Read this book. Then go back and start applying the insights that resonate to your own life and projects. Many of these fly in the face of " common knowledge" - so much so that a few of them took my breath away and opened doors of understanding that transformed my approach to innovation, creativity and business. Think With Full Brain: Strengthen Logical Analysis, Invite Breakthrough Ideas, Level-up Interpersonal Intelligence, and Unleash Your Brain’s Full Potential (Power-Up Your Brain Series Book 5)
Som Botha has written another solid book on how to think with your brain, and if you haven't read the previous series, I would certainly recommend it. These books are well-researched and the author takes time to explain strategies in sound advice and clear examples.

THINK WITH FULL BRAIN is all about how to harness the full potential of your brain by developing multiple thinking approaches. The book offers a holistic approach to empower you to unleash your left brain’s logical, organized thinking and your right brain’s emotional, and creative thinking preference. This is your guide to avoid thinking in silos and develop a full brain thinking approach to take your decision making and problem-solving skills to the next level.

In think with full brain, you will learn:
+ Practical and effective tips to develop active listening and develop your interpersonal thinking skills.
+ how reading literary non-fiction is the quickest way to become more empathic with others.
+ How the “Revolving Door Test” can give you an entirely different perspective and offer better solutions.
+ Why you miss out logic under the influence of authority and reasonableness.
+ How specific brain exercises can improve your logical thinking.
+ How to ‘chunk down’ big projects to boost your sequential thinking.
+ How Switching from judgment to curiosity broadens your horizon and help you understand people's perspective

A definite good read and gets you thinking out of the box!

Trump: The Biography: From Businessman to 45th President of the United States: Insight and Analysis into the Life of Donald J. Trump
I thought I’d read up on the person that has 45,000 deaths in his tiny, baby hands (as of this writing 4/21/20) and is running our country into the ground. Well, I haven’t learned anything new but I can confirm that he does have family so there’s no reason for him to act like a wild animal. trump has made his money by ripping people off for his entire career. trump is not good at businesses but he is great at dividing a country, racism, passing, the buck, scapegoating, bigotry, collusion, predatory behavior, and lying. You’ll find none of the class and presidential qualities from our past president, in this book about our current orange imposter. Save your money it’s not worth it. I’m sorry we can’t get back the last four years, don’t blame me though. I voted for HRC. But hey, this is all a democratic hoax, right? Right!?!?

Lucifer: The Influence Of Evil In The Horsoscope
Lucifer: The Influence Of Evil In The Horsoscope
If you want to jump on the bandwagon of thinking eternal damnation is real then go ahead and waste 26 bucks on this book. I certainly wish I had my money back because this is nothing but garbage. There are many more ways to explore evil and the way it works, but to profess that if you had made a deal with the devil as in some type of social contract means you cannot ever break the contract, is just wrong. Christ incarnated and successfully opened the gates of free will, so we can ALWAYS find our way back. There’s no such thing as eternal damnation and this author is off his rocker. Too many peyote trips I imagine.
Gospel Fluency Handbook: A practical guide to speaking the truths of Jesus into the everyday stuff of life
Gospel Fluency Handbook: A practical guide to speaking the truths of Jesus into the everyday stuff of life
In the past, handbooks or workbooks that came out based on previously published books have largely been a let down to me. They often do little more than point to sections of the original book to read, quote some related Scripture, and walk the reader through some application questions. This isn't bad, but most good Bible study or small group leaders can figure that out on their own.

The Gospel Fluency Handbook is the opposite of such books. While it is based on Jeff Vanderstelt's previous book, Gospel Fluency, it doesn't require you to read it. In fact, that book is summarized for you in the Handbook. Moreover, rather than simply walk through some basic application questions, this book is designed to create an experience all its own.

But what is the book actually about? The Gospel Fluency Handbook is said to be a "practical guide for speaking the truths of Jesus into the everyday stuff of life." Our greatest problem before and after our conversion is unbelief. This handbook is designed to take the reader into the depths of the gospel in order to build faith. Faith is not just for initial salvation, but living as Christ's disciples in all parts of life. Throughout the book, the authors give very specific examples of sin and show how faith in Christ can be applied as the remedy. As a bonus, the handbook provides access to videos online which will enhance the learning experience.

In terms of the design, the book is laid out to give three sections to be read each week. This is followed by space for reflection and preparation for discussion with a group. Moreover, the actual look of the handbook is pleasing to the eye. The publisher laid out the handbook with differing colors, engaging graphics and charts, and a good use of fonts. The physical book is also spiral-bound, making it easier to record thoughts and interact with the material.

The Gospel Fluency Handbook is the type of resource churches need today. It can help clarify and reinforce the truths of Christ's saving work for personal sanctification. More than that, it will create a gospel-rich culture which will make speaking about Christ to outsiders much easier and more fruitful. I highly recommend this handbook.

*Disclosure: I received this book free from the publishers in exchange for a fair and honest review.
GUND Snuffles Teddy Bear Stuffed Plush Animal, Taupe, 10"
GUND Snuffles Teddy Bear Stuffed Plush Animal, Taupe, 10"
I have loved Gund Snuffles since 1981 when I first saw him in an ad in the pages of "Seventeen" magazine. In that ad, Brown & White Snuffles was holding a daisy and smiling his sweet smile. I was smitten! I have owned and loved Snuffles Bears from every decade, regular and anniversary editions, in many colors, and various sizes. This most recent version of Snuffles is by far the softest, most velvety, marshmallowy soft Snuffles ever! Much, much better quality and ever so much more snuggly than the Snuffles from the last twenty-five years! (This new Snuffles is far and away SO much softer than even my Vermont Teddy Bear "World's Softest Bear"!!)
The Snuffles from the 1980's had, I believe, a tad more heft to it, but I don't think even original Snuffles was as soft as this new version.
This most recent version of Snuffles is absolutely perfect! I have both the pink (a beautiful dusty rose shade of pink) and the taupe Snuffles from this edition, and I'm back to order another color. I will definitely be purchasing them all for my teddy bear den. =)
I'm really so happy to see Gund producing Snuffles in a new "luxe" version. Snuffles is finally getting the respect and star-treatment he deserves! Snuffles is the flagship bear that made Gund a household name. The sweet little crescent bear that smiles up at you when you give him a hug. =) He is still as precious and lovable as ever, but even softer for squeezier, sweeter hugs! ♥ This is THE bear if you are looking for a cuddly, snuggly, sweet, lovable teddy!! Five stars for Gund Snuffles!! ฅʕ•̫͡•ʔฅ
Embers of the Sky
Embers of the Sky
It's actually 3 short stories here. No real special effects, these were more mental / get inside your brain psychological stuff. I found them to be very slow, and a bit hard to follow. If you were reading these stories in a book, then they would probably come across better. But as film, you really have to stick with it to watch them all the way through.

The first story is about a woman (from another planet it seems) who was supposed to die on schedule on her world, but fled to earth to continue to live another life as a second chance.

The second is about a future time when a form of magic is discovered, that allows you to work while you are sleeping (dreaming?), allowing you much more free time to do what you want when you are awake.

The third: A city on a world (which of course, looks exactly like earth) has troubles with a plague wiping them out. A lone woman is sent to "liberate" it, or stop the plague, or something... I am not really clear on what she was supposed to do.

All three leads in these movies are by woman, so maybe these are from a female scifi view of things. ( ? ).
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
The CG is hilariously outdated: Wolverine's claws look like the designers used a "GET WOLVERINE CLAWS!" app. Of course "Deadpool's" katana arms look just as bad. Emma Frost looks like she's been bedazzled. Naturally, even though there's an immense amount of physical violence (shredding, slicing, decapitating, stabbing, etc...), there's no blood. I can see comically cartoonish brain matter through Logan's skull hole, but don't let us see any blood in this PG-13 POS.

The action is questionable: A helicopter crashes and explodes then, somehow, explodes again! There are so many smash cuts in the fighting sequences it's obvious the choreographer phoned it in. Also, the majority of the "fight" sequences consist of beefy dudes standing around posing in their best can't-fit-through-a-door look.

Some of the casting is bizarre: Why not cast the guy who looks exactly like Hugh Jackman as James/Logan/Wolverine's actual father instead of the cuckolded husband? For Gambit, at least try to cast someone who can attempt to do a Creole accent. And good job making one of the coolest X-Men look like an absolute douche by giving him a wizard staff.

Deadpool... where do we start? Do we need to start since this has been so widely covered? No. At least Ryan Reynolds has atoned for this nonsense.

And, finally, the story: Gee. Spoilers ahead I guess. After joining up with Stryker and a squad of mutants who murder an entire village for some adamantium, Logan figures out he's not cool with Stryker's particular brand of murder and decides to ditch the murdering mutant squad. Years later, Logan very smartly trusts Stryker to experiment on him just so Logan can get "the tools" needed to kill his brother (who totally by necessity killed Logan's girlfriend instead of just going after Logan - that wasn't suspicious or strange at all)! And surprise! Stryker has nefarious plans for Logan and SAYS THEM OUT LOUD so Logan hears. Somehow, later, Logan is still shocked to find out that he's been further manipulated because his brother and Stryker are working together *clutches pearls*! If you can make it this far in the film and still be surprised by anything that happens then your brain has checked out completely.

Some of these issues alone don't make a film unwatchable. But paired and stacked and mashed together in one film it becomes intolerable. Skip this... watch Logan (2017). It's a far superior film.

Altamont Now
Altamont Now
4 Stars from Pulp Movies
Pulp Movies is an excellent website run by Paul P. out of Belgium- a nice compendium of all the genre filmmaking going on worldwide. Which makes it all the more exciting that Pulp Movies gave ALTAMONT NOW 4-stars! A little taste here...

Such an approach is not without its risks but writer/director Joshua Brown has managed to pull together a cast that is strong enough to make this work. All of the actors put in very solid performances and, although they are all stereotypes expressing clichés, you get a very strong sense that these are fully rounded stereotypes who really do believe in their clichés.
Special mention, though, has to go to Daniel Louis Rivas' utterly charismatic performance that manages to walk the very fine line between parody and slapstick. It is a great testament to Rivas' portrayal that, while I really did not like Richard Havoc at all, I was also very keen to know what was going to happen to him.
Also deserving of a mention is the soundtrack with which a variety of underground bands manage to generate a truly anarchic atmosphere and give the film a feel that sits somewhere between being a music documentary and an exploitation film.
Altamont Now is a very effective satire of the self-indulgent posturing and angsty whining of a bunch of wannabe rebels who are at a complete loss for anything to rebel against. This is an all-too familiar target and one that Brown gleefully and brilliantly skewers.

KAIYEE Nonstick Carbon Steel Pizza Tray Pizza Pan with Holes, 13 Inch
I can’t say how it heats since I bought it for a different purpose. It doesn't deserve a bad rating so I gave it all the stars. I purchased it for fine motor skills in our early learning program. It works perfectly for our marbles & translucent disc counters on the light table, under the black light, and manipulative table. I can say it is used a lot and is durable, the non-stick coating has held up through our use, pan is sturdy. Great pan!

The Man from the Broken Hills (The Talon and Chantry series Book 4)
The Man from the Broken Hills (The Talon and Chantry series Book 4)
Milo is all over the place - he asks questions but doesn't go looking for the answers, he waits for the answers to come to him. Then, when one answer does arrive, he asks all the old questions again and we start the process over. This means that the clues arrive in a rather haphazard fashion. Add to that, L'Amour uses sleight of hand to make sure the readers never know everything they need to know about the area Milo is working (known as The Basin), which makes it difficult to figure out who and where the criminals are. And, unlike other books in this series, I have no memories of my grandfather reading this book to me when I was little so I didn't figure out who the killer was until L'Amour decided to tell me - that's a good thing, the book kept me guessing, but I wish Milo was a little more organized in his pursuit.

The Scorpio Illusion
This is one of those can't put it down books. From the very first page the reader is taken on a journey from the Middle Eastern war through the Carribean and the USA.
Robert Ludlum keeps a fever pitched pace as Bajarat weaves her magic dealing out love and death with a cold, calculating terrorist mind, all the while staying just out of reach of commander Hawthorn.
If you like action, romance, intrigue and a little blood doesn't put you off then I recommend this book as it has a double dose of all the above.
Dragon Ball Z, Volume 1
Dragon Ball Z, Volume 1
When I read through the reviews I noticed that one of them said to avoid the book because it was backwards. I own manga comic books published by Viz and it states right in the front cover (U.S front that is) that the comic is published with the Japanese format and it even has instructions on how to read the comic. It also states that most Japanese manga comics are flipped for easier reading BUT it involves reversing all of the pages. Many manga artists agree that the reversing process can distort pictures. You have to remember that the artist has probably put a little of their heart and soul into their work and to see it distorted can be painful. If you have trouble reading this type of book but still enjoy such art and stories, simply review the instructions on how to read it, take a pencil and lightly number the pictures before you settle down with your book. Please do not avoid books that use this format, you are missing out on some great artwork. As for this paticular manga, I have been a DBZ fan since I was fourteen years old and I still love the show and the manga. Mr. Toriyama has done a fantasic job of depicting the story of Goku and his many adventures. Don't miss out on this great story!
Personal note: You are never too old for cartoons. This is not really suited for young children either.
The Thomas Berryman Number
The Thomas Berryman Number
I read this book years ago but I recently started down-sizing my library and life in general. I had given approximately 900 hard copies of books to a nearby nursing home along with bookcases. One of the patients there had been looking for something to read when we took all the bookcases and boxes of books inside. She immediately noticed this book and said what I have been saying for years: "I love James Patterson's early books! This is one I have read at least five times!" I responded that all of his books were in the many boxes and she now had the chance to read all of them again. She started crying because she couldn't believe that anyone would give away a library of that many books rather than sell them! We talked about Mr. Patterson's many books and how the earliest were his best. The Thomas Berryman Number is one that I have read approximately a dozen times, so I just downloaded it to my Kindle! Now I can read his best ones again and again. THIS is one of those books that you will read over and over. Like the classics, Mr. Patterson can produce excellent writings and this is one of his best. Enjoy!

I've never read 950 paperback pages so quickly!

Irving Wallace takes us on a journey to exotic places through his interesting characters. And he keeps us nibbling on this book to find out what happens next. One of Wallace's best works.

How he manages to create such complex characters along a myriad of life journeys, I can't fathom. But he is a joy to read!
Readings for Meditation and Reflection
Readings for Meditation and Reflection
C. S. Lewis authored a number of thought provoking books about Christianity. This book is a gem in that it highlights some of the best, arguably, parts of a number of his best selling books, woven together to give the reader an insightful view of Christianity. Lewis' unique perspective and reasoning skill gives doubters and non-believers substance and a good beginning point for further exploration of Christianity. This book is a permanent part of my collection and I often share it with others who don't share my strong faith. The layout of the book lends itself well for daily meditation; it seems best to read one or two passages at a time and give yourself time for reflection.
Becoming C. S. Lewis (1898–1918), Volume 1: A Biography of Young Jack Lewis
Becoming C. S. Lewis (1898–1918), Volume 1: A Biography of Young Jack Lewis
C.S. Lewis is a champion of the faith whose life story is familiar and oft-retold. Having read a couple biographies of Lewis, I was a bit skeptical of yet another biography of the man coming out–and a multi-volume one at that! What could be added? But then I saw that Harry Lee Poe wrote it, and having enjoyed some works from him in the past, I decided to give Becoming C.S. Lewis: A Biography of Young Jack Lewis (1898-1918) a try.

One thing that immediately sets the biography apart is that it is a look specifically at C.S. Lewis’s younger years. Harry Lee Poe argues persuasively that these early years of Lewis’s life were both incredibly formative and essential to understanding the man he would become. one major aspect of this book is showing Lewis’s own path of faith. The notion of Lewis going from an atheist to a Christian is well-known, but his move from being a Christian to an atheist is less commonly discussed. It’s clear from Poe’s work that Lewis essentially experienced a kind of milquetoast faith that did not appeal to him whatsoever, while eagerly pursuing certain vices as well. Some sordid details of his predilections are touched upon in this regard, and this helps readers understand Lewis more fully as well.

Another aspect of Lewis’s early life that Poe documents as being extremely important to the later man is his burgeoning interest in classics and myth. Whether it was in translating for himself some classic works or his own intense reading through various myths about King Arthur, Lewis’s interest in myth was found and nourished from an early age. There is little question that it stuck with him for the rest of his life and became essential to understanding the man he became. Lewis’s complex familial relations are also touched upon throughout this biography, as the influence of his brother and family on his life is drawn out by Poe in some detail.

Poe writes this biography in a voice that immediately grabs the reader. He is both sympathetic to the subject while also not excusing character flaws. His writing is well-suited to biography and as one reads Becoming C.S. Lewis, one feels as though one is engaged in a conversation with the author about the fascinating subject.

Becoming C.S. Lewis is a fascinating, detailed look at the earliest parts of C.S. Lewis’s life. Poe is a skilled author with a deep knowledge of the subject, and that makes this biography a must-read for those even remotely interested in the life, theology, or fiction of C.S. Lewis. Highly recommended.

Disclaimer: I was provided with a copy of the book for review by the publisher. I was not required to give any specific kind of feedback whatsoever.

Abby answered i'll tell you at the BSC(baby sitters club) meeting:)

I grew up in the 70's with this box set and I loved them. When I was little I looked at the pictures, when I got older I read them, when I was 8 to 18 I learned to draw the pictures. I remember when I was in High School I was taking an advanced art class and we were learning the Art of Cartooning, the teacher had everyone bring in their favorite cartoons. So I brought these in and everyone including the teacher loved them, most had been exposed to Richard Scarry's work but had forgotten all about them, When they saw the variety of subject matter and how beautifully done they were they forgot all about the comic's they had brought and everyone wanted to practice drawing in the style of these books. Unfortunately my older Sister had children before I did and she ended up taking them home (and they were lost forever as she has no respect for books). I am now going to buy a set just for myself and share them with children who visit (but I will not lend them out). I can't believe these are out of print since the box set is the perfect gift for a child, I hate giving toys since I don't know what's quality and what's junk, most toys today are junk. I usually give books or if I know them well I give weird toys like a Pea Shooter and five pounds of Peas or a piece of Cord Wood, a Hammer, and five pounds of Nails (it's funny to watch a 7-10 year old ignore hundreds of dollars in new toys while he intently hammers nails into a stump).
RICHARD SCARRY - TUTTI IN BICI
RICHARD SCARRY - TUTTI IN BICI

What can you say: this is Catherine Cookson. What would not be intriguing about the book? Even if you don't like the story, particularly, you want to know what happens. There are no storybook endings with Ms. Cookson. She just tells it like is/was. Great writing, as always. Great editing, no awkward grammar or weird spelling. I can easily sit down with one of her books until I finish it. But duty always calls and I have to stretch out (darn it!) my anticipation. Completely gratifying, easy to recommend.

A helpful aid on what's next to order if you like this author and enjoy a series. Would be more helpful just giving a précis of the plot to avoid ordering a replay in fact or in substance. Too many series are same old same old, and readers may like that but they need to know what is what. Amazon synopsis and reviews help, but ther is a risk of forgetting when a quick decision needs to be made for a Kindle.

Personally I think the typeface, like the illustrations add ambiance to the book.
A paragraph from the back cover:
The Translation of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland has always presented a special problem. The humor, popular children's verses, songs and especially the puns were thought at first to make it untranslatable. The problem was solved by Antonie Zimmermann with the-hearty approval of Carroll-by substituting popular German children's verses and puns for the English originals. "How Doth the Little Crocodile?" for instance, is turned into a parody of a German Romantic ballad. All in all, this is still the best of the 15 or more German Translations.
The Dover edition has held up well. Mine was printed in 1974 and has not started to yellow.
This book is not a duel language; translated by Antonie Zimmermann.
James Bond: Casino Royale
James Bond: Casino Royale
This delightful volume was released fifth by Titan Books in their James Bond series.
I mention this because after the Roger Moore introduction there is a non fiction section called "Bond In Books" and it is part 5.
So those intent on collecting the series may wish to start with "The Man With The Golden Gun" volume which was the first released by Titan.
This volume collects the newspaper strips of "Casino Royale", "Live And Let Die" and "Moonraker".
Whilst they are condensed versions of the original books (condensed to remove any graphic detail that could have been read by children) there are good representations of the books.
The artwork is pretty good not forgetting that the strips were originally published in the late 1950's.
You can buy omnibuses of the collection from Titan would collect together 3 of the volumes but they are printed on smaller paper and some of the precise ink work on the strips is lost.

While I would have preferred to have all the extra content of the hogwarts collection in the 4kUHD set, I can say that the 4k edition of the movies look absolutely phenominal on a 4k HDR television! I would have preferred some more details in the description of what you get in each package, and I hope that amazon does a better job seperating reviews from product to product as some of the reviews DO NOT apply to the 4kUHD set.
Spring Breakers
Spring Breakers
Harmony Korine's film SPRING BREAKERS (2012) is wayyy underrated. Has anyone even seen it? I saw it in theater with my dad four years ago when it came out. Only on second viewing does its significance resonate.

This is serious 1990s-2000s zeitgeist material. Read that sentence twice.

Funny, disturbing. Sexy, horrifying. Fiction-flashy, hyper-real.

Glib MTV product one minute, deep critique of same the next.

What's so amazing about many scenes is you can take what's being said literally and feel it and believe it from a teenager/early 20s in 90s point of view, and at same time see it ironically and as absurd from an adult perspective (eg when Faith is reflecting about how spring break epitomizes the beauty and ultimate meaning of life and spirituality -- it's done as satire, but I remember feeling exactly like that in perfect moments on hedonistic vacations with my friends in teens and 20s).

Ambiguous and complicated depiction of 90s/2000s hip hop culture and psyche. "Pretend it's a videogame. Imagine you're in a movie or something." And yet entertaining throughout, never seeming pretentious or "arty". It's an action comedy after all, just so dark and satirical and ... something ... that it is so much more.

Albert Camus would love this movie. And be horrified by it. 1950s post-war nihilism ain't got nothing on contemporary consumer culture and celebrity worship.

"Why did this happen? We were just having fun. We didn't do anything wrong. This was supposed to be forever. This can't be the end of the dream."

The overvoice narration punctuates themes in a natural, unobtrusive way.

The character "Alien" is James Franco's most ambitious role by far. Brave acting. What actor in their right mind would take this role? Should have gotten an Oscar.

Great writing. Beautiful cinematography.

Franco's exhortations about "All my sh*t! Look at all my sh*t!" -- ie clothes, shoes, colognes, guns, high tech apartment accoutrements -- is pop culture gold.

Universities should be holding conferences on this movie.

See it.

Or see it again.

This is art.

5 Stars.

Annie 10'' Long Flexible Twist-flex Hair Roller Rods, 11/16" Gray
These work perfectly to create nice medium sized curls. I'm African-American and I have relaxed, above the shoulder length hair.

I cut my rods in half since my hair is short. That way I have 12 small rods instead of six. They still work the same. They're good quality and last a long time. Haven't had any trouble with the cracking or not working right. I would definitely order more if needed.

INTIMO Big Boys Harry Potter Hogwarts School Crest Raglan Pajama Set
the pants legs are too long. while attempting to hem them, I placed an iron on them to make a crease AND the material adhered to the iron melting the fabric to my iron. MY point, if near flame/fire this material will adhere to your child'd skin causing severe burns! be careful with them. However, they are very cute just need to made from different material..Don't know if their flame retardant??
Harry Potter Girls Gryffindor Racerback Pajama Short Set
Harry Potter Girls Gryffindor Racerback Pajama Short Set
When I pulled these out of the packaging, I literally thought I had been scammed. The shorts were so small, they're closer to a 3 or 4. They're also made of a super thick fleece material, which makes no sense given they are SHORTS, and not meant to be warm pajamas. The shirt is made of super thin, crappy polyester and makes no sense to go with the fleecy shorts. Returning ASAP.

Save your money and time, and just move on.

So cute. Lots of compliments on our little Hedwig. And it was nice to be able to layer under it as this Halloween ended up being pretty chilly. Some people had issues with the hood fitting. It was definitely big, but we put a white hoodie on (hood up) underneath and then it fit perfectly. 17 month old actually kept it on all night!
A Curious Woman
A Curious Woman
Set in the quiet coastal location of Port Bannir, ‘A Curious Woman’ is a very engaging cosy mystery - 5 Stars

The main characters are very different personalities, and this is reflected in the competing businesses they run. Bess Campbell takes care of the day-to-day running of the ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’, a gallery packed with an eclectic range of exhibits that draw in the crowds, while Margaret Gale rules supreme at the staid maritime museum. Bess exudes energy, positivity, and quite probably owns a well-thumbed copy of ‘Zen and the Art of Chicken Maintenance’. Margaret, on the other hand, comes across as secretive and about as approachable as sleeping tiger. But, when both women find themselves implicated in murder, they learn to work together to solve the mystery.

This was a thoroughly entertaining read, and one that worked on many levels. The mystery element had a pleasing number of twists and turns, and there was a delightful cast of supporting characters. As Bess became more determined to unveil the murderer, she also managed to thaw frosty Margaret. The developing relationship between the two women added another level of interest, and it certainly revealed an unexpectedly passionate side to Margaret’s character.

Overall, this was a light but very entertaining read, and one that would certainly tempt me to read more from this author.

Hanes Midrise - Pantalón de forro polar para mujer, altura media
Hanes Midrise - Pantalón de forro polar para mujer, altura media
Runs ridiculously large. The Hanes size chart says XL fits a 32-34" waist, yet when I measured, the waistband is actually 42" wide, and would fit a 42-44" waist. There is no drawstring, just a 2 inch wide elastic band. The hip measures 52", inseam is 30", outseam is 40". The ankle is loosely cinched with elastic, leaving a 13" opening. The Navy Heather color is pretty, like that of faded denim. The fabric is between thin and medium weight. I'd call these 'just okay' for $6-8 sweatpants, but because the sizing deviates so far from the chart, I can only give 2 stars. I bought these expecting a generally comfortable fit, only to find the waist 10 inches too wide... so big they wouldn't even stay up on my hips.

*** Update *** I ordered the medium and they measure (before laundering) 35" in waist and 45" in hip.. a FAR CRY from what the size chart says, and exactly what I needed in a pair of 'fat-day' sweatpants. Interesting to note, reviewers at W-Mart reported the same problem with size difference, so it's not an isolated issue of shipments to Amazon. I expect there will be a little shrinkage after laundering and will update later if it's worth mentioning. Advice: If ordering, order DOWN at least 1 size.

*Update on my update, the mediums had barely noticeable shrinkage. After wearing them for a few months I've noticed that they're holding up pretty well with use and laundering. They do have a little bit of "pilling" but it's not too bad. I upgraded to 3 stars for comfort, price, and durability. They are "okay" for sweatpants. Note, I never wear them out of the house.
Botas altas a la pantorrilla, de moda para mujer de Koolaburra by UGG
Botas altas a la pantorrilla, de moda para mujer de Koolaburra by UGG
If you don’t want to read my long review: I contacted Ugg and Koolaburra and these are REAL. They are extremely cute, comfy and comparable to original Uggs. I own both. The shaft is slightly tighter on these than Uggs.

First off I own several pairs of Ugg’s purchased from Nordstrom. I saw these and thought they were adorable so I decided to go with a size 8. All my other uggs are in size 7. These are a little big but the shaft is smaller in these Koolaburra at the top than normal uggs so I needed the size 8. I called Ugg and they confirmed these are genuine Koolaburra Uggs! I wish people would stop scaring others and saying they are fake when no research has been done! They changed the boot slightly and some people may have the older model. This is ridiculous that someone would claim they are fake without even contacting the company and asking! The ones I purchased were through the seller Zappos and they do NOT sell fake shoes! Come on y’all! Don’t say they are fake if they look slightly different or you just THINK they are. Contact the company and ask questions before you write a review scaring people and confusing people! Anyways like I said I have other Uggs (this is my first Koolaburra) and the quality on these Koolaburra is wonderful! The only difference to me is there is faux fur on the inside and uggs have the genuine shearling. The little bit of fur that sticks out on the outside of the Koolaburra is apparently genuine sheep. The suede on both Ugg’s and Koolaburra feels the same to me. The comfort is the same to me. As mentioned unfortunately the shaft is a little tighter on the top of the Koolaburra than normal Uggs so I went a size up. I have a slightly larger calf. The foot and ankle area is a tad big but it’s fine. If you have skinny/normal legs you should probably stick with your normal Ugg size. If you have bigger calves like me you may want to go up one from your normal Ugg size. For reference I can wear anywhere between a size 7-8 and I got these in an 8. Normal uggs in a 7. Bottom line they are absolutely precious and just as comfy as regular Uggs in my opinion! I sprayed them with water proofing spray. If you are looking to buy these because the normal Uggs are too expensive, yes BUY THEM! As someone who has both I will be sticking with Koolaburra from now on!

I'm an electrician that had to write a review for these. They shipped fast and arrived unbroken (they were wrapped in bubble wrap). I have three sets of 200 light icicle lights that needed a few bulbs replaced. The bases that shipped with these were a little loose for my strands so I swapped just the lamp and they work perfect.
For the people that wrote a bad review, like Debra (your math doesn't work that way with electricity). If you tried these in a smaller strand of lights (like a 50 light strand, Debra) they are too low voltage and will all pop instantly. These are low voltage and only suited for long strands of 200 to 300 lights like it says in the product description. If they are too loose, try swapping just the bulb (it's super easy and you can look up how on YouTube).
I wanted to give a good review because in the age of LEDs it is tougher to find quality incandescent Christmas lights and replacement bulbs. We love the soft warm glow of our lights and want to preserve them for years. This product makes that possible.
"sleep buddy pillow"
"sleep buddy pillow"
So the one pillow is great. It works like it says it will. it supports right. But my second pillow feels like it was only half stuffed. The one pillow would be completely filled up and support its own weight on the side, the second clearly dropped on the side. I went as far as weighing them to prove a point, and the second weighed 25% less than the first. I'm really disappointed in this as the first pillow is fantastic, but as a double deal, it's just not worth it. I'm not using the second, so i basically paid twice the price for one pillow. And the returns department wont accept just the one pillow back.

Sweetnight Pillow Bed Pillow for Neck Pain Sufferers-100% Cotton Fabric Anti Snore & Anti Allergy, Soft Hotel Quality Pillow for Back Stomach and Side Sleepers(1 Pack, 48 x 74 cm)
The first night I had this pillow, I was so
Impressed. Yes, it was a bit low so my neck was a little bit less comfortable but I figured that’s what gave it the anti-snoring properties. And the first night, my husband was thrilled that, for the first time in ages, I didn’t snore. I was overjoyed too. So when the next night came, I was confident that I would have another snore-free night. I was wrong. My husband said I snored again..maybe not as badly as before. Ok, we’ll that’s something of a win. I persevered. Sadly, since then (for the last 6 weeks or so), I have gone back to my normal snoring ways. Sadly, that is the sole reason why I bought this pillow so a bit of a waste of money for me. It’s reasonably comfortable, but less so than one I could pick up more cheaply for not boasting anti-snoring properties.
Speck Products CandyShell Pro iPhone 12 Pro Max Case Black/Black
Speck Products CandyShell Pro iPhone 12 Pro Max Case Black/Black
These are the only covers that I’ve ever used on all of my iPhones and I guess it’s time to look for a different brand. The Candy Shell covers used to have a shiny coating that created an awesome grip, and now with this “soft touch” crap the phone slides right out of my hands. Doesn’t someone test these things??! I don’t know if they’re getting cheap and don’t want to use good material, but this is awful and frustrating. They should seriously inquire what their customers think, maybe the cases would be made better.
Buddhism as Philosophy: An Introduction
Buddhism as Philosophy: An Introduction
As one who has been meditating for more than 30 years, I've picked up bits and pieces of Buddhist doctrines, symbols, rituals, and beliefs. Some concepts, though, have eluded me. Namely, "anatta" (the absence of selfhood), karma, and reincarnation have been particularly stubborn concepts for me to get my Western mind around. Mark Siderits' book has done a terrific job of unwrapping of Buddhist thought in a way that has helped me -- finally -- come to grips with some of the many seemingly paradoxical assumptions that form the bedrock of Buddhist practice. Best of all, this is no dry or academic exercise in formal philosophy. While it's solidly grounded in the best philosophical methodology, it's a very readable and compelling book, one that anybody with an interest in Buddhism will gain much from.
