen due to the limited angle the hinge or additional stand provide. Another major con. On a desk it is no problem. I use the additional stand for a little better lift angle.
- While using on your lap, the laptop is not as comfortable as a flat bottom laptop. this is due to the hinge that lifts the laptop at an angle which puts a little added pressure on your leg. Its not bad but noticeable.
- I wish the second screen was not matte finished. It dulls the image enough to annoy me.

No regrets with my purchase as the value vs specs and additional multi-tasking screen was my reason for purchase but there are a few hurdles to overcome.
Minecraft Sheep Body Pillow
Minecraft Sheep Body Pillow
I bought this plushie because a) I'm touch averse, b) paradoxically touch starved, and c) cuddling real humans is wack.

Sheep arrived in the mail: glorious, majestic, untainted by this cruel, cruel world. Alas, he had a large and unnecessarily obnoxious tag sewn into his behind. I get this may be protocol, but...really? Really!?

Ignorant, I attempted to remove the tag, undoing some of his stitches in the process. Ergo, I panicked. The adrenaline kicked in. In the span of five minutes, I obtained a metaphorical doctorate at the tender age of 16, grabbed my mom's old sewing supplies, and performed impromptu + involuntary surgery on the poor little man. With green thread.

My little boy now has an unfortunate scar on his butt. But, that's okay. I think it gives him character. Also, I named him Gerald. He's snuggly.

VIVO Carrying Bag with Shoulder Strap for Portable 4:3 Projector Screen with Tripod, 72 inch, 84 inch and 100 inch Screen, Bag Only, PS-BAG-100
The bag definitely is long enough for the screen I have but is not wide enough in the center of the bag where the screen's carrying handle is. The material used in the bag's construction is very thin and lightweight, so I don't expect it to stand up to a lot of use. There are no reinforced areas at all. The straps and handles are very thin and low-grade. The zipper is a very poor quality and I expect it to burst at the center where the bag is stretched tight over the screen. I am not impressed with this bag at all and will shop around more next time.

This book is a good starter book on PHP, but wastes a lot of space telling you how to install php, which is already done for you on most shared hosts. It will not help you do every task, but it provides a great starting point.
DeShop 3.5mm Car Universal Audio Cassette Adapter for iPhone/Android/Smartphones with Stereo Plug - White
DeShop 3.5mm Car Universal Audio Cassette Adapter for iPhone/Android/Smartphones with Stereo Plug - White
Fits the space available perfectly, arrived a day earlier than predicted, which was actually more convenient, driver delivered it to the back door for me placing it just inside, which meant I didn't have to try and lug it through the house. It has a good capacity and keeps everything nice and frozen. The only downside I have found is that if the external temperature dips or rises outside of the recommended temperature variation then it switches on for example coldest night of the year outside temperatures dropped to -10C the temperature in my conservatory 0C and it turned on with alarm light showing red. Needless to say I switched it off by turning dial till motor stopped then turned the dial back to original position this doesn't make the freezer motor come back on, unless there is a problem, freezer internal temperature was -20C. I bought a freezer thermometer just to be safe.
Dallas: The Complete Tenth Season
Dallas: The Complete Tenth Season
This season feels like a re-run of Season 9, but the re-runs are quick. SueEllen is getting under J.R.'s skin this year and, in my opinion, SueEllen on skid road and SueEllen this season are the best seasons for Linda Gray.

Donna, still a useless character on the show, is pregnant and working with lobbyists in Washington to get a Tariff to raise the price of oil for the Arabs.

Ray and Donna are not doing well as a couple so Ray, with his new house, has set his sights on Jenna Wade.

Jenna is distant and crazy and pregnant. Charlie is fast and loose and defiant.

Pam and Bobby are back together and Pam is again boring and serves no purpose on the show.

Ms.Ellie and Clayton are a boring couple as usual.

Wes Parmalee claims to be Jock and is the best character on the show. If Parmalee was a little taller and forceful, he would be a believeable Jock.

Cliff is treating Jamie horribly and is impotent.

Mandy Winger is trying to get JR to marry her, but JR can't get rid of SueEllen.

The above synopsis is for the first half of the season.

The last half of the season saw the following changes and/or storylines:

Sexism - Larry Hagman, upset that the women got leading storylines in Season 9, demanded that women never be showcased again. As a result, this season is very belittling and insulting to women. I have said before that I would not watch any more seasons of Dallas. This time, I am going to keep my word. The show jumped the shark years ago. My decision to watch it as an adult was a form of self reflection. Dallas was a good show, but a very flawed show. Anyway, back to the sexism. Cliff made a lot of belitting remarks about women. JR even asked Sueellen "why would I want to watch a bunch of hens talking?" There were several instances where women were referred to as stupid and lacking in intelligence

Diversity - Dormae, the black hostess, said a few more words this season; though the character started dressing much older. The CIA agent was black. The CIA's assistant was black. The CIA agent even told JR, your a**zz is grass and the Justice Department is the lawn mower. In spite of these changes, it still was obvious that the Ewings and Barnes had no contact with black people

Ray and Donna - Donna moves to Washington and basically cuts Ray out of his own child's life. I found this action on the part of the writers to be despicable. Ray never had a real family and now that he has one, the writers take it away from him

Ray/Jenna/and Charlie - Ray needs a family so he and Jenna hook up and are going to end up raising Bobby Ewing's baby with Jenna.

Pam and Bobby - happily married and Pam now can carry a baby to term; Pam, talking on the phone in the car, ends up hitting a tractor trailor and her car blows up

JR and Sue Ellen - they are in love again; SueEllen brings Mandy back to test JR's love for her but JR is too busy being prosecuted by the Justice Department to pay much attention to Mandy

Terrorist activity - JR hires BD Calhoun to blow up some Saudi oil fields; JR gets scared and goes to the CIA; BD finds out and drugs SueEllen and remove her clothes and pose her for photos; BD also kidnaps John Ross; JR and Bobby and Ray end up shooting BD Calhoun; JR is shot in the process

SueEllen is almost raped - BD Calhoun drugs SueEllen and removes her clothes and poses her for pictures. The show assures the audience SueEllen was not raped. It, however, made no sense that SueEllen did not go to a doctor and make sure

Cliff/Jack/Jamie - Jamie dies and Cliff ends up with 10% of Ewing oil; after a hearing April Stevens ends up with 5% of Ewing Oil and Cliff ends up with 5%; Jack leaves town in disgust

Ellie and Clayton - they do puzzles and play Backgammon a lot

In the end, the Ewings lose Ewing Oil and the building; Jeremy Windell ends up with the building and the last scene is JR walking out with the photo of Jock and telling his son: THIS IS EWING OIL.

That last scene should have been the SERIES FINALE of the show; there literally was no where else for the show to go from there. I read the summaries of the last 4 seasons and the show was a shadow of its former self. It is sad, but Season 10 is it from me now and was for me then.

Thank you for this wonderful tea. I get blood clots, and I'm on Coumadin., so I cannot take hormones or synthetic ones too, as they can cause clots. This is the only thing I have found in 20 years that help with hot flashes.
