Smart Investor: Warren Buffett Way: How to know the stock market has bottomed? (Market Crash, Intelligent Investor, Stock Market, Financial Freedom, Stock Valuation, Wealth Creation Book 1)
I find this subject of Stocks and Shares and investing on the Stock Markets a real minefield. I bought this book hoping it would shed a little light on it. It really did. The author writes in a really straiightforward way and makes it easy to understand and to follow. Don't get me wrong you won't know all the ins and outs of Stock Market Trading and how to invest just by reading this book but it will really help you get a basic understanding and give you a good grounding to start investing in the Stock Market.

Bully of Asia: Why China's Dream is the New Threat to World Order
Bully of Asia: Why China's Dream is the New Threat to World Order
The Bully of Asia by China expert Steven W. Mosher serves as a vital overview of China’s intentions towards Asia.

Throughout its history, China has exerted powerful control over its neighbors – to the extent of its capabilities. This control was justified by a culture that viewed other peoples as inferior, and thus, naturally taking on the status of vassals rather than equals.

In the West’s recent memory, however, China was wracked with turmoil and dominated by the main Western powers and Japan – certainly since the Opium Wars of the mid-1800s. As such, China isn’t viewed with the same keen sense of historical alarm as are Germany and Japan.

China’s economy eclipsed Germany’s years ago and then Japan’s and, as measured by purchasing power parity, is now even larger than America’s economy. Inevitably, China’s military power has followed closely behind.

Mosher’s Bully of Asia clearly explains why China’s rise is a threat, not only to the sovereign independence of its neighbors in Asia, but also to America and its democratic allies.

Aretha Now
Aretha Now

So weit, so bekannt.

Marvel Novelty Key Ring, Multi Color
Marvel Novelty Key Ring, Multi Color
My son had some keys for his NERF footlocker as well as his room and some other keys that didn't really go to anything at all. He wanted a key ring like Mommy and Daddy's and he loves the Avengers, so the Infinity Gauntlet was an easy selection. He was thrilled with it when it arrived and being the one who paid for it I was equally happy with the weight and construction. It's a nice looking piece for the price and it's big enough that it will now be much harder for him to lose his keys. The jewels are painted on, which is an issue for some people. I think it looks as good as you could expect a mini replica with painted on jewels to look. I was happy with my purchase and so was my son.
Daiya Deluxe Diary Free Mac & Cheese, Cheddar, 10.6 oz
Daiya Deluxe Diary Free Mac & Cheese, Cheddar, 10.6 oz
TL;DR: If you want good mac and cheese, this ain't it. A certain company with a rabbit in their logo has the best vegan mac and cheese. It's a hard knock life for us vegans, but that brand makes me think the sun will come out tomorrow, and we'll all have wonderful vegan mac and cheese. ;)

When you're vegan--or dairy-free, even--it's hard to find things that fit the craving for cheese. Cheese is wonderful. There's nothing quite like it. Funky, salty, savory--I was a cheese addict. Then my body decided that cheese was a dangerous intruder, and now I have a dairy allergy. This began my quest to become dairy-free. Slowly, this has turned into me eating less and less animal products altogether. I've found great substitutes for meat items. I've found good vegan pasta that are protein rich. I've even found ranch dressing, which, where I live, is mandatorily served with two out of three meals a day. Cheese, though, has been hard to find.

I heard good things about Daiya's cheese, and their mac and cheese. I also heard other says it tasted like feet. Unfortunately, after ordering far too many packages, I have to say I'm firmly in the "this is feet" category. I'm not sure who told them this sauce was cheese-like, but that person is a cruel liar who wants to punish the people eating this. As a sidenote, I tried Daiya's shreds as well. Somehow, this is better than the shreds, but still unbearably awful. The shreds exist in another universe of terrible. The Cheezecake's good, though.
Halloween Night II (Point Horror Series)
Halloween Night II (Point Horror Series)
So kind of a turd sequel to the turd first book, Brenda is losing her mind thinking that her cousin, who’s a pretty crappy person, is out to get her for reasons. I mean I can see it because Halley is stealing every guy that Brenda dates, takes her room, steals her clothes, Brenda’s parents don’t support her at all, and is an all around jerk to her so it’s really no surprise that when Brenda starts getting threatened again she immediately zeros in on Halley. Except she didn’t learn all that much from history. She had a total hard-on for it being Halley last time and it wasn’t. Why would it be the case this time? Who knows.

The plans that these kids cook up in order to frightening each other would only ever work in this Fear Street world that Stine cooks up. We’re all going to dress as skeletons and then go to Angela’s house to scare the jerk boyfriend. I’m not sure where the skeleton costumes come in, maybe I glazed over that part, but they were largely irrelevant. Really, this sequel was mostly a repeat of the last book, including the crazy chick who did it last time.

Apparently she’s okay now and wants to be friends again but gets all butthurt when Brenda’s like YOU STABBED ME GO AWAY as she should rightly do.
I did like the ending of HALLOWEEN NIGHT II, though. I will give it that. It had a creepy, broken edge to it that I didn’t see coming (do I ever? no) that made things just a little uncomfortable, which is good. I shouldn’t be bored or blasé about a horror book. I want to almost say that the ending came out of nowhere but in hindsight there were enough hints dropped throughout the book that pointed to it in some way. Far better than being completely blindsided by the “twist” ending, that’s for sure. This one was actually a twist.

If I’m honest with myself this sequel was better than the first book, if for nothing more than the ending. Aside from Halley and Jake (the boyfriend) you don’t have crappy characters being crappy to each other who are supposed to be friends with each other so that’s nice and refreshing. And the ending wasn’t so outrageous and ridiculously planned that I laughed at it. So yes, an improvement. Still not Stine’s best showing but it’s better than some.

3.5

A Gun for Kilkenny (Dramatized)
A Gun for Kilkenny (Dramatized)
When a stranger rides into town and winds up shooting the local trouble maker, very few in town are upset. But, based on his looks, people soon begin to suspect that he's the famous Marshal Kilkenny. Only the man, John Hardin, knows the truth. But what harm can come from keeping up the pretense for a few days and enjoying the town's gratitude? Soon things begin to turn dangerous for everyone in the town.
I'm not super familiar with the works of Louis L'Amour, but I enjoyed this dramatization. Clocking in at an hour, it kept me interested as I tried to figure out where it was going. I must admit I did roll my eyes a couple of times at the clichés presented, but once the story got going, I was hooked and didn't notice them if they were present.
This is a dramatization, and the actors do a fine job. The sound quality is excellent, making it an easy listen in the car. My only real complaint on the sound end is that the sound effects, especially of people walking on the floor, were a little too present in the story.
Anyone looking for a way to make an hour fly by would do well to get this dramatization.

CUHK Series:Fox Volant of the Snowy Mountain by Jin Yong
CUHK Series:Fox Volant of the Snowy Mountain by Jin Yong
Jin Yong is a magnificent writer, a Tolkien of the East who elevated wuxia from a common pop cultural form of entertainment to a worthy literary genre in its own right, and each of his works is a classic.

Olivia Mok, on the other hand, may be a teacher at CUHK, but the fact that the translation of this book is barely more legible than the subtitles to some 1970s Shaw Brothers kung fu flick indicates she clearly wasted her linguistic education.

Protip: names are names. Tao Baisui should be Tao Baisui, not "Century Tao". Tian Jiwen should be Tian Jiwen, not "Sign Tan". Your stupid direct translations don't even capture the actual meaning; Baisui is "hundred years (*of age*)", you can't just turn that into "Century" just because they're both 100!

Oh, and if you're going to be translating wuxia (and writing published peer-reviewed journal articles about how to do it), then for the love of Bodhidharma, it would behoove you to at least take a few wushu classes.
The Desert Crucible
The Desert Crucible
The Desert Crucible, the sequel to Zane Grey's immortal Riders of the Purple Sage, is absolutely worth reading although it is somewhat quieter and tamer than the preceding work. The slower pace is difficult to adjust to at first, especially if one reads this book immediately after Riders of the Purple Sage.

Not only does Grey use The Desert Crucible to tie up the loose ends of Lassiter, Withersteen, Venters and other characters in Riders..., but he also appears to make attempts to somewhat modify the harsh condemnation of Mormons that one is left with in Riders of the Purple Sage. He doesn't completely absolve this group, but he does leave one with the hope that the new generation of Mormons will not be as dispicable as the murdering, lieing, cheating, polygamists depicted in Riders of the Purple Sage.

The Desert Crucible is the story of man's quest to find himself by following a dream. It also sensitively touches upon the plight of the American Indian. In the process Grey cannot help but denigrate the missionary work that helped destroy these people.

Grey's characters in this book are more prone to introspection than they were in Riders of the Purple Sage. While his main character is running away from disgrace, he also finds strength from his Indian and Mormon friends. Again, Grey is not letting Mormons off in this book, but he does soften the blow.

This book has a nice variety of boats that aren’t pictured in other books ( he has quite the collection)
Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance
Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance
The good, the bad and the ugly,...the curious

The good.
The women that played Diana, Camilla, Kate, and Meghan were flawlessly cast.
Overall fine and sweet mini film. I hope Harry and Meghan have a happy and long marriage.

The bad.
They failed to get the actor that played Will while at St. Andrews for the William and Catherine story. (However, I think this Kate Middleton was much better, casting wise). I don't think I'm alone in wishing they chose a different William. I think the movie would have flowed better if it were two hours.

The Ugly.
They had to cram in months (or perhaps at least a year or two) of courtship into 1.5 hours which lead to cheesy, overly dramatic scenes with artistic license. I also think 20.00 is a bit steep for this movie.

The curious.
Though I think the actress who portrays Kate Middleton looks more like the real Kate, she comes across as cold. The previous Kate seemed more warm and welcoming. (I don't care enough, either way) But one does have to ask...has royal life changed the real Kate? They did add in the facts that Diana wasn't a saint, but a human being like the rest of us with moral flaws and missteps.
And if memory serves me correctly the Royal family did have an adopted African Princess' (she was West-African Royalty taken in by the British Royal Family.

My daughter wears this first out of the laundry. It has been washed several times and still looks nice. She likes the comfort and the style. She often complains about this type of shirt being too restrictive on her upper arms, but this shirt allows full range of motion without squeezing or pulling up into her armpit.
Trilby (Classic Illustrated Edition)
Trilby (Classic Illustrated Edition)
Trilby is a good novel with many flaws. One is that the author, George Du Maurier, the grandfather of the romantic novelist Dame Daphne Du Maurier (1907-1981), placed French sayings, parts of conversations, and even significant sentences and paragraphs in French, several times on every single page of his tale, making it impossible for non-French speakers to get the entire gist of what is happening. Another fault is that the characters in the tale are either entirely good and even noble and extremely likeable, while the villain, Svengali, is very bad, despicably bad, so bad that his name is used today for a monster of a man who tries to dominate and direct women. But the worse flaw in the novel is its anti-Semitic portrayal of the Jew Svengali, who many scholars are convinced inspired Bram Stoker when he wrote his book Dracula. Both Svengali and Dracula are able to control women, force them to do what they want the women to do against their will, and to do so in a manner that enhances their goal while harming the women who do what is demanded in a trance-like fugue. He was also an illustrator for the periodical Punch and other magazines. He added his drawings to his published novel Trilby, and the drawings of Svengali are similar to those used by the Nazis, in their demeaning and dehumanizing of Jews.
Du Maurier (1834-1896) was the author of three books. Trilby was his second and only successful novel. It was published in book form, after being serialized the prior year, in 1895, and a play based on the book was performed the same year, and films were made of the novel in later years. In its day, Trilby was the second best-selling novel, second only to Bram stoker’s Dracula. Trilby is set in the 1850s in France.
The novel has in essence two interlocking plots. The first is the thwarted love between two innocents, pure-minded, trusting youths, Trilby age 17 or 18, a naked model for painters and sculptors, and Little Billie, a painter, about the same age. The two love each other but Trilby and Little Billie’s mother, but not Little Billie himself, feel she is unfit for Little Billie because she is from a lower class of society. Trilby loved to sing the one song she knew, but she was a terrible singer.
The second plot focuses on Svengali. He is a master musician and hypnotist. He gains control over the life and thoughts of Trilby through hypnotism and transforms her into the greatest diva of her time. She sang gloriously in hypnosis, but only while she was in a trance. Whenever Du Maurier mentions Svengali he disparages him, and usually reminds readers that he is a Jew. Svengali is between age 30 and 40. He is sinister looking, shabby, unbathed, dirty, with lusterless hair, yellow teeth, insolent black eyes, a beard that grew from under his eyelids, has a mean and harsh voice and his words sounded ghastly. When he has Trilby under his control and has enslaved her, he tells everyone that she is his wife and calls her La Svengali, but tells Trilby that he is married and has children, and cannot marry her; both statements are lies; he is not married. (Du Maurier does not explain why this information about his lie to Trilby is placed in the book. It is likely that it is hinting that he has had sex with her.)

Lambs & Ivy Little Woodland Forest Animals Musical Mobile, Pink/White
Lambs & Ivy Little Woodland Forest Animals Musical Mobile, Pink/White
Pros: This is an adorable mobile and the music is nice. My baby loves to watch it and fell asleep on her own for the first time tonight while it was going.
I like that it turns off after about 20 minutes. When my baby starts looking sleepy, I turn on the white noise as well an then I dont have to wait around for her to fall asleep to turn this off.

Cons: we’ve only used it (turned on and off) a handful of times and the stop button got stuck so it wouldn’t turn on. I didn’t have a thin screw driver to undo the unit. I had to mess around with the button until finally it released a little bit and the start button could work.
DJI Osmo Mobile 3 Combo
DJI Osmo Mobile 3 Combo
Nice gimbal for the non-professional videographer that wants to take better videos and have amazing panoramic photo options that give nearly professional results. The DJI Osmo Mobile3 is compact, lightweight and sturdy. Connecting your phone and pairing with the OM3 is incredibly easy thanks to DJI’s app and well thought out quick start instructions. I am currently using an iPhone8 with the OM3, and have no problem running the app even with my older device. My only issue with the Osmo Mobile3 is that you must remove the case from your phone in order for it to fit the mount on the OM3. I contacted DJI about this and was told that there was no current option or plan to offer a case. I was pretty dissatisfied with the support on this issue as in my research I found several instances of users damaging their devices when they were transitioning it from the mount. Accidents happen, and it is unfortunate that DJI does not build their product to accommodate any cases that would offer any level of protection against accidental damage. I was able to find a case that fits my iPhone8 (also fits the iphone7 and the 2020 iPhoneSE). The Spigen Ultra Hybrid 2 case will fit your iPhone while in the cradle mount for the Osmo Mobile3.

Summary: Love the gimbal, app is decent, the cradle mount is less than acceptable in that the only way to use it properly is to remove your phone’s case (resulting in a 3 star rating).
Her Last Run: Escape From Rockwall: (A Science Consortium Novel)
Her Last Run: Escape From Rockwall: (A Science Consortium Novel)
If you've read Michael's Sigma books already, this book will start to fill in background that is missing. And in doing so, it gives you not only a good story line but a character that stands out with both attitude and style. In a universe where technology can make you stand out, Isabel is distinctive in her shades and leather coat. Though this is also part of her flaws, as going in disguise she still has a presence that stands out. Her motivations are also complex and just saying "gunrunner with a heart of gold" is too simple a description. She's very opportunistic and at the same time can't stand to see innocents harmed. Which kind of puts a kink in her attempt to appear cold and calculating. The book also fills in a lot of background on two characters you meet in Sigma so it gave a number of chuckles as you find out where they came from.

If you like twists with agents, double agents, triple agents? then you'll like this story line, too.

The technology in the book gave me a little feeling of Gibson's Neuromancer but Michael balances it so it doesn't take over the story but is used by the characters who are the story. I like that about Sci Fi books that manage to avoid the problem of the tech being too over the top that everything is solved by it. In the end, humans and their flaws and strengths make the story.

The book doesn't end on a "cliff hanger" so much as a natural transition point which I appreciate. Some authors leave you hanging, this one wraps up enough of the action to feel like a good story. It is the first half of a story line so you'll want the next one as well to finish it. I will be getting the next book as soon as it's available.

OIVO PS4 /PS4 Slim/PS4 Pro Vertical Cooling Stand with Controller Charging Dock and 12 Game Slots …
This unit is average. It has a fan which can be a tad noisy but works well. The storage of the game boxes is definitely nice to have. This brings me to final part which affected my rating. The charging ports for the joysticks are not well thought out. For whatever reason, the controller handles face inward towards the PS4 unit. This makes it a pain to line up the charger, which in itself is a bad design. Unless you take your time and really watch where you're placing the joystick on the bay, you won't line them up if you just casually try to place the controller on it.

I have the stand next to my sofa on the ground so I have to pay extra close attention in order to get the controllers on there just right in order to charge. I can't just turn and reach my hand down to put the controller on the charge port. Stick with the ones that charge upside down using the magnet method. It's WAY better and convenient.

Perhaps it's just me but that's my experience with this. I say this is very average and not worth the cost.

It's very dull. Everything is extremely monotonous. We can't figure out why the tow truck keeps growing every time it picks up a letter and then shrinks when it starts driving off. It seems like a quality control issue. They could have put more effort into this video.

1. The quality of the packaging is great
2. The quality of the cards is much much better than earlier. They’re much more glossier and slippery :)
3. The content... as of now, a quick look through the cards, and they do look much better than the original Social Humour, since that contained a lot of cards that were blatantly ripped off from the original CAH.

I really wish Social Humor 2.0 drops soon with purely non repetitive cards... none repeated from CAH and none from this expansion pack. I would definitely buy SH 2.0.

This looks like a true expansion. Hope to see more vulgar cards involving politics in the future expansion packs. Good luck guys!
