The medium worked according to the size chart and worked for the person I gave it too. However I’ll say it’s a touch on the small side- just a little. Stuck to the chart recommendation but keep in mind this will have more of a fitted note square look on the torso. Excellent quality!

JBL Pure Bass Sound T450 Wired On-Ear Headphones White
JBL Pure Bass Sound T450 Wired On-Ear Headphones White

June Tailor Inc June Tailor T-shirt Project Fusible Interfacing, Each, White
June Tailor Inc June Tailor T-shirt Project Fusible Interfacing, Each, White
1st time making a t shirt quilt and Im making 3 at the same time. Great interfacing, easy to use. Like the but But there is 1 small problem I didn't think about before. The size. Tip the though the June Tailor does provide a generous amount of interfacing compared to buying it by the yard in a fabric store you have keep in mind how big the shirts you want to use are or else you'll be spending and buying more than if you went by the yard. I'm personally using large adult sizes along with some kid sizes which also have pretty big desing. When using larger large sizes 1 pack will be able to take up to 10- 13 shirts. With that said so far I've needed more than a few packages. If you have mutiple large and up shirts try using or find a bigger interfacing. If you're using child sizes or infant sizes this back might be able to the trick.

BEILUNER Ballpoint Pens, Stunning Red Chrome Metal Pen with Silver Trim, Best Ball Pen Gift Set for Men & Women, Professional, Executive, Office, Nice Pens-Gift Box with 0.5mm Black Extra Refill
This Beiluner ballpoint pen is the perfect luxury pen for those on a tight budget. I ordered the black chrome version with the gold trim and I love it! The pen looks sleek and luxurious like something you would see on the office desk of a CEO.

I actually bought this one as a gift to celebrate my boyfriend's promotion, but I like it so much I'm going to have to get one for myself. The silver one looks really nice too!

The best thing about this pen is the way it writes. The .5mm ballpoint tip produces a super smooth writing experience. The pen feels like it's gliding across the paper rather than scratching it like a lot of other fine point pens do. The ink comes out smooth but precise, with no excess globs to worry about. It really feels more like a high end fountain pen the way it writes.

I love the size and feel of it, too. It has a somewhat broad body and a nice subtle weight to it that makes it suitable for men or anyone with large hands but without being too heavy or bulky. It also tapers off toward the tip, making it easy and comfortable to grip for any size hands, even if you have short stubby fingers like me!

I received the pen in a nice organized box, along with a spare ink cartridge and a card to register for a free 2 year warranty! That's a really nice touch. I've never had a warranty on a pen before lol. But honestly, with the extra ink included, I doubt you would ever even need it. This is a quality pen and very well constructed. For such a great price, this pen does not feel cheap at all.

Overall, I am incredibly happy with this purchase. This Beiluner ballpoint pen would be the perfect gift idea for any professional men or women you know who appreciate the finer things in life, or anyone who just has a fascination with fancy pens like my boyfriend does .
Marvel Captain America Mens Socks Costume Stars And Stripes Crew Sock 1 Pair
Marvel Captain America Mens Socks Costume Stars And Stripes Crew Sock 1 Pair
They're really a good pair of socks, as socks go.
I included a picture. I think it's clear the one on the left is the brand new pair, and the one on the right is the old pair. As you can tell from the picture these held up well with regular use. They got a lot of use, actually because they're really good socks. I've got a number of knee high and midcalf socks and spend a lot of time yanking my socks up during the day if I don't use sock glue (which can be a pain in the ass to use). These socks stay up without help, they're not uncomfortable, the design stayed nice despite it all. Honestly, the first pair were so good when they got a hole in the heel, i went looking for a second pair to replace them.

I could not recommend them more. I'd like to, but it's just not possible.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! No matter what your fandom, there's something in here for every geek! I was THRILLED with the Doctor Who references...but if you like Sherlock, Hunger Games, Star Trek, Star Wars, tabletop or MMO gaming, Firefly, Heros, Monsters, general science or math theories...this book is FOR YOU.

My son has been interested in this book for well over a year, and he's 2.5 yrs old now. He knows a ton of the pictures and can tell you what they are. He has trouble saying "Fibonacci Sequence" but has "alternate reality" down pat. I'm one proud nerd mama!
The Maine Woods
The Maine Woods
Thoreau is not really a great WRITER, per se. Dude's style is indicative of the time it was written it - the transitional period between laughable old-timey ye olde English and more modern literature. His sentences are sprawling, comma-riddled abominations that require frequent re-reading for true comprehension.

That said, his work is a great window into the past. He manages a rare feat: capturing the sense of what it was like to simply BE in the middle of the 19th century. How people talked, what towns looked like, what it FELT like to be alive. That is invaluable, to me. And he also conveys the majesty, magic, and mystery of the still-vast Maine woods, scarred by widespread logging, but resilient.

Thoreau approached this book with the dutiful eye of a documentarian or historian, not with the sweeping or hyperbolic hand of a literary writer. He tends to list obscure details, place-names, etc, at excessive length. Yet somehow the whole is greater than the sum of its relatively banal parts. And his attention to detail also affords him an eerily accurate look into the future of the Maine woods - he will observe the germ of a nascent logging village and remark that it won't be long before urban-dwelling "society types" take it over as a vacation kitschy "real New England" village vacation spot. Heh.

If you're an outdoors-loving New Englander who has traipsed around the woods near Bangor yourself, definitely pick this up. If you're looking for some philosophical guidance or an easy relaxing read, try somewhere else.
Borden Chantry: A Novel
Borden Chantry: A Novel
...to be average among all the books Louis L'Amour wrote is to be better than 99.999% of all Western novels ever written. If you read a lot, you're probably familiar with LL. If you haven't read anything by LL then you should stop telling people you read a lot, because LL has written so many great books (and not all Westerns by any means), that to never have read a Louis L'Amour book is just...well...a travesty. I read somewhere that John Wayne once said that his favorite movie in which he starred was Hondo by LL.

What more can I say, but maybe, for some quality control, I should say they my favorite Western book that went to the Big Screen was not written by LL, it was written by Larry McMurtry, it is Lonesome Dove. So, while I do love and respect LL, he is not the only "great" Western novelist.
Always With Love
Always With Love
So far I only read the fist story and it seems a bit cheesy to me. Jessica seems like an inmature girl and Brodie seems like an overbearing tyrant that comes across as more future abuser than sexy take charge. The book is ok if you just want some mindless reading and not have to think too much.
Dennoch, unbedingt lesen!!!!

Isao Tomita - Osamu Tezuka Sakuhin Ongakusenshu (5CDS) [Japan LTD Blu-spec CD II] COCX-39821
If you like old anime series and movies, especially from Osamu Tezuka works (the creator of Astro Boy, Black Jack, Blue Triton, Princess Knight, Unico and Jungle Emperor and a lot of other great series and movies) and was in love with the music you definitely should consider to buy this amazing collection, it will awake a lot of good memories. What you get for your money:

1. A booklet with almost 100 pages of information about the songs, background details, the anime itself and even the lyrics of the songs (unfortunately only in Japanese)
2. 5 CDs with a nice illustration at the front and with the amazingly beautiful music.
The first CD is about Jungle Emperor with 60 tracks.
The second about Princess Knight with 66 tracks.
The third is about Dororo with 69 tracks.
The fourth is about A thousand and one nights with 39 tracks.
The fifth and last one is about Big X and a few other series/movies.
3. A hard paper box where you can put your collection and booklet. Even the box is well made.

The collection is pricey but you get a lot of good music here and Isao Tomita is an amazing composer. I'm really happy I bought it and I can't stop listening to it.
Karl May
Karl May
Logan Likes Mary Anne! (The Baby-sitters Club, 10) (10)
Logan Likes Mary Anne! (The Baby-sitters Club, 10) (10)
Posted originally on my blog: [...]

When I first read this book as a child, I absolutely adored Mary Anne and Logan as a couple. Even now, I haven’t read the later books that made Logan out to be a jerk and for me they were the “it” couple in the world of The Baby-sitters Club.

My feelings for Mary Anne as a character has always flip flopped. Especially since I can’t relate to her over the top shyness. I’ve met shy people before, but never have I met one as shy as Mary Anne is described.

However, the thing I liked about these books was the fact that despite it’s a never ending eight grade year, the girls do grow and mature in front of your eyes. For Mary Anne, she had the most to grow in terms of speaking up for herself and began the process in book four, Mary Anne Saves the Day. In this book, she takes the next big step towards becoming a teenager and gets her first crush, who winds up being her boyfriend. I thought the idea of making Logan interested in baby-sitting was also a great one, because it gave them some common ground.

My only criticism is, that while Mary Anne is growing up in these books, her shyness is bothersome. I don’t know of anyone who would have ran from a surprise birthday cake. Especially if they had already been at the party for quite some time and was enjoying themselves. But besides that, this is still one of my favorite books from this series and it was nice to relive Mary Anne’s first crush.
Ronia, the Robber's Daughter
Ronia, the Robber's Daughter
We got this book after watching the Anime series on Amazon Video. My four year old boy loved the series, and after a while he got all of us to love it, too. Only when the show was over did I realize it's based on a book, so I got the book here on Amazon. It turns out the show follows the book almost perfectly, which if you do the math means each of 26 episodes only needs to cover 7 pages to reach the book's 176 pages. No wonder! nothing much ever happened in an episode. We used to joke about it, but it was still fun to watch.

Yes, this *is* a book review. As soon as we finished the series, I started reading the book to him, and it's been fun because he already knows the story. While I read he fills in upcoming details as he remembers things. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't be able to read him such a grownup book. And as any parent with four kids knows, it gets pretty awful reading the same dumb pre-K books over and over, kid after kid, on and on to doomsday.

The book uses slightly different names than the series. The big change is "Mattis" in the Anime, and "Matt" in the book. He got mad at me when I read "Matt" the first few times, so I started translating it to "Mattis" for him. Of course I only did it right 80% of the time, and after a while he got mad when I said "Mattis" and wanted me to just say "Matt". When I read "Little Pip" in the book, he remembered that in the TV show it was "Little Snip." Did I mention he's a super genius!

Anyway, if you liked the series, get the book too! Or vice-versa
Summary & Study Guide The Glass Bead Game by Hermann Hesse
Summary & Study Guide The Glass Bead Game by Hermann Hesse
As a study guide, this did not help at all and I was sorry that I did not just buy the whole book.If you have not read the book, the study guide makes little sense. Since this is a philosophical treatise, it would pay the rader to read the whole thing.
Countdown
Countdown
"Countdown" was published in 1970, the year after American astronauts became the first Earth-dwellers to set foot on the moon. In this novel, Frank G. Slaughter offers up his vision of a (then) not-too-distant future; no exact date is given, but one can infer that it's the late 1970s, possibly the early '80s. The area around Cape Canaveral has been built up into a thriving community devoted primarily to the aerospace industry: Spaceport City. As this novel opens, the city is abuzz with final preparations for the launch of the massive space station Pegasus, just a few weeks away.

Dr. Michael Barnes grew up in Florida, but ever since the traumatic accident that ended his own career venturing into space - and the humiliating hearings that followed - he's been lying low in California, working quietly in the field of space medicine (the study of the effects of spaceflight conditions on the human body). Best known for his research on the breakdown of marriages and families among aerospace personnel, Mike is satisfied with his peaceful life - until a call from an old friend on the Senate Space Oversight Committee, asking him to head to Spaceport City for a private investigation into the Pegasus project. Mike agrees, and soon he finds himself immersed in a work-hard, play-hard world where he will be faced with love, danger, and corruption in high places.

Readers today will find "Countdown" pretty dated, and the novel is perhaps best read now not as futuristic fiction but as alternative history, a glimpse into what it might have been like if the American space program had kept on picking up steam instead of more or less fizzling out after Apollo. It's not so smoothly written as it could be (not surprising in the work of an author who regularly churned out two or three novels a year); a number of characters are introduced who add little or nothing to the story, and several subplots that seem terribly important in the beginning are all but dropped as the novel progresses, only to be wrapped up tidily in the end.

Still, for all this novel's flaws, it's darn good reading. It's got everything: budding romance, mortal peril, a few slightly seedy bits, a mystery or two, a hypocritical religious fanatic, technical details of medicine and astronautics engagingly presented in a way you don't need an advanced degree to understand, and a bang-up climax. Slaughter's observations on the "human element" of every technological endeavor - and how it can make or break the mightiest project - are as relevant and sobering today as they ever were. The backstory Slaughter has created for his characters and the official agencies within which they work is seamlessly melded into the real history of the space program, blurring the lines between pure fact and pure fantasy in a way that helps the reader suspend his disbelief and accept this history-that-might-have-been.

"Countdown" is a suspenseful, engaging read, with protagonists you can't help but root for (and a few bad guys you'll love to hate). If you enjoyed Crichton's "Airframe," you won't want to miss it.
The Barley Hole Chronicles: From Hell to Hamburg
The Barley Hole Chronicles: From Hell to Hamburg
When I ordered this book, I was expecting an interesting read, but I wasn't expecting to be totally enthralled with an autobiography.

The first half of the book, 1923: Lies and Testaments, covers only the period from Harry's birth to the end of WWII, but you know the saying, "You had me at hello?" Well, Harry had me with the Author's Introduction. Just that Introduction was worth the cost of the book!

As I read his words that covered his childhood during the Great Depression in England, I could see, hear, and smell a time and place that I had never known. I could feel the pain and strength in a young boy that I had also never known. But, I cared for him; I would have cried for him, but I had read the Introduction and saw the strength and the amazing grasp on life that young boy grew up to have.

I've also read many books about WWII, but never one that took me realistically into the mind and body of a young soldier who thought and acted exactly the way young men do regardless of wars or poverty or other horrors. The book, though an autobiography, reads like a novel, depicts reality with the realism that only novelist generally capture, and captures the reader's heart with the point-of-view of the protagonist, a very real young boy and man.

In the last half of the book, Hamburg 1947: A Place for the Heart to Kip, I found myself reading a love story. He tells his story of meeting and falling in love with Friede, a young German girl, with a realistic poignancy that I have seldom found in the written word. Reading his words about about the young girl who would become his wife and share half a century with him, I remembered for the first time in decades what young love was like. I remembered it just as he described it, "It was primal, it was emotional, and it was natural...." For anyone who loves a love story that depicts truth instead of trite romance, this book is a must read.
But even more, this book is a love story between a man and a place that existed in the restraint of a given time. The place is no longer the place it was, and that time is now long past. But, that love still lives strong, and is now captured forever in the pages of this book. For me, perhaps, the most astonishing thing was to read about a post-war that I had never been taught about and never even imagined. Being an American, I have been taught that we and our allies were the "good" guys. Now I know that innocent people, children, mothers, and old people suffered at the hands of the Allies for simply having been born where they were born. I know that "Friede and her family lived off a soup that tasted like rainwater and ate bread made from animal feed." Such hardships were the result of Allied occupation. This knowledge has given me a greater understanding of the long-term horrors of war, any war, that continue long after the last shot has been fired.
I've never met Harry Leslie Smith; we are continents apart. But, I feel like I know him, that in someway I've shared his experiences, and that he's taken me on a journey through a great depression in England and a war in Europe. I would recommend this book to anyone!

I was going to build a stand for the tower and good ole Amazon had this pop up in my search. This was my first time doing this and having the rings you attach the ballon to was great. The plastic is not the best but works. I would not recommend this for outdoor use but inside it was great. I didn’t add water to the base which I should have because it keep falling over.

The product broke within minutes of my son playing with it on christmas. The return window has closed so now we cant get a replacement or our money back. A week later the blue ranger we bought broke as well in the same place..the legs...I have seen many complaints on amazon about these particular items but thought it was not real...I know now these figures are made poorly and not worth the money. Unfortunately my son loves these...I am very disappointed.

Controller Charger for Xbox 360, Y Team Xbox 360 Controller Battery Charger Kit, Dual Charger Charging Docking Station Kit for Xbox 360 360E 360S Controller with 2 Battery Pack (Charger with Battery)
I bought this to replace the last set of rechargeable batteries that no longer worked. Sadly the first nor the replacement set ever work with any of my 4 controllers:
1) I setup charging dock
2) put the batteries into my remotes
3) let them fully charge
4) powered on
the remotes never would find the xbox, just flash the circle light... I put in my old "AA" batteries and it works just fine. I have some old controllers, but still Microsoft controllers that have worked with other brands of re-chargeable batteries.

Needless to say I was disappointed, but that's why you buy on amazon. If a product is broken/plain doesn't work its easy to correct the issue.

Final thought: I'm sure this is because my controllers are old, so I'm sure if you have a "black xbox360" or newer versions these would work for you, but if you have an older one i would stay clear.
