The Boy Billionaire: Mark Zuckerberg In His Own Words (In Their Own Words)
The Boy Billionaire: Mark Zuckerberg In His Own Words (In Their Own Words)
I bought this book for a research assignment and it is a major letdown. The ration of written text to quotes is 1:2, I would estimate. This book has a lack of organization and mentions a lot about other famous celebrities, the text does not go well with the subtitles either. Much of the information irrelevant, I am highly disappointed. This tells nothing about Mark's life and its all useless information.
Mustard Seed Faith: Mountain-Moving Ideas to Change Your Life by Changing the Lives of Others
Mustard Seed Faith: Mountain-Moving Ideas to Change Your Life by Changing the Lives of Others
This book is thoughtful and evocative . As a friend of the author , I would love to give it 5 stars but I have to apply the iceberg principle which says that 90% is never seen . Eric's vision of the world we need to improve is flawed only in so far as thinking that so many people don't feel the same way he does . Perhaps it is my naivete that leads me to believe that most people are not ships of war but rather ships without rudders . To that extent , Eric offers beautiful and constructive ideas on how to help people find their rudder by reflecting the love of Christ in our own behavior . I hope that most people are not motivated by self aggrandizement but rather , they are fearful of the pain of rejection . We can all share Eric's hope but not if we think so many people are hopeless . Jesus taught us to leave the 99 to search for the one . I hope that everyone reading this book feels moved to touch at least one life and plant a mustard seed of hope in the life of another soul for hope is the seed from which faith grows .
The Museum of Mysteries: A Cassiopeia Vitt Novella
The Museum of Mysteries: A Cassiopeia Vitt Novella
Cotton Malone fans, don't waste your money.

I have read and enjoyed everything Steve Berry has written up until this point, including the various short stories. This latest release, however, bears no resemblance to any of his previous work. Without his name on the cover I would dare anyone to link this story to Mr. Berry's otherwise worderful storytelling. Yes, Cassiopeia Vitt is present and accounted for and there are two or three Cotton Malone name drops but I have a very hard time Steve Berry actually directly contributed to this published work. Having no previous knowledge of M.J. Rose I can only speculate that she is the true author and Mr. Berry's only involvement was allowing the use of his original character. This short story is such a complete departure from anything he has released previously that I found it impossible to believe that he crafted the words I have just finished reading.

Perhaps he wrote the present day sections and M.J. Rose wrote the flashback sections but even those aforementioned Vitt sequences feel "off" to me when compared to other Steve Berry works. Perhaps he is struggling with the transition to first person perspective. This doesn't, however, appear to be the case with his 2018 novel The Bishop's Pawn so I wouldn't put much stock in that theory.

I read Steve Berry to enjoy dramatic thrillers interlaced with historical intrigue. This story, is anything but. A ridiculous and far-fetched plot regarding Cassiopeai Vitt being the reincarnation of Morgan le Fay (yes, THE Morgan le Fay from Arthurian legend) is uninspiring and plays out like a cheap romance novel where M.J. Rose (I assume) spends a lot of time describing her sexual conquests in said past life. To make things even more ridiculous, the two primary male characters of this past life (brothers fighting each other for her castle, ect) just so happen to be brothers fighting over a ancient box of chemicals in modern day France that Cassiopeia Vitt encounters. Shame on you Mr. Berry for allowing this story to see the light of day as it will be a stain on what has been an otherwise consistent career where I have known exactly what I am going to get each time I pick up one of your books. Sadly, it might also cost you readers in the future as I have seen several comments which say as much. I will continue to read your books (looking forward to the Malta Exchange) for now and hope that this is a not a sign of things to come in hopes of appealing to a wider (female) audience.
SpaceX and Tesla Motors Engineer Elon Musk (STEM Trailblazer Bios)
SpaceX and Tesla Motors Engineer Elon Musk (STEM Trailblazer Bios)
I ordered this book as a gift and here is the response. There were no reviews at the time and this is the first one.

FYI, the book you ordered me was only about 20 pages long and apparently written for elementary schools. I am not joking. It was published by some sort of lower education publishing house.

I still read it and actually learned a few things about Elon that I did not already know. I always thought he was from Canada, but he actually grew up in South Africa and moved to Canada at 17 to avoid South Africa's compulsory military service for all young adults

Self-Love: Lessons From The 3 Best Motivational Speakers In The World. Learn from: Tony Robbins, Oprah Winfrey and Arnold Schwarzenegger. (Love Yourself,Self ... Love, Self Confidence & Self Esteem Book 1)
A total and utter waste of money and time. Although this 'book' of less then 50 pages purports to be about 'Self - Love', only pages 5 - 13 are actually relevant to this subject matter, the remaining few pages are the very basics of what 'Anxiety' is. I was shocked when I read...after only 9 pages... the words....'Thank you for choosing this book and I hope you enjoyed reading it' There is nothing I found of any worth in the 'book'. This is the first time I've ever left a negative review, but this item was shockingly bad.
Recasting the Machine Age: Henry Ford's Village Industries
Recasting the Machine Age: Henry Ford's Village Industries
Henry Ford is famous for setting up the basic concepts of mass production. And some of his factories Highland Park, River Rouge and Willow Run to name three were truly huge facilities producing huge numbers of vehicles, even aircraft. Yet at the same time he was concerned about the social aspects of the businesses.

In the early 1920's he was instrumental in Ford setting up nineteen smaller 'village industries.' Each of these industries were set up to provide some kind of easily specified component that would be used in Ford vehicles or manufacturing. These included things like voltage regulators, twist drills, manufacturing test equipment, etc.

After his death, in the late 1940's and early 1950's these nineteen was shut down, usually merged into a large factory in the newly formed parts division. This effort cannot be considered a failure. All in all, the nineteen plants were too small, too hard to manage.

Now similar outside suppliers provide such sub component manufacturing, but they are larger, and independently owned. This same concept is also followed closely in Japan where smaller independent suppliers make components for automobiles and other products.
Donald Trump Mask - Republican Presidential Candidate Mask
Donald Trump Mask - Republican Presidential Candidate Mask
Mask fits perfect. Good quality. I used this Trump mask to play a couple Megadeth covers. I have been getting bullied a lot from a bunch of people who don't know me. I asked them several times to stop but they kept it going anyways and wouldn't leave me alone. I hate the attention I keep getting but I also know that staying away from the internet won't stop them from picking on me. Since Trump is so controversial in the media I thought I would make a statement playing drums with his mask. All eyes would be on me now whether I liked it or not. Politics are the cause of so many wars not people. If our politicians could all get together to discuss things and make deals there would be no war. It's a great mask for any musician. Especially if you are going to play Megadeth. Make a statement with the presidents mask. When im being bullied by a bunch of people online they feel some sort of emotion. I put a lot into my performances and I want people to feel something when they see me play.

Bai Coconut Flavored Water, Molokai Coconut, Antioxidant Infused Drinks, 18 Fluid Ounce Bottles, 6 Count
Bai Coconut Flavored Water, Molokai Coconut, Antioxidant Infused Drinks, 18 Fluid Ounce Bottles, 6 Count
In the past I have been ordering the Coconut and Coconut Pineapple 12 packs on auto-ship and save and have absolutely loved them. This time I was running low so I ordered 4 additional six packs to hold me over until my auto ship and save ordered arrived. This order turned out to be horrible!!! All 4 boxes appeared to be contaminated with something. A few bottles were okay but the majority of them were so awful we were unable to drink them. They had a chemical taste that is hard to describe. I will not be ordering these again. They don’t even deserve 1 Star. I’m hoping I can get my money back.

Update: I requested a partial refund which was immediately approved. I rate their customer service 5 stars. I really don’t know what happened with this batch but I continue to love Bai Coconut Water. Thank you.

Teen Spirit Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Stick, Pink Crush 1.40 oz (Pack of 3)
This all i wore as teen and younger adult, then one day out of the blue no one had it anymore. I have struggled with finding an antiperspirant that works for me since, one works in the winter but not the summer, one works in the summer but not the winter, one works this summer through out but when the weather starts warming up it suddenly doesn't work any more at all.... The i got curious and looked it up on amazon and they have it! The fragrance isn't bad, so far this warm weather it is working, the real test will be when it really get hot here in the south. Just wish they had other "scents" for me too choose from, but hey! if it keeps working i happy with pink crush
Animals at Night: A Glow-in-the-Dark Book
Animals at Night: A Glow-in-the-Dark Book
Gave this gift to my nephew over the holidays paired with one of those partial over-the-bed glow tents. Total hit. I only flipped through a few times and made a few pages glow but was very impressed with the quality of the writing, illustrations, and the glow-in-the-dark effects. This is exactly the kind of book I'd have loved as a kid. Definite keeper for years to come. I'd absolutely purchase again for another child.
The Green Screen Handbook: Real-World Production Techniques
The Green Screen Handbook: Real-World Production Techniques
Jeff Foster's "The Green Screen Handbook" is a thorough, detailed description of how to shoot green screen video.

The book provides a wealth of in-depth information. It describes:

-Multiple setups that one can purchase or construct to create your green screen shooting space or studio, ranging from budgets of a few hundred dollars to more expansive setups;

-The various lights and lighting arrangements that one can use when shooting green screen--again, providing information on an array of lighting choices, from the homemade to the professional--and how to use and vary these when shooting;

-Digital cameras in green screening, how to shoot both live to broadcast, as well as for video productions;

-How to position, direct, and light your actors/talent so that it best maximizes the use of the green screen;

-The use of the many software programs and plugins available to composite your results, including information on the advantages of different programs;

-How to composite shots from multiple colored screens;

-Using virtual sets;

and considerably more.

This is an extensive book. It provides information on how to use green screen for productions ranging from home studio and relatively smaller scale/indie productions to green screening for major motion picture releases. It offers troubleshooting advice. And it includes, in the print version, a DVD with example and sample footage. The book even provides a history of the technique.

If you are looking for a detailed, extensive book on the tools, techniques, and processes of shooting and creating "green screen" footage and live green screen broadcasts, from the set-up to the fine tuning of the results, from the small budget to the major film, and from the build-it-yourself to the professional gear, "The Green Screen Handbook" offers all of this and more.

Marvel Avengers Black Panther Spiderman Hulk Boys' Athletic T-Shirt & Mesh Shorts Set
Marvel Avengers Black Panther Spiderman Hulk Boys' Athletic T-Shirt & Mesh Shorts Set
Highly recommend. I got set for my son to wear at a southern california summer super hero party. I knew a full sleeve and pant costume wouldn't work since it was supposed to be in the 90's for the event. I found this set and some green face paint and purchased it right away. My son was so stoked to be the hulk. He didn't know the difference of having a full costume with padded muscles like some of the others and who cares, he was the only kid in a weather appropriate costume! The other kids were taking their hot costumes off half way through. The shirt is of great quality and light weight. The shorts are a bit thicker but great quality as well. Alot of the face paint ended up around the collar of the shirt but washed out completely. I want to have him wear it again, would even be appropriate to wear at the beach. He wears a 4T and that's what I purchased. Fit great.

Baby Ruth Milk Chocolate Halloween Candy Bars, Full Size Bulk Ferrero Candy for Trick or Treat Bags, 1.9 oz (Pack of 24)
and yet, i have a couple gripes. 1 i hate when they took candy bars or king size bars and split them in half. if i wanted a smaller candy bar id buy one or the fun size. something satisfying about holding a candy bar, probably something from childhood when youre finally old enough to get your own grown up size lol i also wish i was able to find a box with about half the quantity. 2 dozen os a little much and I'll need to give some away, maybe to co workers with a nice note as a pick me up. anyways, i had been craving a Baby Ruth and could never seem to find them when i was in the store. so overall a decent enough price and the new packaging is def new but not as charming as the original. but then again its candy. so enjoy.
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy: Music from the Motion Pictures Arranged for Easy Piano
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy: Music from the Motion Pictures Arranged for Easy Piano
"Easy" is a hard word. I'm just coming back to the keyboard after 30+ years away and I can't say what level of player I was when I left (past Fur Elise; stalled on the Moonlight Sonata). Have been buying a host of popular music for "easy" piano and it varies. Some is so simplified I have it down on the third time through; others send me to the flash cards to learn what those off-staff notes are. LOTR is right in the middle of the range.

--A few songs from each of the three movies. In Dreams and Concerning Hobbits are the ones I'm learning first; will go back to the DVD and listen differently to decide which of the remaining songs I liked enough to want to learn.

--For the most part, no more than four notes in play at any one time, and a lot places where the music is one note, each hand. A smattering of 16th notes but mostly quarters, some eighths, and half notes.

--Easy key signatures; mostly C and the rest two sharps or two flats max.

--Lots and lots of 12-note arpeggios without a lot of fingering assistance in the left hand.

--Notes range two octaves above and below middle C.

In sum? There are enough notes on each page that the song sounds good, yet easy enough to recognize the tune on the first or second time through. Plan: master this book, then buy the individual movie scores one at a time as I get better and want a richer sound.
Dr. Seuss's Circus McGurkus 1,2,3! Cloth Book (Dr. Seuss Nursery Collection)
Dr. Seuss's Circus McGurkus 1,2,3! Cloth Book (Dr. Seuss Nursery Collection)
This and the “Dr. Seuss - Cat in the Hat Rag Book” are the only cloth books that actually have a little short story with fun rhyming words and bright illustrations that I can find. My 2yr old daughter loves bedtime stories and wants to keep the last book we read in bed when I leave her so she can look through them on their own, but she also rips them up. Even board books. We love them so much, when my dog decided to chew her Circus McGurkus Rag Book up, I came to amazon in search of a another, found out they made another Rag Book (Cat in the Hat) and bought both. You won’t be disappointed!

The J. R. R. Tolkien Companion and Guide: Boxed Set
The J. R. R. Tolkien Companion and Guide: Boxed Set
It goes without saying that the content of this expanded and revised edition of the Companion & Guide is of a high quality, as we have come to expect from Hammond & Scull. The original edition was already very comprehensive, and it will depend on your apetite for the material, whether you need to "upgrade". If you don't have the first edition and you have an interest in Tolkien's life and works, this is one of those must-have editions, though.

In terms of the physical construction of the books, this review is for the 1st printing of the boxed set. They are - unfortunately - printed in China (I knocked off a star for that), but unlike some of the other recent HarperCollins Chinese editions (which have been awful), the books are well-made and have curved spines and high quality jackets. The slipcase is solid (more solid than the first edition), and the only downside is that the first batch had excess glue, which can stick to the edges of the dustjackets. If you get such a set, you will need to remove the books very gently. A little bit of paper from the inside of the slipcase will come off onto the jackets, but this can easily be removed with a thumbnail. Presumably later printings will not have this problem, and certainly some of the initial run were sent back by the publisher to be re-jacketed and slipcased.
Conversational Apologetics Course: Practicing the Art of Sharing Your Faith with Others
Conversational Apologetics Course: Practicing the Art of Sharing Your Faith with Others
First, anybody considering this purchase needs to be aware that the book is useless without also buying three additional books: Questioning Evangelism by Randy Newman, The Reason for God by Tim Keller, and Mere Christianity by Lewis.

Second, there are two small reading assignments from Mere Christianity and only a few brief examples from Lewis used. The majority of the book has little to do with C.S. Lewis or his understanding of the Christian faith. My impression is they are just using Lewis's name recognition.

Finally, be aware that Newman and Keller are both, not only Reformed (Calvinists), but a part of the neo-Calvinist movement (The Gospel Coalition; Young, Restless, Reformed; etc.). Note that however much Calvinists may like Lewis, he was not a Calvinist so if your thinking about buying this b/c you like C.S. Lewis then forget it. There are plenty of evangelism books from a non-Calvinist point of view; it seems to me it would be best to leave this book to those Calvinists who want to be guided through Newman and Keller's books since that is really what the book does.

Just to be clear I am giving this book only two stars because I bought as a non-Calvinist C.S. Lewis fan and am disappointed by how little it has to do with Lewis and how much it has to do with Reformed-styled evangelism. Also, it probably deserves one star since it does not make it clear that you need to buy additional books to get any use out of it.
Logan Likes Mary Anne! (The Baby-sitters Club, 10) (10)
Logan Likes Mary Anne! (The Baby-sitters Club, 10) (10)
Posted originally on my blog: [...]

When I first read this book as a child, I absolutely adored Mary Anne and Logan as a couple. Even now, I haven’t read the later books that made Logan out to be a jerk and for me they were the “it” couple in the world of The Baby-sitters Club.

My feelings for Mary Anne as a character has always flip flopped. Especially since I can’t relate to her over the top shyness. I’ve met shy people before, but never have I met one as shy as Mary Anne is described.

However, the thing I liked about these books was the fact that despite it’s a never ending eight grade year, the girls do grow and mature in front of your eyes. For Mary Anne, she had the most to grow in terms of speaking up for herself and began the process in book four, Mary Anne Saves the Day. In this book, she takes the next big step towards becoming a teenager and gets her first crush, who winds up being her boyfriend. I thought the idea of making Logan interested in baby-sitting was also a great one, because it gave them some common ground.

My only criticism is, that while Mary Anne is growing up in these books, her shyness is bothersome. I don’t know of anyone who would have ran from a surprise birthday cake. Especially if they had already been at the party for quite some time and was enjoying themselves. But besides that, this is still one of my favorite books from this series and it was nice to relive Mary Anne’s first crush.
A Lamp for Nightfall: A Novel
A Lamp for Nightfall: A Novel
That little quote pretty much sums it up in this story—so similar in tone and characterization to many of Caldwell’s others, even if entirely different in setting. I’ll let the remainder of the paragraph clue you in: “(d)on’t guess such things happen anywhere else in the whole world now, except down-Maine. But wasn’t always so in the past, and I’d have been the first to damn any man who claimed it was. It must be the kind of people we’ve grown to be that makes it happen like it does now. Can’t see any other reason for solid men like me and you, Lincoln and George, and all the rest of us true townsmen petering out and just sitting back to give leave to things happening when, how and where they have a will to. It’s the early autumn and hard winter coming on that brings it about. Looks like all such things come about at a season of the year, and the time to be dreaded is coming over us again. Dwelling houses without lighted windows at nightfall are getting to be as common a sight as pesky milkweed pods shedding floss in August.”

I’ll let this first paragraph of Chapter 20 round out my review, as I think it contributes equally to a summing up of the story. To my way of thinking, Caldwell manages to use the landscape and a few of a character’s concerted actions to paint a picture in the reader’s mind that perfectly sets the tone and object of the story. “(o)ne by one the blinds were closed over the windows. Finally, only the two kitchen windows were left to allow the short winter daylight to shine into the house. By the time winter had set in, Thede had closed all the rooms except the kitchen. He prepared one or two meals a day there, and in the evening he lay down on the quilt-covered couch by the range and slept a little during the long night, half an hour or an hour at a time. During his hours of wakefulness he would sit by one of the windows and gaze unseeingly out into the darkness of the night. The short winter days began at eight-thirty in the forenoon and by four or four-thirty twilight came. Most of his time during the day was spent sitting at a window and looking out over the bleak north country where the ground and new forest was deep in crusts and drifts of snow.”

This story is primarily about a small-town, dysfunctional Maine family—about as dysfunctional as any set of characters Caldwell has created (in my reading, to date, of his works). That’s as much as I’ll say about the plot, except to encourage you to find the book and read his account for yourself. You won’t be disappointed; that, I promise.

Into the Lion's Mouth: The True Story of Dusko Popov: World War II Spy, Patriot, and the Real-Life Inspiration for James Bond
Into the Lion's Mouth: The True Story of Dusko Popov: World War II Spy, Patriot, and the Real-Life Inspiration for James Bond
Just fabulous, riveting and quite informative. Hollywood/Ian Fleming could never reproduce even a fictional story that would rival the true life story of Dusko Popov. Simply remarkable was his continued willingness to place himself in among those who would vaporize him in a moment if discovered. Such steely nerves. Book is bit difficult for the first few chapters, but they do lay the ground work for an exciting and captivating 2nd half. Found interesting the information presented regarding the (still) dysfunctional FBI and that truly dangerous/repugnant person: J. Edgar Hoover. Similar to the revelations about Hoover contained in Betty Metzger's book 'The Burglary'; her book on the Media, PA burglary of the local FBI office during the Vietnam protest period. The stark contrast between someone like Dusko Popov and the Brits vs Hoover & the FBI is simply staggering. All that aside, hang in there through the first part of the book, it rewards you as you move on.

BRIKSMAX Led Lighting Kit for Harry Potter Hogwarts Express- Compatible with Lego 75955 Building Blocks Model- Not Include The Lego Set
Love the effects this lighting kit gives the LEGO Hogwarts Express train and King’s Cross Station! It came really well packaged, but I mixed up two pieces still. Pay attention to the lengths of the cables you should be using where. The hardest part was getting all of the cables into the connector for the station. The instructions have an ok way to wire the train, I ended up lifting up the whole engine assembly and running them underneath to hide them a bit better.
Lego: Legends of Chima: The Complete Second Season
Lego: Legends of Chima: The Complete Second Season
I think this show has some great potential. It's just one of those things that you have to keep an open mind about. While a few supporting features including dialogue and humor may need some work, The overall story, characters, music score, and atmosphere is what makes me a fan. Although, keep in mind, this is meant to be a kids show, so they want to make the dialogue and humor as understandable to kids as possible. So it really doesn't matter much to me if it's short in that department. In summary, even though this show may not be desirable to outsiders, as long as you keep an open mind, it can be as good as any other show. It could be better, but it's certainty better than nothing. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it very much.

Harry Potter Micro Lunch Box Tin "Journey to Hogwarts"
It came small, and dented.
But it's still a really good collector's item for Potterheads everywhere! It's picture is in both sides and comes with a really nice tag that says Harry Pitter in the Philosopher's Stone background. I would have kept the whole thing if my dog hadn't chewed it up!

Super cute!! This one looks more realistic than other Hedwig plushes i have seen. Its nice and soft but does NOT stand up on its own. I had to hang it with a string for it to look like it was standing properly in the bird cage. I bought it to use as a prop for a HP inspired birthday party. The kid loves it and now sleeps with it.

Magic in the Roman World: Pagans, Jews and Christians (Religion in the First Christian Centuries)
Fascinating, unusual window into the ancient world where Judaism, Roman paganism and a myriad of forgotten belief systems converge to result in Magic, as they knew it. Highly recommended for it's intimate look into an age gone by, and for the view it gives us of how our present beliefs were evolved. Quite scholarly and technical, not an "easy read". That's why I held back on the one star.
JARLIF Women's Memory Foam Slip On Walking Tennis Shoes Lightweight Gym Jogging Sports Athletic Running Sneakers US5.5-10
JARLIF Women's Memory Foam Slip On Walking Tennis Shoes Lightweight Gym Jogging Sports Athletic Running Sneakers US5.5-10
First when the sneakers arrived they came in a bag and not a box. So I thought are you serious they came in a bag at that minute I did not even want to open the package thinking wow these sneakers are probably not going to be any good. I said they can't even ship them in the shoe box. So I waited a few minutes then opened the package and they looked ok, my son took one and tried to get it on his foot but did not happen. I told him I ordered them tom where at work they have memory foam and maybe they would help my legs and back due to me being on my feet at work from 10 to 14 hours a day. My son said yeah mom they should try them on. So I did and they felt like I was walking on a air, I said wow these feel really good and they fit me just right. My son said yeah they look good they look like adidas mom. I said they were only like 26 dollars I think I am going to get another pair so I have 2 pairs for work. So yes right now because I am off today I am going to order another pair right now. I wore the sneakers yesterday to work and I did a 13 hour shift and when I came home and took my shoes off my feet did not hurt and no pains in my legs fell asleep quickly.

It might be good but since i was about a quarter of the way through when amazon decided to remove it from the Great Courses Collection I'll never know. Maybe give people an idea of when you plan on removing something, might prevent them from wasting their time.

Power Of Nature Memory Foam Pillow, Ergonomic Deep Sleep Contour Bed Pillow, Best Support Neck Pillows Anti Snore And Orthopaedic - Washable Pillow Cover 60 * 35 * 11/9CM
This is not a bouncy soft pillow. I miss the fluffy feeling of s normal pillow. It took a few days to get used to the shape. That all being said, I bought this pillow because I was having nearly constant neck pain. I was tired of pillows losing shape and support and leaving me in pain (literally). So this pillow has done exactly what’s it’s meant to. I got this just under a month ago and have hardly had any neck pain. I gave it 4 stars only because I miss the feel of a regular pillow, but that’s only my preference...I wouldn’t switch back to a regular pillow because waking without neck pain FAR outweighs preference to pillow fluffiness. Would most definitely recommend! And it’s a fab price!
Silentnight Firm Support Pillow Pair, Ideal for Side Sleepers
Silentnight Firm Support Pillow Pair, Ideal for Side Sleepers
These pillows are not firm, and are very flat, making it really uncomfortable to sleep on the side as your head doesn't get any real support. They seem to have a pad or something inside but I don't understand what's the purpose. We are using them, just not for the use they have been advertised for. We are still sleeping on our old memory foam pillows.
If you want a pillow to sleep on the side just get a normal memory foam one.
VIVO Black Single Top Height Adjustable 27 inch Standing Desk Converter, Sit Stand Tabletop Monitor Laptop Riser Workstation, DESK-V000HB
VIVO Black Single Top Height Adjustable 27 inch Standing Desk Converter, Sit Stand Tabletop Monitor Laptop Riser Workstation, DESK-V000HB
Exactly as advertised? Well that's refreshing, isn't it? I did a lot of research to find a standing desk solution that would deliver the benefit without the $175+ price tag of the VariDesk. So this Vivo one seems to be fitting the bill. I'm on Day 3 of using it & will come back with an update if anything significant changes.

On Day 1, I loved it. It's easy to lift & lower to find the exact height to keep my arms/shoulders in proper position. It's wide enough to fit my laptop, notebook/papers & charging cell phone. I stood for 6 hours total (broken up by a 30-minute lunch break) & decided I loved this thing. The only lesson I learned was that I need to wear supportive tennis shoes if I'm going to stand that long (I work at home & usually don't wear shoes around the house).

On Day 2, I stood for a couple of hours, then my legs started to get a little tired. I was mentally so used to standing to work from the prior day that I momentarily forgot that I could sit down. Duh! So I lowered the desk (easily) and kept working sitting down and varied standing/sitting the rest of the day.

Today, on Day 3, it's much like Day 2. For some reason I'm not as energized to stand all day (like I was on Day 1). My lower back is a little achey after standing a couple hours and my legs are a little tingly. I think this has absolutely nothing to do with the desk; however, it does point out to me the importance of the easy-to-lift-and-lower functionality. So if you (like another reviewer) get one that isn't easy to lift/lower, get in contact with the company. The fact that they reply to 1-star & 2-star ratings is one reason I chose to buy from them compared to others selling what looks to be this exact desk at equal or lesser cost.

I will say that with the height of my stationary desk (leg room underneath) & the max raise of my adjustable chair, my arms are at an above-90 degree angle when the adjustable desk is in its fully-lowered position which sort of puts a strain on my arms after a while. But, optimist that I am, this just reminds me that perhaps it's time to stand up again. All in all, I like the desk. Based on their responses to low-star ratings, this company seems to stand behind their product & fixes problems when there is a defect or damage. I'm actually considering buying 1 or 2 more for my teenagers. I just wish I had thought of this during the summer when they were spending more time on their computers. But I guess they sit most of the day in school too though, so standing for a couple hours for afternoon/evening computering will be good for them!

I don’t want to be completely negative about this product but I had a bad experience with it! First, it was wobbly and did not sit flat on my counter because the rubber footpads were to short. The biggest problem:however, was the unit itself and how it functions when its at the pressure point. When the unit reaches the pressure point it makes a loud whistling sound for what seems forever and the screen blinks “Lid”-which made me think the lid was on wrong but the manual says nothing about this (confusing)! I read the manual, but there was nothing regarding this being the norm. I did all the troubleshooting and when I called their customer support they asked if I had followed the trouble shooting steps. The manufacturer opened a ticket, but still haven’t gotten back to me, it’s been a week. This unit looks and has good features but is not user friendly.

LA TETERA AZUL Infusión De Manzanilla Premium, Pura, Limpia, Sin Hojas Ni Tallos. Infusión Digestiva Y Alivio Gases. Bote A Granel De 50 Gramos Para 33 Infusiones.
